At the Effulgence Café...
... you can radiate everything you are.
And now that the geese have flown off, it's a good time to use the Althouse Portal to Amazon. Something I just bought — a new FlipBelt.

Star Wars’ John Boyega speaks out against racism following death of George Floyd"
What amazing courage, speaking out against racism. This man is a true hero we are lucky to have. In fact, we are unworthy.

23% growth in Q3?
It’s good for running. I wanted a new one with a zippered pocket because I worry about losing things. Holds the iPhone securely. No bouncing.
This is a link showing how Republicans are continuing to kill at the same rate during the worst event in history while Democratics have slowed their killing because they are so science smart, unlike dumbo anti-science GOPers.
Why does the GOP hate science so much that they kill so many people that could have lived? Does anyone really care?
Wife talked me into trying her flip belt. Then I got one. Much better holding phone for running than arm or wrist attachments. You’ll like it if you haven’t used one.
This is a link proving science is the new, but real, God, and only New Yorkers really understand science because they are so elite compared to other Americans, but not compared to anyone outside of America of course because New Yorkers aren't xenophobic racists.
What color did you get?
So, looking at these live TV scenes of the riot in Minneapolis, where George Floyd, a black man, was killed. Ninety percent of the rioters in these scenes are white.
How much you want to bet they are punk antifa types?
Would there be a penalty for refusing the order?
What other orders are we obligated to ignore?
Will there be liability for NOT ignoring an order?
Who will assume that liability?

This is a link reading a tweetbunch from what I feel is an old buddy of mine, though we've never met.
Chiclit used to use something called I think verbo or maybe not, I don't know, to do the same thing: speak aloud written words of commentators on obscure online site-presences.
I'd like tweetbunch to be my reason for respect this very day; any previous days can just fluff off.

Oh, and: Did Althouse ever talk about charging people to comment on how much she loves and cherishes free speech? My perception was the changes were a tragedy not of the commons, but of one or two brains, that everyone ought pray for, and hope, comfort is afforded to in some way.
Doing what had to be done to eliminate the shit/crap/poop, needing to change platforms whilst also keeping the current comments available for those with a decrepit* interest in the past, where dragons dormant await, is a process I would have assumed more of the commentarriat commentariat commentarriate commentariatte ... could have helped with.
Interesting....

Except that it is highly misleading. Click on the graph at that link, and you can see the whole graph. The peak in coved-19 deaths in Democrat districts has dropped from 7.4 to 4.1, while Republican districts have dropped from 2.0 to 1.7. So, yes, the reduction in deaths in Dem districts has been a lot greater, since it’s peak was almost 3 1/2 times that in Republican districts, and is still better than twice the Republican district peak.

The idea anyone could radiate all they are via this io ipso definition is lickable.
B.C. I would have never talked of licks, but After Corona many will find humor.

Apparently you are so innumerate that you don't understand that...because red states (aka Democratics sic) never had the very high incidences/deaths from covid, that they never experienced the declines from the highs the blue states did.
May God have mercy on your dumbass soul for not knowing how to do basic math.
See if you can read the stats on cases/deaths in the blue states as opposed to the red states, without your lips and ill-used neurons getting tired.
Here are the top states with the highest cases and deaths:

NY
NJ
PA
MA
IL
CA
MI
MN
How many of them are run by Republicans....fuckwit?

Beautiful sunrise. Your sunrise photos are appreciated.
The New Yorker is going soft. I read articles favorable to Lou Gehrig and P.G. Wodehouse in this week's issue. I guess their icon status has somewhat faded, and there's no percentage in being iconoclastic at abandoned shrines. Still it was reassuring to learn that whilst in a Nazi interment camp, Wodehouse behaved admirably and that Lou Gehrig had no great vices save being a too dutiful son.
I wouldn't expect anyone here to figure it out, but Herschel Walker was the greatest trade in history in the NFL for Jerry Jones and the Cowboys.
That's how they beat the Packers up and down left and right for years, winning 3 Superbowls in 4 years. Cowboys didn't realize Packer fans thought there was some sort of rivalry, as the 'boys just kept on winning.
This is a link that ought be like water off a snake's skin.
Up in New Hampshire a 3 year old boy named Eyas Tran demonstrated a lot of intelligence for his age when he noticed newspapers piled up in front of a neighbor’s house. He had the presence of mind to ring her doorbell, and when no one answered he told his mother who called the police for a welfare check. They found the elderly woman trapped in a tiny room in her basement, where she had been trapped for over three days. We need more kids like him in this country.

I don't like belts. I have something called a Roo Pocket. The pocket part fits inside my shorts; a flap goes over the outside and fastens securely to the inside with a very strong magnet. The pocket holds my phone; has a second zippered pocket that holds credit cards, money, ID. The outside flap also has a zippered pocket that holds my car key, gels, etc. No bouncing, no flapping. I run 60 miles/week; this is much better than a belt.
The geese may have flown, but the turkey vultures showed up today. They arrive every spring, glower on the radio tower for a few days, then fly off to locales unknown.
All Hollywood needs to suffer the consequences of their peddling.

I thought you weren't supposed to get a magnet near your credit cards.
Otherwise this sounds like it would be good if your waistband is very secure — probably tighter than the elasticized band on ordinary leggings and running shorts. It has to not bounce or feel like it's pulling your clothes down.
I see that you say it doesn't bounce, but I'm looking at it, and I feel it would move in a way that I'd count as a bounce. Obviously, you run much more than I do (and you carry much more stuff than I do).
What did the cops think they were doing by subduing a man, that was not resisting, in a way that led to his death? Were they trained to operate this way? Did they know something about this particular man that made them suspicious that he would become violent? Why did the city police administration think that firing the officers was justified but prosecuting them is not?
Because there is such a thing as due process. And lets remember justine diamond
replying to rehajm: Your to-be neighbors, the Kehlstein family, thank you for your concern; we have decided to go back to our original plan and call it Kehlsteinhaus.
Among other things, the Democrats in PA have apparently removed the preventions that they had in place for voting both in person and absentee. In the past, this was controlled by closing acceptance of write in ballots by the time that the polls closed, then removing the mail-in ballot before it is opened when someone also votes in person. They also apparently have other cheat enabling provisions in place such as not requiring ID to vote after having provided it once at a polling location, not cleaning up voting rolls, and apparently, maybe even having 100,000 illegal aliens registered to vote. In a state with a number of electoral votes that Trump won by only 44k votes.
Deep pocketed Dem groups bought a number of state secretary of state, as well as other election official (such as in Maricopa Co7nty, AZ) elections several years ago. Part of it was to help steal the 2018 election, which both bought them the House, as well as control over several key states. Buying the House stalled the House’s aggressive investigations of ObamaGate, as well as got Trump impeached for doing his job, and nothing more. But the buying of governorships and state legislatures may be more important in the long run, Ivan their drive to permanently set up a system that facilitates, instead of prevents, vote fraud. We see this up and down the line, with te measures take by states now controlled by Dems, to the provisions that Palsi keeps trying to insert into COVID-19 relief bills. Their drive to steal elections I unrelenting.
But have they thought it through. What happens if, for example, the Dem Presidential candidate edges out Trump in PA through late counted ballots from precincts with more votes counted than registered voters, or, indeed, than voting aged citizens (very possible with over 100k illegals registered to vote)? It’s notable that this template for facilitating voter fraud is seemingly being pushed the hardest in the Blue Wall states of the upper Midwest in 2016 that swung the election to Trump. Flip those three states, and the Dem could win. Even Pervy Joe Biden.
So far, while voter fraud has become ever more apparent, it can’t yet be shown to have affected the ultimate outcome of a Presidential election. Sure, ballot harvesting allowed CA Dems to steal a number of CA Congressional seats. But that state isn’t voting for a Republican Presidential candidate any time soon. But my question is what happens when the level of obvious cheating swings a Presidential election?
I wonder if that is why Dem politicians across the country seem so desperate right now to get guns, and esp modern sporting rifles like AR-15s, out of the hands of the citizenry.
The COVID-19 pandemic seems to have both helped and harmed the Democrats. Helping them has been the imposition of voting fraud enabling measures like making absentee ballots, where chain of custody is problematic, the norm, instead of in person voting that has built in fraud detection. On the flip side, Dem governors have cleared out much of their prison populations, including many violent felons, and their police have been instructed to concentrate on forcing social distancing, instead of rearresting those violent felons who are now out terrorizing the populace. One of the results of that appears to have been millions of Americans moving from gunless to gun owners for self defense.
Which reminds me, I need to buy another batch of AR-15 lowers, as well, probably, as 80% complete lowers. If I can find them. Build kits have disappeared, due to sales volume. I assume the lowers will be hard to find too.
AA,
No bounce at all. But yes, waistband needs to be sort of snug. I almost never have a problem with the waistband, though--it seems to be a perfect mesh of waistband tight enough for shorts not to sag in an unseemly fashion and tight enough for pocket.
Credit cards not a problem at all. I think chips are impervious; but my cards still scan if there is no chip reader.
Whatever works for you is what works, though. No need to change for change's sake. (See how conservative I am?!)
AJ
Thanks.
I like the FlipBelt for running, but I am looking for other alternatives for walking.
The parent geese in my nearby pond are still hamstrung by a string of goslings. One couple produced an astonishing 20 g's, all of whom are still healthy and growing. The time is coming for flying away but has not yet arrived. One of these mornings, however, you're going to rise up singin'. You're going to spread your wings, and follow ma and pa into the sky. Until that morning, well, here we are still paddling around our pond, until next Spring.
