He's not wrong...
He's definitely claiming it but in the reporting I've seen the NYT denies it. I've seen Carlson present no evidence, so either he's creating a major anti-NYT propaganda in order to boost ratings OR he's genuinely fearful for his family and the NYT really was planning some article on Carlson's home including address.
Weird thing about this type of "doxxing"...it's generally not hard to get someone's info if someone was so inclined. But when it's publicized broadly, it really does bring out the crazy in a handful of people who will want to do something with that info.
Let’s ask Matt Taibbi if the Left is demonstrating its respect for Tucker’s family’s right to privacy here or infringing on it for ideological conformity reasons.
the accuser. cathy areu, was so outraged, she has tucker on her website, so like anita hill stalker situation,
The nyt is a nice example of the banality of evil.
If he's brought it up, it's in the works. It's happening. He would not say something like this unless he had evidence. Or he heard it from Kanye.
THe New York Times are anti-American scum. As Carlson notes, Antifa (protected by the Democrats) demonstrated outside his first home, threatened his wife, and constantly sent him death threats. As a result, his family and 4 children had to move. NOW, the NYT wants to Dox him at his new home so Antifa can harass and threaten him.
The New York Times writer is Murray Carpenter and the Times Editor is Dean P. Baquet. They are responsible. I'm sorry to say, but these sort of Leftist only respect POWER and will only stop when it hurts THEM. Of Course, the Center-right doesn't want to believe that, and will instead twitter about "How can they do that?" and "Why does the Left do things like this?" and "Oh my, don't they understand it will hurt them in the end?". They want to dominate and will destroy anyone in their way. SO fight back or give up.
Of course, the Leftist response is "Where's the evidence?" This is just a dodge. They're really FOR doxxing Carlson's family and destroying them, but its bad PR to say so. That's why they play the "With no evidence," game. If Tucker provided 'evidence' they still would NOT condemn the NYT the Liberal/left would just go silence.
The Left are scum.
I remember Cathy Areu, the "Liberal Sherpa." She once argued that it was sexual assault to change a baby's diaper without consent. She was initially amusing, but she got tiresome quickly and I was glad when she stopped appearing on Carlson's show. I used to wonder if she was in fact engaging in deliberate parody because nobody, not even Inga, could really be so stupid. Silly me! Her complaint against Carlson is as absurd as everything else about her, although I won't say she's too crazy to be attractive, since plenty of men seem to find crazy women appealing.
I figured there would be some sort of sexual harassment claim made against him, but the left is combining that with doxxing. Anything to silence Carlson, who is the most clear-eyed commentator I know of and thus, is a great threat to the leftist bullies.
The left are horrible horrile people.
Why would you want to associate yourself with Biden, Antifa, or the Slave-Owner family NYT?
Just a few weeks ago, the NYT was preparing a story on the guy who blogged on Slate Star Codex. I never visited that site, but I understand it was a vibrant and interesting community. The NYT said they had to use his real name, so he deleted his entire blog.
So I don't know what is happening with Tucker, but I don't know what the NYT is up to these days either. Something not good.
(whoever said Tucker is trying to boost his ratings....I don't think he needs to)
We are in a Cold Culture War that is rapidly turning very hot.
Let's go over to Dean Baquet's place and hound him.
Better yet, a group of conservatives should go to Martha's Vineyard in August and harass the hell out of the libs.
He's right, of course. The godless Left never sleeps.
Imagine how paranoid the NYT newsroom is right now. James Bennet resigns. Bari Weiss resigns. The paper is about to dox Tucker Carlson and somebody in that newsroom alerts him.

Why is the NYT investigating and reporting on Carlon's home, address or not?
Why do you submit only two possibilities as fact *without evidence?
Cathy Areu is either an idiot or she does a good job of playing one on TV. She wouldn't want to "shop at Goldman-Sachs" until they choose a new name for their store because of the "man" in their name. I think she got too stupid for his show so Tucker stopped having her on. Now she's suing him for sexual harrassment because he changed his jacket in front of her, and mentioned he didn't like to be away from his family.
Tucker has to sell his previous house after being doxed.
The newspaper that disclosed the government's SWIFT monitoring program that was for tracking money sent to terrorists on the ground of the public's "right to know" will claim the public has a right to know Carlson's home address. The Times is indeed an enemy of the people.
This isn't the first time..He was already forced to move because of the intolerant violent left.....Anybody that supports that paper should be ashamed of themselves. YOU could be next.
https://thepoliticalinsider.com/tucker-carlsons-home-attacked-antifa-mob/
There is a history of previous doxxing and what happened. There is also an odd phrasing of the NYT response. Tucker sold the previous house that was attacked and may have his present home in a trust hiding the address. That is apparently a common way to avoid stalkers like the Duranty Times.
The Left do something nefarious? Oh go on! Just because a group's philosophy is based on coercion and has a track record of violence is no reason to think ill of it.
Tucker’s war of words is almost done. Keep your powder dry.
It's unfortunate that people saw this and started harassing the reporter for the piece (that will never be published).
ot:
Judicial Watch: Emails Shows Frantic Exchange Between Top FBI Officials Around Time of Trump’s Inauguration
(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch announced today it received 136 pages of emails between former FBI official Peter Strzok and former FBI attorney Lisa Page. They include heavily redacted emails showing Strzok, Page and top bureau officials in the days prior to and following President Donald Trump’s inauguration discussing a White House counterintelligence briefing that could “play into” the FBI’s “investigative strategy.”
A strategy?
hmmm - you mean like manufacturing an entire bogus Hillary-lost butt hurt lie about Russia to destroy the non-leftwinger who won the election?
Seems very likely to me. All I know is I fear the left now days. I would not wear a MAGA hat. I live near Seattle. People loosing Jobs because they say All lives matter. I think we are living in scary times and the worst part of it is.... Elected leaders on the left look to be feeding the mob and the group think.
Weird thing about this type of "doxxing"...it's generally not hard to get someone's info if someone was so inclined. But when it's publicized broadly, it really does bring out the crazy in a handful of people who will want to do something with that info.
I think that, when one harbors some crazy resentment against someone such as Tucker, the publicizing of the address can serve as a tacit allowance to act on that resentment - "the Times is practically begging me to do something" kind of vibe.
There's no way Tucker made it up. He knew the reporter and the photographer which means either there's a mole in the NYT or they were talking to neighbors.
The NYTs denial was weak.
If anything happens to Tucker Carlson's family again, anything at all, this is not likely to end well for the New York Times. One does not create the highest rated cable TV show in history without an army of dedicated supporters, and a statistically non-trivial percentage of that army will have self-actuating skillz.
BTW, Cathy Areu has already been Christine Blasey Fordeded.
I believe Carlson's claim here. Here is the way the NYTimes probably was planning it- a "friendly" feature on the home/s of /a TV news personality/ies. The photographs of Carlson's home just happens to catch a street corner with its signs in clear view along with an accidental capture of the mailbox number- in other words, an "accidental" doxxing. Carlson figured out what was happening and decided to pre-emptively strike back. I think the NYTimes will now back off, but the address will be leaked out now by multiple sources.
Sorry but the last 12 years (if not longer) has shown me that the left and the media will do ANYTHING to further their cause regardless of how underhanded, how dishonest, how vile. If some people, some, innocents, some children get hurt along the way, well eggs/omelets.
At this point I would need to see real evidence that they were NOT planning on doing it to consider doubting Carlson.
If he is correct that the NYT is planning to publish his address then there is no innocent explanation.
NYT style is just what prompted the Seattle mayor to evict the [anti] fascists and purge their some, select, Black Lives Matter diversitist ranks. Losing her religion.

What a sniveling coward... which is the go-to hero virtue signaling to the deplorable base.
"He's definitely claiming it but in the reporting I've seen the NYT denies it."
I think they denied they were going to publish Tucker's address. I don't believe they've denied they were going to do a story about where he now lives, including photos of his house, which is what he alleged.
This eventually ends with reporters/editors getting murdered in revenge because they doxxed somebody and something terrible happens. It's a demonstration of how economically, physically, socially, and mentally coddled and isolated the media is that they can't see that inevitability.
Mike
The NYT has denied it, and made an accusation. https://twitter.com/Timcast/status/1285551134241955840
Considering the slate star codex threat I incline to believing Carlson. However there is now another test of veracity available. The NYT made a claim about TC. Now, how can they assert he was “aware” before his broadcast? Only if they communicated to him. So, let them present that communication. No message, it didn’t happen.
Doxxing needs to be legally treated as a death threat.
Carlson's lucky he's prominent enough to issue a warning.
Garden-variety heretics without media followings have been harassed out of their jobs and menaced at their homes. They've been taught not to challenge the all-powerful Oz.
Howard said...What a sniveling coward... which is the go-to hero virtue signaling to the deplorable base.
When Howie is doxxed, we will find out that he is not just a fake ex-Marine, but a 30-something living in his mommy's basement.
You are truly a profile in courage, boy.
"This eventually ends with reporters/editors getting murdered in revenge because they doxxed somebody and something terrible happens."
This is exactly what is going to happen. Glass houses are a terrible place to live.
The NYT statement is a partial denial only. “does not” as opposed to “did not”.
The Times's denial was all weasel words- "no plans to publish his address". This is a tell- the denial could have been "no plans to publish anything that would allow a reader to find Carlson's house", but they didn't write that. This is why I think the story was probably a soft feature on the homes of a national news celebrity where the accompanying photographs would have allowed anyone to determine the address itself. By pre-emptively striking, Carlson is making it clear that the NYTimes will be directly liable if they push forward and something does happen at Carlson's home. The Times writers now have major skin in the game. They will now leak the address on-line though, and without attribution.
Tucker made it clear what the a-holes and the slave-owner Times are up to.
A doxxing invitation for the crazy brownshirt left.
Resist by any means necessary!

First how much higher do you think his ratings need to go to be highest on the cable news?
I think this is two-fold
1. To call them out on it and highlight what he has already had to do because of democrat doxxing.
2. To warn them off. He doesn't WANT to move again, he doesn't WANT his family "peacefully" protested to death.
So it's a nice tactic to try and pre-empt them, so that if they run with it, they can be doxxed honestly in return. And I surely hope he does, it's about time they got some of their own medicine.
This appears to be a preemptive strike by Carlson. If anything happens to his home of his family he will own the newspaper.
On the Areu chick, she either thinks highly of herself or Tucker was desperate that night. In the world of TV and entertainment, she's not much to look at.
Shorter Howard: Tucker must let Brownshirted doxxing mommy-boy basement dwelling actual deplorable antifa assholes and angry leftwing binary fem-o-terrorists who light state-owned patrol cars on fire - destroy Tucker.
Now she's suing him for sexual harrassment because he changed his jacket in front of her, and mentioned he didn't like to be away from his family.
7/21/20, 9:01 AM
Yeah, he said he was going to make a brief appearance at some Fox party and that he was alone without his wife and kids in NYC. In Areu's confused little mind, that constituted sexual assault. And he took off his suit jacket in front of her! The cad! While she was "tied" to her chair, ie still hooked up to her mic. Yeah, I imagine it looked just like this:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/photo.goodreads.com/books/1273755008l/5971641.jpg
Of course, when Areu was called by Fox and asked "Do you want to be on Tucker Carlson tonight?" she might have gotten ideas...
What’s your address Howard? I’d like to know. Don’t be a pussy. Put it right here.
Sulla's proscriptions, updated for the modern world.
"This eventually ends with reporters/editors getting murdered in revenge because they doxxed somebody and something terrible happens. It's a demonstration of how economically, physically, socially, and mentally coddled and isolated the media is that they can't see that inevitability."
They can't see it because they know the Right is not like the Left. They know the Left forms mobs and has no respect for the lives and property of others. They know the Right is, generally, law-abiding. That's why they feel free to dox. They don't think the Right will do anything to them. And the Right - as a whole - will not. However, as you said, lone individuals eventually will. When that happens, those individuals will be used to illustrate how "violent" the right is and every GOP politician will be expected to apologize for them.
What is this, "If he is correct" nonsense. Of course Carlson is "correct". The NYT was doing a story on where he lives, his neighborhood and his house. How do you think Carlson got the name of the reporter AND the photographer? Why do you think he went to trouble of saying this on his program? because they are NOT doing a story?
And here's the NYT response:
While we do not confirm what may or may publish in future editions, The Times has not and does not plan to expose any residence of Tucker Carlson’s, which Carlson was aware of before tonight’s broadcast,” the statement said.
For those of you who are stupid, the New York Times aka the Editor is saying that they might publish Tucker's address in the FUTURE.
Further, they say the NYT will not "EXPOSE ANY RESIDENCE" which means they ARE doing a story on him and where Tucker lives and they agree with Carlson's claim that they talked about the story they were doing.
Of course the Left-wing shits are playing the game of saying its "no big deal" or "where's the proof" NOW. Later, when Carlson's been doxxed and his family is attacked they'll go: "So sad." and move on immediately to talking about how much they hate Orangeman.
I think the NYT was too clever.
"@nytimes does not plan to publish Tucker Carlson's residence, which Carlson was aware of before his broadcast tonight."
note it says "does not plan" rather than "never planned"
and not publishing a residence is different than publishing photos. If no photos were planned, why a photographer?
it will leak
I despise, detest, and distrust the NYT, and its little dog WaPoo, too!

Left wingers routinely invoke safety concerns when people disagree with them even when the disagreement is mainstream and non-threatening. Anita Sarkeesian made her name in Gamergate and turned it into a sinecure on Twitter's Safety Advisory Commission by invoking safety concerns after being doxxed. These result in exactly zero assertions of cowardice from Howard. But Tucker - who has already been physically threatened and is a target of violent extremists - objects to doxxing and he's a "sniveling coward". What a disgusting person.

It sounds like the Times got some pushback, which resulted in the denial.
Within hours, an army of conservative Twitter accounts started publicly posting the address and personal information of the reporter Carlson identified as the story's writer. Many encouraged people to harass the reporter.

If wishes were horse turds, we'd all be shitheads
Does not plan means they haven't but Tucker claims somehow folks got his address so I guess it doesn't make a difference. This is just Fox show drama to boost ratings.
What were Tucker’s choices here (I assume it is true that NYT planned to reveal his address)?
1. Preemptively warn NYT, as he has done.
2. Pretend to know nothing beforehand, and after NYT publishes, wait to see if Antifa and others paid him a visit; then hunt them down one by one.
3. Same as 2 but ring his yard with Claymores.
So let me see what Howard is arguing: that it is wrong to fight being doxxed by the NYT; and you are a coward if you try to prevent it.
Since Carlson has already had Antifa mobs attacking his house, and his wife had to pull a gun... Howard is saying that we must accept mobs attacking our houses and wives.
But if it's cowardly not to allow them to attack... that must mean we should defend ourselves by putting antifa members into the grave. Is that what Howard wants us to go? I mean, if Antifa attacks Carlson's home now, isn't it a-ok for his family to gun them down without warning, and slaughter them until you run out of ammo? What with The NYT egging them on to attack and all.
Howard wants to take away all other options than to just gun Antifa down on sight, apparently.
He knew the reporter and the photographer which means either there's a mole in the NYT or they were talking to neighbors.

It's revealing Howard must pretend doxxing - something universally understood as intimidation and inappropriate - is perfectly acceptable for his characterization to be accurate. Since no one supports doxxing this framing is an admission he has no legitimate evidence for his preferred narrative and must rely on this absurdity.
Even more amusing is that anti-doxxing has long been a position on the left with literally no criticism from Howard. In his confused mind only those who fail his ideological tests can be judged. Thus every comment he makes is driven solely by his partisan hatred.
The only way this crap stops is if the left is bludgeoned by the same set of rules they demand for everybody else.
Doxx 'em. Doxx them all.
Ann - By buying a subscription and be a loyal reader, you are aiding and abetting this type of vile behavior. Can you go on the record. HA! Fake Marine keyboard tough guy speaks. Go back to your Nitschke scholarship, you unaccomplished pile of mediocrity.
The NYT made a testable claim. They said TC knew before going on air they were not planning to do this. That implies they provided him proof. Let's see it.
What’s your address big man?
Just to help the liberals out, here is a "decent intelligent liberal comment."
"This is really not a conservative/liberal issue and as a liberal, I want to be on record as opposing the doxing of any public figure including Tucker Carlson, that might encourage threats or harm against him or his family."
Any liberals of the thread willing to sign on to this and be regarded as "decent intelligent?"
No evidence that the Times was going to publicize his address. And the Times denies it. And that’s credible because how often have you seen the times do that?
On the other hand, it’s clear that the journalists were themselves doxed.
So who exactly wronged whom?
I doubt they would have just done "He lives here," so much as they'd have done a seemingly inoffensive story about him having to move... with a geotagged picture of his house. They're not so dumb as to not even bother trying to hide it.
This is just Fox show drama to boost ratings.
7/21/20, 1:49 PM
He already has the highest rated show on cable TV, you bozo.
CNN and MSNBC have been gulling fools like you with an impeachment/Russia hoax for years and you continue to swallow the lies. Because you love the lies.
Stephen is big on evidence when there is some that he can ignore.
Watched scott adam's on this and he was a bore. I find him weird in that he constantly switches from being the - cool neutral observer looking at bugs under glass - to be constantly, emotionally involved.
At bottom, he seems to really care about an issue that affects or might affects him and his friends, and blase about everything else. Nothing wrong with that, except I'm not him, and there's no reason to care about something that affects a person called Scott Adams, unless it also affects ME.
No evidence that the Times was going to publicize his address
We haven't been shown the evidence. Presumably Carlson knew that he was being 'investigated'; it's something that you're likely to notice.
Either Carlson has evidence, or he's fabricating something out of whole cloth.
And the Times denies it.
Actually the wording of the denial was both precise and strange. "does not plan to expose any residence of Tucker Carlson's".
That's resent tense. Not "we never planned to." We don't any more.
Presumably the Times already told Carlson before he went public that they were backing off, but he didn't trust them and went to air anyway, which is understandable.
On the other hand, it’s clear that the journalists were themselves doxed.
No, they weren't. They were threatened with retaliatory doxing.
Can you at least stick to saying things that aren't provably and obviously false?

Doxing is a terrorist act meant to intimidate and silence. I'm all in on the idea that turnabout is fair play, but in this case Tucker's info was not published.

Maybe it would be smart not to threaten. Who knows what shit may come down? It has been done to Tucker once already. I suspect the NY Times thought it was immune. He did not do it. This is going to get rough. Tough titty.

I think that if Biden wins, it will be such an existential threat to the American way of life that it will cause a war. Not a war with armies maneuvering against each other to take territory, or cities being bombed; rather, I can foresee a campaign of strategic assassinations. Think of that Hodgkinson asshole who shot up the Republican Congressional softball team's practice, writ large. "You've got a majority now? Think you can hold it if a big portion of your caucus comes down with a bad case of dead?"
You don't win a chess game by taking out the pawns, it's taking the pieces on the back row that changes the balance of power and sets up a checkmate. Just like Tucker Carlson and those NYT reporters, everyone has to go home sometime. Most won't have Secret Service or security details; even that might not be enough if someone is determined enough to take someone out and doesn't care about causing collateral damage. And it wouldn't be just government officials, national or local, at risk. All of the talking heads and influencers, anyone who is putting the enemy's message out there, would be fair game. It would be ugly. But that's what happens when customs like the peaceful transfer of political power and respect for political minority rights is lost. Many of those who have destroyed the political comity in this country might regret doing so in their final moments.
Howard's just plain wrong on this one.
This is America. Threatening violence, even very very subtly, to shut someone up (whether his megaphone is Fox or the NYT) is anti-Constitutional and, frankly, despicable.
Wasn't there a recent president who said, "If you disagree with someone, have an argument with them" ?
As a First Amendment absolutist, I'm with Barack Obama on this one.
