After only tweeting the image of an American flag in the last day, Trump finally tweets words: "Iran never won a war, but never lost a negotiation!"

Was it Mccullough who wrote yesterday that the swamp got kickbacks on the billions Obama sent? Who ever it was, claim your brilliant words.
A light went off in my head when I read that. I think that makes so much sense. The fight against Trump by Brennan et al has to have been about money- vast amounts for someone- and not just power.

Shrewd. Trump knows them for the Muslim rug traders that they are. Obama thought he could deal with them as if they were a bunch of Yalies.

Nice reminder to the people of Iran that without the Great Terrorist to coordinate suppression, they can end the theocracy and have better futures.

I do not know yet if the killing of Suleimani was intentional or if the general just was in the wrong place and got in the way of a drone strike ordered for other reasons.
Anyway, the deed is done and the fact that the U.S. is at war with Iran and has been for some time is out in the open for all to see.

"Why is this man laughing ?"

So, I guess we are marching on Tehran!

ARM, would you be so kind as to provide hourly updates on this phantom offensive?

Or would you prefer to return to your moronic Great Awakening/Imminent Recession narratives?

Hey, remember that nuclear war with North Korea that Trump started? It was all the rage on the left and LLR-left not that long ago......

.....I wonder whatever did happen with that?

I sure hope we all survived!

Michael K म्हणाले...

Hey ARM, whaddya think?

Is Chris Murphy's idiotic statement a better lefty talking point than yours?

LOL

What was most awesome about the lunacy vomited up by the pro-Iran terrorism democratics last night was how it was so obvious they were not able to focus group their talking points so they simply lashed out in quite revealing fashion.

Perfect.

Looks like the Stable Genius hit his primary military target and also achieved large secondary political explosions on the dem/left/LLR-left here.

Beloved Commenter AReasonableMan म्हणाले...

The problem with abandoning all your principles to embrace the Great Pumpkin is that you end up supporting Hillary. No one would have been surprised if Hillary had done this. This has Hillary written all over it - insecure narcissist trying to prove that she is tough.

Lucid-Ideas म्हणाले...

He was also closely allied with Moqtada Sadr. Remember him? You could've mapped a new river - 'The Armory River' - of weapons that flowed from Iran, to Iraq, to Syria, to Hamas and then Hezbollah with the weaponry this guy and his deputies funneled to the enemies of the US.

I have no doubt he's not the first domino to fall, and we've likely got eyes on lots and lots and lots of his friends. Good. Very good.

Drago म्हणाले...

So to summarize the left/LLR-left talking points over just the last 2 days:

1) Benghazi really was an horrific failure.

2) Trump's campaign promise to disentangle us from the mideast is totally spot on!

Thanks dems/LLR-lefties!

Of course, one mustn't laugh at the democratics/LLR-lefties too much. You see, they are afflicted with both long term and short term memory loss.

Just take a look at Biden! He thinks the cereal he ate this morning was a gangbanger from 60 years ago!!

A Delaware gangbanger........LOL!

No matter how you attempt to twist and turn - if Lindsey likes it then it's a Hillary move.

Lucid-Ideas म्हणाले...

Now that ISIL (Sunni) is pretty much a functioning non-entity now, Iran's licking its chops.

What they were never able to do during the Iran-Iraq war, Turkey, the USA, Iraq, and the coalition against ISIL may have provided the opportunity for - a Shi'a takeover of Iraq and a Sunni majority not entirely well-prepared to stop them without foreign assistance.

God, how I hate these people and their Achaemenid politics.

ARM: "No matter how you attempt to twist and turn - if Lindsey likes it then it's a Hillary move."

LOLOLOLOL

Seriously. Run along home laddie. This is not the place for you today.

Besides, dont you have a sham impeachment you are supposed to forget about?

You might want a major rewrite on your Great Awakening and imminent recession gambits as well.

One final thought: I am so very sorry this is happening to you. Sad and somber. Sad and somber......

rhhardin म्हणाले...

News about the future is less constrained than news about the past.

rhhardin म्हणाले...

Did I mention she was also sad?

traditionalguy म्हणाले...

The Stable Genius could have attacked and killed many an Iranian leader and be in trouble for it. But he carefully targeted the one guy who was a feared killer all over the world and who had threatened to kill America's and our allies military forces with his IED squads just like he got away with doing for the past 15 years.

Murderer Sulemani who bragged about blowing off the arms and legs of thousands of young American men has just lost his own arms and legs. Nice work.

Michael K म्हणाले...

It’s about time we tried a little tenderness with Iran. We should have burned Qom to end the hostage crisis in the Carter Presidency. We could have avoided a lot of the subsequent unpleasantness.

Reportedly, the Joint Chiefs advised taking out Kharg Island, Iran's oil port. Carter vetoed it.

Had he not done so, we might never have had Reagan.

MadisonMan म्हणाले...

No one would have been surprised if Hillary had done this.
I would have been surprised if Hillary had waited this long. Trump had cause to take action. I laugh at the comments in my Facebook feed where the comments are "Iranian killed who was just visiting Iraq". Hoo boy, the naiveté.

Kassaar म्हणाले...

In the aftermath of WWI, the western world lost its appetite for war. The English were militantly opposed not just to war but to equipping their army for war. They thought weapons factories were a cause of war. The spirit of the French army used to be "attack, attack, always attack". After WWI, when the Germans re-occupied Rhineland with a few poorly trained brigades, the French army counseled against sending the French army in to kick those German brigades out. The risks of defeat were too great, the French generals said.....The one people who had not lost their faith in the wisdom of guns and generals were the Germans. The Germans, sometime after Dresden and the Russian occupation of eastern Germany, came to the conclusion that war was not the solution to their problems, but it took awhile......Perhaps someday the people in the MIddle East will come to an understanding that vainglorious dictators, religious fanaticism, and the force of arms are not the best way to improve their lives.

This. In my experience in this part of the world they are very strong-man centric (duh). It's like this both because they need the leadership to get anything done and because if he's not strong enough to keep his competition at bay or from killing him, he won't and he'll be dead. So what you do is you pop a bunch of the senior leadership, wait till the cream-rises so to speak and then pop them...and then things start to happen. All the sudden, no one wants to step-up anymore and things die down a bit while they regroup. Then the emerging confidence of the third-in-lines starts to rev up but they're just never ever as good.

These people ARE NOT the Roman Republic after Cannae. They couldn't lose half the senators in a rout, come back fighting to keep Hannibal away from the gates, and burn Carthage 20 years later.

You know......Trump is making Obama look completely incompetent.

Who would have guessed that a senator from Illinois could be such a fuck up??

Trump is now Hillary - a pawn of the permawar party.

So you're happy now?

@ARM: Is there such a thing as reverse projection? Trump takes out a really bad dude who has been killing ours for decades. Hillary takes credit for the torture death of the benign Qaddafi at the hands of his own people then pussies out on the Benghazi attack. So you claim Trump is becoming Hillary?

Seriously, how stupid are you?

Narr म्हणाले...

I don't recall "benign Qaddafi" and apparently "his own people" didn't think that highly of the fellow.

Not that I defend the Obama-Clinton farce, sucked all too willingly into Libya for the benefit of others.

Now I understand the Turks are sending military forces to Libya-- good. Let them police their former colony.

Sometimes torture death is the happy ending

Nichevo: I dropped out of college and enlisted in the USMC days after RR was elected. The Reagan administration actions, including the horrible rules of engagement and protection around the Marine barracks in Beirut in 1983 (our squadron was debriefed by a Mustang Skipper about a week after it happened. It was the most shocking display of insubordination against the commander and chief that I have ever witnessed). Then the subsequent arms for hostage trade with Iran made the whole situation feel like a huge betrayal at the time.

Dale Dye (another Mustang Skipper) wrote a book about the Beirut fiasco which was similar to the debrief I heard at the time.

only the late admiral lyons was really on point re Beirut, recognizing it was a proxy effort, by iran, and the iran initiative was ill advised, however when the last administration, basically committed that error 100,000 fold, there's no contest
