"... 1) Identify an unsuspecting target, 2) Subdue the target, 3) Exhaust the target, and 4) Execute the sexual assault. We want to fight with all our might and the moves we have above in the second phase. In the third phase, however, right before an assailant executes his sexual attack, all he wants to do is exhaust the victim and gain complete control, so fighting back actually may backfire at that point, wasting energy. Gracie’s Women Empowered training program teaches women to recognize when they’ve entered that phase where they are truly trapped and are no longer in the defensive movements phase—and to feign giving in. Pretend to be compliant (kind of like playing dead for a bear). In those split moments, the predator will think you have given up and will loosen his grip, giving you a chance get away."

1. Identify an unsuspecting target
2. Offer a starring role
3. Get laid
years later
4. Escape
How many feminists will read this and get irate?
More than half?
I watched the first UFC many years ago in the 90's.
One of the events was Ken Shamrock, a 200+ pound beast against Royce Gracie, who probably weighed 150 pounds. By today's standards, it was a boring fight. But Royce was like a python, continually tightening his grip and tiring Ken out by letting him swing away to no effect. Choked him out eventually.
There's also dozens of Gracie children. Dude was prolific.
I watched some Weinstein company production just the other day. I don't remember what it was. Good films. You notice the credit though.
Can we have a break from the woman obsession?
I'm 68 years old. This obsessing about women has been 24/7 my entire life. Every election in my life has been about women first. This is a pretty concrete indication that women are the most powerful group in the country.
From my perspective, it looks like you've been hogging the attention and demanding everything for yourself every day of my life.
Can't you give it a rest?
It's not women in power but domestication that's missing today.
You can be raped while asleep too. Kleist's Marquise of O. Suddenly you're inexplicably pregnant. The right move is to put an ad in the newspaper seeking the father.
The only guy that came close to beating Gracie in the early UFC was a guy (I believe Dan Silver and I believe UFC 3) who was an Olympic medalist in Grecco Roman wrestling. The main reason that guy lost to Gracie was that he couldn’t throw a punch to Gracie’s head when he did have in in a submission hold.
By UFC 4 pretty much everyone had groundfighting as part of their game.
The same would apply here to a woman being attacked. It wouldn’t be enough to get them to the ground. Then you have to strike hard and repeatedly.
Domestication is how men and women get along.
Among its forms: jokes (That's not funny!) and a good prose style.
A young woman friend recently told me that I can't understand contemporary young men and that something has changed fundamentally.
She might be right.
So many young men are growing up without fathers and they are browbeaten every day by the media and the educational system with the feminist crap. And, in the schools, it looks like women are pulling the same crap Ford did in the Kavanuagh biz... ambushing men with false abuse accusations whenever women don't get what they want.
If I were facing being tricked in this fashion constantly by women, I don't know how I would respond. Every sexual encounter now is laden with the recognition that the woman might decide to take revenge if she doesn't get a phone call the next day.
Factor in that the young men may have internalized something that we older men have been talking about for decades: If women aren't going to honor the traditional male role of protector, why in the fuck should we continue to honor the code of chivalry?
OK. You loudly command "Back off" to break their concentration and draw a crowd. And then you move and hit or shove them to let them know you are not a vulnerable target. Those acts requires you have mental coolness and know how to show aggression.
By Jove, it seems to be the MMA fighting method of DaTrump and DaKavanaugh.
"Nearly all" or "speculative guess"?
The most important phase is phase one.
Stay observant and always have a good situational awareness. So many people do things that make it almost impossible to be aware of their surroundings.
I think you’ve beaten this topic to death.
I was with my 34 year old daughter all day Saturday. #metoo came up, and she complained she must not be attractive, no guy has ever mistreated her in word or deed. High school, with lots of extra curricular, Band, chorus, Cross country, wrestling manager, drama, and more. Lots of exposure to guys, late hours, and such. College RA, travel abroad, night classes to get her MBA. Never a hint, never a victim, This is a girl that passes for Marilyn Monroe, on Halloween, and stands 5', 3/4"
Maybe its just that she's not a victim. She also has a lot of male friends, always has. Maybe its an attitude, not a victim, not a harpy. Anyway I told she is plenty attractive, and don't stop doing what she is doing, she has the male/female thing figured out.
. 1) Identify an unsuspecting target
*IF* a toronto policeman said that the 1st step of a rape was identifying a target...
There'd be Slutwalks Glore!
Any Woman has the right to Not Be Raped, Therefore!
Any Woman can wear Whatever she Wants, Whenever she wants; and shouldn't have to pay any attention to her surroundings
</sarc
In the wild animal kingdom the preferred defensive tactic during step one is the fitness display. Run around like crazy and jump high in the air so the attacker moves on to a target that's easier to catch.
I tell my crazy feminist friends there is an ERA already...it's the second one.
Brown belt with a .44 beats a black belt.
Wasn't sticking your finger down your throat and throwing up on yourself once taught as a defensive tactic against rape?
Beyond vomiting, how to prevent rape

I highly recommend renting/getting the DVD for the under-seen David Mamet marshal arts film Redbelt starring Chiwetel Ejiofor as a jiu-jitsu academy owner. One of the points that Mamet/someone else makes in the extras is that approx. 90% of fights that actually occur end up on the ground where Karate and TKD are not very useful, but jiu-jitsu and other forms can be. A good self defense course will address what to do when you are on the ground and rolling around with someone bigger and stronger.
Folks, if you are in a paw locking contest, that is grappling, go for the eyes and balls. Grab 'em, squeeze 'em, jab 'em, rip them out...
But if possible, pull a S&W Centennial .38 revolver and empty it into their guts first. That takes their 'spirit of the bayonet' right out of them.
Savvy?
"In the third phase, however, right before an assailant executes his sexual attack, all he wants to do is exhaust the victim and gain complete control, so fighting back actually may backfire at that point, wasting energy."
If this is true, the typical academic feminist claim, that rape is motivated by something other than sexual desire, needs at least some calibration.
Well yes Virgil, if they have their heads stuck in a ipod and not aware of their surroundings then to the ground is where they will go, and probably a bad end for them.... Keep aware folks... keep you head on a swivel. Don't let them surprise you.
...or you could pull your gun from your purse and shoot the fucker dead.
1) Identify a target,
2) Execute the sexual assault.
fighting back actually may backfire
If they're fighting back they've already been assaulted, hence: 1, 2.
I think those four steps were some sort of advertising, trying to make it sound complicated enough that you need an expert to explain it.
Guns work. Shoot the bastard in the groin. Guys can’t do much with their pecker shot off.
@Fritz, the gun needs to be lightweight and easily concealable, which sort of rules out a .44. And the woman needs to be able to handle the recoil for follow-up shots, so at most a compact 9mm, but more likely a .38 or a .380, or a .22 magnum. I favor revolvers because of reliability, but Glock owners are almost religious in their claims that Glocks never jam.
I can't understand contemporary young men and that something has changed fundamentally.
She might be right.
My grandson who is 14 is interested in baseball and the military. He also plays quarterback on a local football team but is so skinny he needs to beef up to keep playing.
Girls? Nope.
I am trying to get his father to let him go into the Marine Corps out of high school but he keeps hoping for a baseball scholarship.
A concealed gun checkmates a rapist. There was a radio program one time in LA. The Chief of Police was on with a talk show guy named Michael Jackson, who was a lefty.
Every caller was a woman who carried a gun in her purse. The Chief would lecture her about breaking the law and she would say "I refuse to be a victim!"
Then the next caller and it would be the same. All women and all carrying guns. It was hilarious.
It went on all Saturday morning.
My old aikido sensei had me volunteer to assist in his anti-rape classes. He pointed out to his students that if they’re attacked by a rapist it be a female who is approximately their size and weight, but a male who is more my size. Aikido has no punches, no kicks, and no ground grappling, but he taught how to always be aware of what’s going on around you — don’t ever be unsuspecting! — and how to turn the opponent’s size and strength against him so he gets his face slammed into the ground while you run like Hell. He also taught some ground escape moves from his experience with ju-jitsu. He claimed that from just before ejaculation and for a few seconds a man’s brain totally shuts down, and that’s the time to kill him.
Doc Mike prescribes high CTE risk for Grandson, unexpectedly
The virtue of martial arts training is not all the cool techniques. It takes years of practice to do those reflexively in a high-stress situation and many black belts I know still haven't internalized that reflex. The real virtue is instilling the mindset that resistance is not futile, that fighting is an option, maybe your first option, that's open to you. That's revelatory for a lot of folks, especially women.
The website left out some things.
Women should not bother trying to strike a male attacker. The might be some pro athletes that could hurt men but more likely you are just going to hurt yourself.
The advice to strike them in the neck and hit the carotid artery is particularly stupid. I have over 20 years into this and I wouldn't bother with the carotid artery. The angles and the muscles protecting it make it a niche target at best.
At least stab them in the neck with a key or a pen. That would work.
Grab. Claw. Tear. Gouge.
Ears are particularly vulnerable and easy to grab. A good first target if you are grappled. When they reach up to clutch the hole where their ear was go for the eyes.
Also what they are describing in part 3 is true. You must rely on surprise and get them when their guard is down.
About 90% of sexual assaults are committed by an attacker who knows the victim - I think somewhere around half of them are intimate partners. And most of the attacks occur in the victim's own home.
I don't think "Identify an unsuspecting target" is really Step 1 for most sexual assaults.
Although I suppose you could argue that it's still Step 1, it's just been done a long time before Step 2 is implemented.
Kick 'em in the balls!
