Joking in The Era of That's Not Funny.

Dear corrupt left, go F yourselves म्हणाले...

I am so sick of blondes with dark rimmed glasses.

Henry म्हणाले...

Titania pulls in more guppies every day.

From more of that twitter feed:

Just let it go man. Parody account. I made a mistake xD

...

So just because she's a woman you think it's a joke?

My name goes here. म्हणाले...

Titania.

Heh heh.

Patrick म्हणाले...

Ha! It's like that Sean Spicier account- keeps getting them!

Big Mike म्हणाले...

She describes herself as a "Healer." See, she can tell a joke!

Nonapod म्हणाले...

I can no longer tell the difference between parady and actual comments when it comes to SJW nonsense.

Eric the Fruit Bat म्हणाले...

I am so sick of blondes with dark rimmed glasses.

Me too. You'd think Bernadette from TBBT would have been enough to put a stop to it.

The look seems to be popular among young attorneys, so maybe the end is in sight.

tommyesq म्हणाले...

Who is this woman and why do we care whether she is serious or not?

tim maguire म्हणाले...

Humour is a patriarchal construct.

Only men are funny? I hear that a lot.

Earnest Prole म्हणाले...

I can no longer tell the difference between parady and actual comments when it comes to SJW nonsense.

Yes, that's the way parity works.

Jupiter म्हणाले...

Of course it is. Men created everything.

Ingachuck'stoothlessARM म्हणाले...

@Patrick
maybe it's the same person. Hmmmmm.

rcocean म्हणाले...

I wonder why its so hard to tell satire. I think its because its a form of humor, and as Scott Adams said, 1/3 of America doesn't have a sense of humor, they just fake it.

Plus, lots of people can't read for context, as anyone who's been on the internet knows.

And now, we learn its a patriarchal concept - so there's that.

tcrosse म्हणाले...

Je suis Titania la blonde,
Je suis Titania, fille de l'air,
En riant je parcours le monde,
Plus vive que l'oiseau,
Plus prompte que l'éclair!

Women should girlcott her.

FullMoon म्हणाले...

Titiana is great. Many take 'her' seriously because of so many crazy things said bt real fems.

Carol म्हणाले...

I always know when it's parody.

What's wrong with me.

Wince म्हणाले...

"Humour is a patriarchal construct."

Close, Titania. More like a patriarchal obligation, these days.

Humour (verb): comply with the wishes of (someone) in order to keep them content, however unreasonable such wishes might be.

PM म्हणाले...

Too bad if true, because Teh Funny is #2 on my list of what makes females attractive.

robother म्हणाले...

Titania McGrath needs to be taken seriously. #MeToo is no joke, it tolerates no jokes, and it's taking names.

William म्हणाले...

The proof of the subtlety of your humor is if someone doesn't get the joke. Most people got the joke in Abbot & Costello movies.......Female humor must have different roots. Ellie Kemper and Julia Louis-Dreyfus had good looks, fabulously wealthy parents, and happy childhoods. I can understand why people would try to amuse them but why would they try to amuse people? I can understand why Carol Burnett became a comedienne.

Danno म्हणाले...

We revisit this parody so soon.

Titania is conducting an ongoing one-woman seminar on Poe's law. She is really good.

Howard म्हणाले...

I bet that's not her real name nor her real picture. she is probably a man tweeting in boxer shorts and a wife-beater.

Lucien म्हणाले...

For some reason this reminds me of “Ninotchka”.

Yancey Ward म्हणाले...

I am 100% sure it is a parody account, but if someone could prove it isn't, I still wouldn't be surprised. That is how bonkers the Left is.

Yancey Ward म्हणाले...

Megan McArdle's site used to have a commenter named Blighter who wrote the best satire I have seen on-line, and I was thinking while I was reading Titania's feed that perhaps this was Blighter reborn.

Amadeus 48 म्हणाले...

All hail Titania McGrath, the queen of radical feminist send-ups.
She’s deadly serious.

Amadeus 48 म्हणाले...

“I am so sick of blondes in dark-rimmed glasses.”
Too much Sinema will do that to you.

eddie willers म्हणाले...

Who is this woman and why do we care whether she is serious or not?

I Googled her and I still don't know.

Blogger rcocean said..."I wonder why its so hard to tell satire.."

Could it be the messenger has difficulty with his/her language?

bagoh20 म्हणाले...

Having a sense of humor will seriously harsh your anger and depression, and I've worked hard to get there. Besides, I still have half a case of tissues and already paid for another month of therapy. This is not the time for jokes.

Amadeus 48 म्हणाले...

Titania McGrath is a Brit/Irish parody account that ruthlessly makes fun of SJWs and identity politics by making deadpan, outrageous statements in the gender politics/social justice vein. She famously sent a letter to the NYT empathetic advice column the Sugars concerning her disgust and despair at being white. They published it and gave their advice: feel guilty and vote Dem.
Althouse had a couple of posts on it.

dbp म्हणाले...

Titania McGrath is some sweet satire.

My only complaint is that her tweets self-destruct in 7 days, which makes going back to look at an old one, problematic.

She had a very nice picture a while back, of her wearing a hijab, and not much else. Yow!

Sam L. म्हणाले...

Women have NO sense of humor, then? Works for me.

tim in vermont म्हणाले...

"Was that over the top? I can never tell."

tim in vermont म्हणाले...

A friend of mine was complaining about the patriarchy just the other day. It seems that her husband can eat 2200 calories a day and maintain his weight, she can only eat 1500.

Bay Area Guy म्हणाले...

I had a girlfriend once named, Tatiana. She was Czech - and quite hot, I may add. As a joke, I often called her "Titiana".

I was often titilated by her charm, accent and other attributes.

Double A--
Is this "Poe's Law" post triggered by your E.A.Poe post?

stevew म्हणाले...

Titania is perfect in these times of not funny and no satire goes unpunished.

JackOfClubs म्हणाले...

"Patriarchal construct" is a patriarchal construct. It makes women self-marginalize themselves by saying stupid things...

stlcdr म्हणाले...

Now that’s funny!

Aussie Pundit म्हणाले...

"Titania McGrath" is a parody account, making fun of leftists.
Take this, for example:

"Spare a thought for those who are both gay *and* non-binary.
It’s not easy to be attracted to members of your own sex when you don’t have a biological sex to begin with."

Aussie Pundit म्हणाले...

Other gems from Titania:

"The only way we can stop fascism is if the police are allowed to arrest people for what they say and think."

"The medical profession have always been fat-shamers."

"In the undoctored video, Trump is actually trying to grab the intern’s pussy while Acosta intervenes."

"Gender fitness gap, gender cycling gap, gender science gap, gender orgasm gap...
Until we close all these gaps people will continue to believe the myth that there are differences between men and women."
