I see that Trudeau has signed into a pledge of open borders. I wonder what would happen if the US loaded the people from the Caravan onto air conditioned buses and drove them up to the 49th parellel?

Big Mike: If I recall, Canada asked us to close the gateway to Canada in New York, I think, that we were leaving open for immigrants to go to Canada illegally. So. They probably wouldn't like it.

I read the pleadings in the Flynn case. The government's sentencing memo paints Flynn as cooperative and helpful but never says what the lie is, just a vague reference to a conversation with the Russian ambassador. The Flynn memo, however, paints a picture of out of control FBI and DoJ. It was an obvious perjury trap (there was nothing to ask since they had wiretapped Flynn), and McCabe (who comes across as a real dirtball) lulled him into a false sense of security by telling Flynn a lawyer was not necessary, decided that Flynn would not be told it was an official interrogation, and the FBI agents would pretend that they were allies of Flynn in counter-terrorism. The conversation was not memorialized until August 2017, 8 months after the interview a 4 months after Mueller's appointment. The government does not contest any of this. Judging from the pleadings, the government is kind of proud they pulled this off. It is hard to imagine more unethical and immoral behavior.

The good news is the judge ordered the government to produce the documents, including any drafts, meaning the judge has concerns too. Here's to hoping the judge orders ahearing to get ot the bottom of these shenanigans

But Canadians disagree.

Canada is returning to Haiti the Haitians who went from the US to Canada because they believed Trudeau when he said they would be welcome in Canada.
"Only about 8 percent of Haitian migrants had received asylum here since the summer, [the Immigration spokesman] said, while there is a backlog of about 40,700 cases, according to Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Board."

So this pledge of open borders is just unbelievable hypocrisy. The reality?
"“We don’t want people to illegally enter our border, and doing so is not a free ticket to Canada,” [the Immigration spokesman] said in an interview. “We are saying, ‘You will be apprehended, screened, detained, fingerprinted, and if you can’t establish a genuine claim, you will be denied refugee protection and removed.’ ”

I happened to catch a piece of Christine Ford handing the SPort Illustrated award to Rachel Denhollander (who came forward to start the cascade of allegations against the disgusting Nassar). Strange, Ford lost the little girl voice she had at the hearing. In fact, she sounded like a normal 53 year old woman. Her voice sure changed a lot in two months. Also, her hair was combed and she lost the tassle. Hmmm.

ALso, nice move SI to bury Denhollander's achievement in shining a light on the diguting Nassar with the stupid comparison to Ford. Some stories about it do not even mention Denhollander.

Former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is suing several media outlets, including CNN, for $300 million for reporting he was a "convicted felon" who went to prison.

The lawsuit was filed Monday against CNN and its president Jeff Zucker and anchor Chris Cuomo, the HuffPost and its political reporter Kevin Robillard, and Rolling Stone magazine and staff writer Tessa Stuart.

Arpaio alleged CNN defamed him when Cuomo referred to him as a “convicted felon” in a Jan. 10 broadcast.

“As of today, the CNN Broadcast is still available through Defendant CNN’s website and no efforts have been taken by Defendant CNN, Defendant Cuomo, or Defendant Zucker to correct this false statement,” the lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia said.

Roger Stone explains why Gen. John Kelly lost the battle against Trump’s personality

by Myra Adams December 12, 2018

'When Gen. John Kelly became White House chief of staff on July 31, 2017, the only variable was when, not if, the following would be written: “White House officials are hoping that Kelly will be able to resign instead of being fired by tweet. First Lady Melania Trump has been urging the president not to fire a four-star general but instead allow him to leave on his own terms.”

Ironically, that paragraph, which appeared in Politico on Dec. 7., neatly summarizes why Kelly was destined to fail: Trump’s brand is chaos.

As a lifelong Marine, Kelly knows chaos as an enemy that grows rapidly to fill any space vacated by order and discipline. Chaos must always be defeated before the real mission begins.

While serving the president for 17 months, Kelly fought the battle against chaos and lost because he was fighting Donald Trump’s personality — an unbeatable foe and the root of all White House chaos."

Roger Stone's quote:

“The people who go to work for Donald Trump don’t understand that unlike conventional politicians, Trump cannot be ‘handled’ or managed. He is very much his own man, a force of nature and extraordinarily stubborn in imposing his will which is of course his right considering the authority American voters vested in him in the last election. Interestingly history shows that those working for Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt also decried their bosses’ willingness to be ‘managed.’

"The American people knew what they were getting in Trump, a brash, supremely confident entrepreneur with no shortage of ego and a ‘big picture’ view of things. It is not incidental that those aides who have run afoul of the Chief Executive are those who thought it was their job to derail the President’s populist agenda to ‘protect him from himself’— while those like Larry Kudlow and Mike Pompeo, who embrace Trump’s agenda, have reportedly developed an excellent relationship with him.

"No one puts words in Trump’s mouth or ideas in his head. He is the architect of his own improbable victory in 2016 and an economy which has come roaring back despite predictions that this was impossible.”

Flynn told the truth. The truth was no violation of the law. A year later, a scalp was needed.

So the metric you use to make the decision to talk, is not if you have something to hide, but rather, do the cops need a fall guy. Since its impossible to determine that, a reasonable person errors on the side of self preservation.

and that he would "Peel Back All Those Tax Cuts ..." when asked if he meant only corporate tax cuts, he said i'm talking about all the tax cuts

so, Fred the slumlord Ran against Both a balanced budget, AND tax cuts. He was pretty much the Only democrat to lose in iowa this year: Thanx Fred!

The involvement of McCabe in Flynn’s entrapment is easy to understand once you know the story of Robyn Gritz. She was a long time FBI agent who was suing the agency over sex discrimination of the sort that became illegal back in the 1970s. McCabe ran her out of the agency despite a long record of exemplary performance ratings — also illegal since the 1970s — and Flynn wrote and signed a letter supporting her. We aren’t looking at misdeeds byGlynn; we’re looking at McCabe and Comey engaged in payback.

1971, I was working in St Paul MN, and I was on the afternoon shift (3pm to 11pm). On the way home to (Farmington MN) after work, I stopped at the Subway on South Robert St. I ordered my sub, after they made it, I sat down to eat it, and people in the Subway said: "look at the cops!" Looking out the window they (about 4 cops) were inside my car (1965 Cadillac Sedan Deville). I set the sub down, went outside and said: "hey, that's my car, what the fuck?", the 1st cop grabbed me, threw my ass on top of the hood, and one of the others shoved that shotgun against my throat. They were pissed, and I can't remember why they decided up to go nuts, but I repeatedly said: "hey, I just got off work" and eventually they just left. I had one of those black lunch boxes with the small thermos on top. They opened that up, sandwich bags all over, thermos opened with a little bit of coffee on the front seat. Never talk to the fucking cops. They are not your friend.
