Where are the homeless tents? The druggies? What kind of ruthless, uncaring town is Moab, anyway?

Moab! Is Meade going to ride the Whole Enchilada?

It's not Moab, but Ute Valley in Colorado Springs is a nice local ride with some slick-rock-ish terrain:

A nice pleasant walk in the park or in a nice neighborhood is an excellent antidote to the hideous politics of the day.

I had trouble finding a plunger in Moab, never mind free healthcare and a mobile needle exchange.

we're blown away by that dandelion pic!

I wonder whether/how the cataract surgery has changed the experience of photography for our hostess?

Kamala carries a gun but doesn’t want us to.

Bernie makes millions but doesn’t want us to.

AOC flies in airplanes but doesn’t want us to.

I’m seeing a pattern, are you too?

Speaking of too much politics. I cancelled my Netflix on line subscription today. Netflix's adding AOC and the Obama's on top of relatively poor movie and TV show choices was the decision maker for me. Amazon Prime has more than enough - although my hypocrisy is showing given the political stance and newspaper ownership of its owner.

Barr has declined to appear before the House tomorrow citing the intention of Nadler to have House staff do the questioning.

Nadler's head exploded.

Barr is standing strong against the Democrat/Media cabal.

What I wonder is what kind of new car did the professor finally settle on, if any?

PJ had a good question for the hostess. How different was last week's trip experienced with the spanking new eyes?

I would like to nominate this as the stupidest thing ever written on the Althouse blog.

I don't know about that- Chuck and Inga have done some Nobel level work in this area. I mean, they are like the Harlem Globetrotters of stupid.

I haven't looked it up, but judging from the color of the sky in the dandelion picture, Moab is quite a bit above sea level.

AA, I don't know if you are aware of the work of the 20th century American photographer Lee Friedlander, who made many "urban landscapes" during the 60's-80's. His was a very photographic way of seeing, using the limits of the frame to force objects into strange juxtapositions that exist in the real world, but we tend not to notice.

It's not my style, but I did learn a lot from studying his work. His usual tool was a 35mm camera, which has a 1.5:1 aspect ratio. Your camera appears to be set to 4:3, which I like better.

And let us not forget that today, through tomorrow, is Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Never again.

Let us remember.

Moab the town is about 4000 ft in elevation.

There's not as big a difference as I thought there might be.

Of course, I do see much better and I don't need glasses anymore (except for reading). But I'm not seeing lots of new things to photograph or feeling especially interested in photography. Not so far, anyway.

I've decided for now to stick with my Audi TT. I just like it a lot. Like the manual transmission. Not feeling called out to by some new thing. No other car is as great looking as the one I've had for the last 14 years.

Our other car is new (from last summer). It has some good, practical features, but when I have the choice, I pick the TT.

I cropped that photo a bit.

The camera I took that picture with died the next day. And by died, I mean that I killed it. Drowned it. Had it on the hotel desk next to my Hydropak, and if you know anything about Hydropaks, you know how easy it is to think you've got the lid screwed on right when you don't. So much water leaks out before you notice the problem.

Smart gal. Felt the same way about my six speed Acura TL. Loved the feel of shifting gears. And the car looks great.
