I just got email from Roger Stone with the subject line "about my arrest...".

It reads:
Friend,

I pleaded NOT GUILTY today. I intend to fight until the bitter end to expose the corruption of the Special Counsel and the Democrats.

I'm sure that you have heard about the FBI's pre-dawn raid on my Florida home and subsequent arrest. Backed by 29 FBI agents in full tactical gear and televised by CNN, Robert Mueller has sought to label me as guilty before innocent.
From the start of this "investigation," I have been completely cooperative with Congress and chose to offer my voluntary testimony about the 2016 presidential campaign. Had the Office of the Special Counsel requested that I turn myself in, I would have gladly done so.

Instead, they launched a SWAT operation that was more suited to apprehend Pablo Escobar, all in plain view of their mainstream media goons who were camped out across the street from my house because they "got a tip."

FBI agents swarmed onto my property and surrounded my entire home in bulletproof vests and night vision goggles. My wife Nydia, who is hearing impaired, and our two small dogs woke up to a thunderous bang on our front door.

When I opened the door, I found myself looking down the barrel of two assault rifles. A helicopter flew overhead and an amphibious FBI unit pulled up into the canal behind my house.

I was told to put my hands behind my back and was quickly handcuffed. The rest is history as they say...

Defend Roger [a clickable button]

The idea of using this kind of force when I am ( falsely) accused of non-violent process crimes, have no prior criminal record and do not own a gun or a valid passport should concern every American.

The government has watched my every move for the last 2 years. There was no reason to do this but to try and scare me, and taint any chance I had a at a [sic] fair trial.

While the mainstream media and Democrats continue to lie about what I said, I remain steadfast in my commitment to sharing the truth about the historic election of my friend Donald J. Trump as President of the United States.

They have used statutes and brought charges they almost never use, precisely because they have not found any improper collusion or coordination, the entire reason the Special Counsel was established.

Even our president realized the heavy handedness of their actions and Tweeted about... this proves the charges are absolutely politically motivated:

The charges against me are carefully fabricated — the witnesses compromised and coached. Note I am not charged with Russian collusion or Wikileaks collaboration or conspiracy!

Donald Trump defeated the political controllers and their collaborators in the mainstream media in the most epic of ways. As someone who helped him along that journey, they have made me a marked man.

Like others before me, the FBI plans to pressure me into making false claims about President Trump or face the consequences.

I refuse to bear false witness against Donald Trump. I refuse to tarnish my integrity in order to earn freedom from persecution.

I plan to fight these bogus charges... and I plan to win. Doing so will not be cheap or easy. That is why I need your help.

Defend Roger [clickable link]

Mounting a proper and effective legal defense against the United States government will cost me millions of dollars. Contrary to popular belief, and fake news websites claiming that I am a mega-millionaire, I have spent the last of my savings fighting this persecution. My wife and I have had to end our health insurance plans in order to make ends meet and pay my attorneys.

Current estimates place my legal costs at north of $2million before all is said and done. Some of you patriots reading this can give more than others, but any amount that you can donate to my legal defense fund will be greatly appreciated and put to good use.

Won’t you send an emergency contribution of $25, $50, $100, or if you can, $500 to my Legal Defense Fund Today? My life and my freedom are in your hands.

Rush $25
Rush $50
Rush $100
Rush $500
Rush Other Amount

At 66 years old, I never thought that I would find myself in the fight of my life. I refuse to let Robert Mueller run roughshod over our legal system and trample on our basic fundamental right as Americans... the right to be innocent until proven guilty.

That is why I need your help. We may never be able to meet face-to-face or talk on the phone, but I want you to know how much this means to my family.

You are my last hope. Some people might see that as a low point, though I do not. I trust in patriotic Americans like you to do what is right... now more than ever.

P.S. I'm facing a minimum $2 MILLION price tag to clear my name of the Deep State's baseless charges! I hope I can count on your principled support of my legal defense today! Thanks and God Bless, Roger

I'm amazed that the FBI, which couldn't find enough people to field two different investigation teams a few years ago, had 30+ people when you consider logistics support and stand by responders, to arrest a sleeping old man.

So, it returns full circle to the Wikileaks document dump in 2016.

7.22.16 - Wikileaks publishes the DNC e-mails
10.7.16 - Wikileaks publishes the Podesta e-mails (part 1)
11.7.16 - Wikileaks publishes the Podesta e-mails (part 2)
11.8.16 - Trump wins.

The Left is STILL butt-hurt over losing the 2016 election (now more than 2 years ago), still blames the loss on the Wikileaks document dump, and still believes the Russians got the stuff to Assange to make such dumps.

Boo-Freaking hoo.

We already covered this ground in The Pentagon Papers of 1971. Generally, it's a crime to steal the docs, but not to publish them.

Get over it. Move on. You lost. That's the way the political cookie crumbles, sorry.

Honestly? I lost all faith in the Mueller investigation when he indicted a bunch of foreign organizations, and one Russian one said: "Oh, actually, we'll come to the U.S. to be prosecuted," and he said he wasn't ready.

I can't afford to support Stone's defense, but his arrest was a sh!tshow, clearly payback for the years of annoyance he has provided to the a-holes in charge down there, despite the ostensible cause.

They like to kick down the doors early in the morning, before you have a chance to either stumble down there and see who it is, or call the cops, to provide a pretext ("failed to respond to knocking at the door") so they can break in and toss the place. If they showed up at say, 8:30 AM, Stone might have met them outside. But that wouldn't be as entertaining for the CNN crowd. And of course, these days, it's all about entertainment.

This time, Stone. A private citizen, harmless, unarmed. Next time, who?

The same lefties screaming for sanctuary for illegal immigrant murderers, sexual assaulters and child molesters is so very very pleased that their coup leaders sent an armed SWAT team to arrest a sleeping old dude and made his 72 year old wife stand barefoot in the street in her nightgown in front of their coordinated CNN camera crew.

This just a week after the lefties were literally calling for the assault and some even of murder for a 16 year old who simply stood still and smiled.

And you wonder how it is that millions were murdered under leftist regimes in the last century.

There you go.

Remember, the left really does intend to disarm you by force and then proceed apace...

Ken B म्हणाले...

I for one am glad that the safety of these agents is taken so seriously. Having a National TV audience will deter these rowdy senior citizens from attacking twenty or more armed agents. Can never be too careful with dangerous geriatrics.

Skeptical Voter म्हणाले...

Considering Roger Stone's age, the fact that he doesn't own a gun, and doesn't have a passport, a Deplorable land county sheriff would have sent a single 105 pound female sheriff to arrest him some time in mid morning. No reason to disturb the man's breakfast after all.

And with a white collar type like this--charged with a process crime at best the old FBI way was to call the man's lawyer and ask him to have his client turn himself in.

But Muueller--ah Mueller. 29 FBI agents in full body armor, 17 vehicles and an 0600 arrest.
What was the purpose of all that--methinks it was to put on a show for CNN--conveniently tipped off to be there at 6 in the morning with lots of cameras. Mueller should be ashamed of himself. That arrest was a full blown clusterfark of a clown show--for the benefit of CNN and the mighty Mueller reputation.

I assume this works, from a prosecutors' point of view. The FBI dawn raid in full tactical gear is intended to signal to everyone (judges and potential jurors) that even though this is purely procedural white collar crime, this guy is like a spy or a Mafia head. (Like nailing AL Capone on tax charges, I suppose.) It seems entirely unethical behavior, designed to undermine the impartiality of any trial, but everyone in the judicial system just seems to shrug it off.

You see how effective it is, when even a federal District Court judge jumps to the conclusion that General Flynn could have been found guilty of treason (based on no evidence actually before him, of course.)

One reason for the raid. If they have to break in to get their guy, the can toss the house looking for evidence, “incidental to the arrest”. If Roger knew they were coming and stepped out onto his porch and said “Here I am, take me,” they wouldn’t get to.

Drago म्हणाले...

Thank goodness the FBI had 29 heavily armed troops present to "secure" the always dangerous 72 year old wife of Roger Stone.

Reminiscent of the Clinton sending in the armed SWAT team to remove Elian Gonzalez from his loving family's home after his mother died to escape the communist s***hole that is Cuba so that Elian could be sent back and raised in the People's Paradise of Cuba.

Priorities people, priorities.

On the other hand, given the democrats newest infanticide possibilities in NY state, Elian was lucky he wasn't conceived in New York State. He likely would have ended up in pieces on the Selling Block of Baby Parts that the lefties are all excited about.

And before the usual lefty subjects chime in that those video's (showing Planned Parenthood workers laughing about all those cool baby body parts) were deceptively edited, the 5th circuit, after a long court case and deep analysis, proved they weren't.

Humperdink म्हणाले...

“A look back at Roger Stone’s ‘big league scam’ super PAC

One of the more unusual chapters in his recent political history was the short-lived Committee to Restore America’s Greatness super PAC. Despite being a single-candidate super PAC in support of Donald Trump, the group shelled out just $16,000 of its $587,000 fundraising haul on independent expenditures supporting Trump.

The lack of pro-Trump spending is unsurprising, as Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski told The Hill the super PAC was a “big league scam” shortly after it was launched in December 2015.

Still, despite being fired from the Trump campaign in August 2015, Stone was able to use the super PAC to raise substantial funds before terminating it in January 2017. He used a significant portion of those funds to pay for legal fees and travel, along with mysterious payments that have come under scrutiny from Mueller.”

On the plus side, Stone was treated somewhat better than Saddam. To date no pictures have been posted of Stone being deloused........I'm impressed with Trump's honesty. He's been a big time real estate developer who poured concrete in NYC for years, and they still haven't nailed him for Mafia collusion. Probably his NYC corruptions are related to the Dem politicos here, so he's protected.......I hope Stone finds a way to monetize this and come out ahead. Revenge tastes best when it's served cold as a frosty glass of lemonade.....,Which was more gut wrenching: the questioning of Monica Lewinsky or the apprehension of Roger Stone?

What do you expect from the true fascists, AKA progressive left. I'd say Mueller did a pretty good impression of the Gestapo with his Roger Stone raid, wouldn't you? To call the left dishonest would be an understatement. And fools like Inga will be the first to pay the price at the end of this road.

mccullough म्हणाले...

Mueller was a total joke as the head of the FBI.

No Wall Street guys arrested after they melted down the economy. Just following W and Obama’s orders probably. Got to protect those two hacks benefactors.

Spent years harassing The Wrong Man in the Anthrax Investigstion.

Let Maj Hasan off the hook so he could kill over a dozen people at Ft. Hood.

Mueller is a total failure at getting the job done.

Comey wasn’t any better. But at least he was fired. Mueller was asleep on the job for over a decade.

If the government weren't shut down at that time, the FBI would have assigned even more agents to this raid.

The FBI agents who did participate had to get up extra-early, but they were released from work extra-early too. They were able to get to the golf course by 2 p.m.

Mike Sylwester म्हणाले...

The reason why the FBI has become such an abusive, partisan agency is that it recently was headed for more than a decade by Robert "The FBI Whitewasher" Mueller.

Exactly. Indicates how pervasive corruption at the FBI is. These agents ars of tbe "just following orders" type. What a disgrace.

And I'm tired of hearing the "just a few bad apples, most FBI agents are honorable blah blah blah". Bullshit. That may fly with civillians but in the Marine Corps the culture is "if you see someone doing something corruot and you don't bother to stop and challenge them, you are just as guilty as they are.

It's never the 10% bad apples that are the problem - every organization has tgem - it's the other 90% that look the other way that are the problem.

The FBI is a disgrace. They do not serve the Rule of Law. Do not help them or cooperate with them. They might as well be State Secret Police like the Gestapo or Stasi.

I saw the story in the news about the four cops getting shot in Houston by drug dealers and then thought of this story, about the FBI sending a small army (and navy) to take down that desperado Roger Stone. And then I thought that it was too bad that the force ratio couldn't have been the other way around, with a small army sent after the drug dealers in Houston and four cops sent to arrest Roger Stone in Fort Lauderdale. That would have made a helluva lot more sense.

The Stone arrest, like the Manafort and Cohen arrests before it, with a ridiculous force footprint meant to intimidate, shows the imbalance the citizen has in dealing with the o'erweening power of the State. Even citizens of some prominence are merely kernels to be ground under the weight of the millstone of justice, should they run afoul of someone with his hands on the levers of power like Mueller. The State has an unlimited budget, with unlimited lawyers and unlimited time to grind the citizen (who has no such resources) down into bankruptcy. This is how Mueller got his "guilty" pleas from people like General Flynn, for example. And if they can do this to prominent citizens like the ones I've mentioned, they can do it to you if they so choose.

Think about it.

Dude, if they had had you in their crosshairs, they would have gotten a conviction out of you, too. Doesn't matter if you did anything wrong or not. All they have to do is squeeze you a bit, make you hire a lawyer for a few months, drain your bank account and make you sell your house to pay the lawyer... Yeah, it's easier to plead to a "lesser charge" and "flip" on your bosses.

FBI Director testified in front of Congress yesterday. I bet none of the Congress critters asked him if he felt this raid was a proper use of FBI assets and did he authorize it.

I recall the FBI let Hillary's lawyer hold onto the emails for months until he finally coughed them up but only after he and Cheryl Mills et al had looked them over and ?? deleted only the "yoga related" emails.

Also, the FBI was onsite one day after Bridgegate story broke yet never raided Hillary's home to get her emails.

Its a non sequitur but hard not to notice the difference in FBI behavior.

Two very specific credible tips (including a video of the shooter, under the shooter's name, declaring what he is going to do) in advance of the Parkland school shooting - Don't have the resources to investigate something that might kill and injure dozens.

Process violation allegation against a Trump ally - Send the equivalent of a NATO country's entire special forces to publicly apprehend an old age pensioner.

You know them by their priorities.

When I went through the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, they taught us that if you have to do a really dangerous raid, you go in strong at 3AM with complete surprise. I was appalled, though not surprised, when they decided Koresh (the local sheriff said he could be arrested by anybody when he went to town) was so dangerous they needed a fullscale raid, in daylight, with the pre-alerted network cameras rolling. The Branch Davidians burned down 4 ATF agents. It always kind of surprised me the guys who ordered that didn't get fragged, but at least unlike Mueller their careers pretty much halted there. Another richesse was the ATF spokesperson stating they had to go in because children were at risk, as if Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms' real mandate was Child Protective Services. They were in such desperate danger that Janet Reno had to have them incinerated to save them.
