Yeah, baby. That's what I'm talking about. The darks really make both of these pictures sing.

If President Trump really fired Flynn for lying to Pence, then why consider re-hiring him?

Wow Althouse, top notch.

People would buy some of these pictures if they were offered for sale.

Beautiful pictures. I saw that very same sun also rise, from a hill above Downingtown, PA, where I had driven to an all-night supermarket. I could watch that very same sun rise also because the all-night supermarket now stays closed until 7 a.m. I was 90 minutes early.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night.

AWWWE-some pix, Prof.

In the book thread last night I was corrected twice-- 1) Slowglass was Bob Shaw's idea, and 2) Empire of the Sun was the title of the JG Ballard movie.

1) OK, I haven't checked (I came here first) and will only plead that I don't recall even the name Bob Shaw as an author of science fiction. But I don't insist, and I do forget.

2) Correct: Movie vs Game title confusion--my bad. Two of my friends were ERS fanatics so that title stuck in my head.

After my posts, I went to bed

Huh, Bob Shaw it is! Must have been anthologzied with something by JGB, and I got them crosswise in memory.

Narr
It was the new pill! That's it.

The rays of sunlight emanating from the muted orange ball on the water...really so lovely.

We found the leg, and only the leg, of a great blue heron in the yard. Wonder which wild animal back there ate it.

Check their shirts in the next wash, Freeman.

Just when we thought it was safe to go outside. Murder Hornets!

Beautiful photos! When I see scenes like that I hear trumpets blaring and Charleton Heston pontificating.
(I see Inga...ARM is similarly moved)

Haha, that reminds me of my granddaughter’s birthday party, when the family dog Auggie came trotting innocently in through his doggie door with the front end of a deer leg in his mouth. When everyone started screaming he got confused and dropped it looking us as if to say “What’s wrong with you humans!”

Now showing -- Lucas McCain, the biggest killer of the West.

Ha!

Our sons picked up the scaly-looking heron leg with a stick and ran down the street to tell the neighbor kids (from a distance) that tree dragons were real.

There is and always will be something. Going outside and doing things is risky. Take the risk or not based on your weighing of the risk/reward.
