Many examples of Lefist Nazi Behavior

"Newsflash, for many of you who still aren't realizing what is happening...the left is operating right out of Hitler's play book. The hate the left has for Trump's supporters is right up there with the hate the Nazis had for Jews. They aren't just hating on Trump, they hate YOU specifically. The left IS coming for you, your family and your children, at this point, its only a matter of time. The extermination of jews didn't start right away, before they got to that, the nazis spent quite a bit of time indoctrinating everyone to despise the other side, just like what the left has been doing for the past few years. It always starts light, first a few jokes on late night shows and a few cartoons, then a few assaults because someone dared to be X, and before you know it you are getting hauled off in the middle of the night to get exterminated. My Mom grew up in Eugene, Oregon, and my father (from Portland) married her there.

To tell a long story short, I grew up in Eugene from age 15 to 25. I attended the University of Oregon in Eugene, and so I am a "UO Duck".

I left the UO with almost an MA in Slavic Languages and Literature.

To make a long story short, I grew up around Oregon ducks.

When I returned to Eugene in 1997 to stay with my parents for three years, one of my first memories was to take my 17-year-old step-daughter to the Willamette River, where we all saw a male duck rape a female duck. The duck-duck rape was very graphic. Too bad for my step-daughher.

Also, "They're coming for Trump supporters next"

Steve King (R Iowa) on twitter - "America is heading in the direction of another Harpers Ferry. And after that comes Ft. Sumter"

The perception of existential threat is more and more prevalent. I said this could happen; threats lead to the acceptance of danger, the normalization of it. Wars start in large part because the idea of a war becomes thinkable, at least among the leadership caste, but it usually also requires a public buy-in, even in a despotism.
In this case the media is pushing a large fraction of the public into what amounts to war-hysteria, and the other side is starting to react.

I don't know what anyone on the right can do about this, it is all media manufactured. They, on that side, simply have to stop.

They are losing. That is very dangerous. Germany in 1914 was very worried about Russia. They had no intention of invading France. They worried about Russia.

In 1860, the South was very confident the North would not fight. Sherman tried to warn them.

The left is very sure they are right and "history is on their side."

buwaya म्हणाले...

Hysteria creates its mirror-image indeed, and this reflects back and forth, usually, in cases of an escalating propaganda war. But the right has a very dull mirror, or better said perhaps is that the other side seldom looks at it. The hysterical flow is largely one-way.

The left-hegemonic caste does not require the amplification from the right, they don't receive these signals.

Which is why the right has no leverage on this situation, nothing can be done.

Almost all of my reading these days is Ecclesiastes: there is nothing new under the sun. I prefer the biblical axiom over the 20th-century alarmism.

...the modern consciousness deals more and more with signs rather than with things, let alone persons. The reason for this is that signs are necessary to simplify the overcrowding of the consciousness with objects.

That's from Thomas Merton, published 50 years ago.

The media manufactures a lot of signs, but it is possible to avoid responding in kind and instead see things and persons.

Gahrie म्हणाले...

After he apologizes to Sarah Palin. maybe.

langford peel म्हणाले...

There is a lot that can be done buwaya.

The level of danger is extremely high. The recent attacks on Sarah Sanders, Secretary Neilsen and Attorney General Bondi are just the latest escalation. I fear for the children and grandchildren of the President. Just posting a photo of a mother with child led to horrible attacks on Ivanka and her son. The liberals have called for the kidnapping and rape of the Presidents eleven year old son without suffering one whit. Something has to give. When you hear someone like Maxine Waters talk you know we are going to a very bad place.

Harpers Ferry is a good analysis. Do you know who led the Federal troops to capture John Brown? It was Robert E Lee.

Who is going to be the John Brown of this civil war?

To my knowledge, no prog has protested the lefty attacks; Maxine Waters explicitly called for more.

Beyond the attacks themselves, this sets us up for worse: if prog leaders truly have ceased to care about the other side, and about common rules that protect all of us, then we are on the verge of a deeper conflict.

Which side are you on?

Gahrie म्हणाले...

The problem with assuming a personal response is that you need to anticipate what other people will do, re "signs" and whatnot.

langford peel म्हणाले...

What has to happen is that the media and Hollywood and the leftist opinion makers have to pay a price.

Only our side pays a price. Like Roseanne. Or any other person who is identified as a supporter of the President.

Something has to give. Soon.

langford peel म्हणाले...

Just know that you can not count on the police. They have been demoralized and beaten down to the point of ineffectiveness. They will not protect you. Their political masters are almost always liberals and politically correct drone office holders. They won't even go into a school to stop one pimple faced kid with a gun. They will cower outside like they did in Florida under a typical Democratic liberal sheriff.

There will be a bad incident soon.

Then there will be hell to pay.

mockturtle म्हणाले...

Henry, I agree with you [and with Solomon] but the fact that nothing is new under the sun doesn't make a present crisis less of a crisis. As there is 'a time for war and a time for peace', we may want to turn our plowshares into swords, at least metaphorically speaking, in readiness.

Gahrie म्हणाले...

If we don't make them pay a price it will only get worse and worse.

Sadly at this point I do think it's going to take serious pain handed out to the Left to bring them to their senses. MAD only works if the other side believes you'll really press the button if they do. The Left has pushed the button, and so far the only response from the Right is to elect Trump.

buwaya म्हणाले...

It's interesting to follow the career of Charles Sumner. An ardent abolitionist he was famously attacked in the Senate by South Carolina Senator Preston Brooks who nearly ended his life. We are communal animals. We are designed to respond collectively. It is easy to assert free will, unconstrained, but that is only the case, possibly, through exceptional force of personality and great effort. And then we do, of course, have the ability to fool ourselves and rationalize our desires into virtues.

It is fair to say that we are capable of free will, but its a stretch to say that we are very good at exercising it.

I wish that assassinations could be gamed out openly in civil society, instead of being muttered about, so that we could see what we are looking at.

One "crimes" merely by discussing political killing - though lese-majeste only goes so far - but the top 20 media owners, AFAIK, are just people. Aside from the obvious security response, it would seem easy and fun, but in fact the consequences can only be seen in a mirror darkly.

There are so many examples of bad behavior from the left since the start of the 2016 primary season.

This makes no real sense to me. Why should gays support transgenderism? Esp here, where national defense is involved? Esp egregious for me are feminists supporting the transgendered. Why? Because it means people with penises, and not vaginas in their bathrooms. It means the destruction of female athletics, as it is taken over by genetic males. But then we have black politicians backing open borders. And Jews supporting antisemitic politicians and the antisemitic party. Heck, most of them still belong to the party whose co-chair is a Jew hating Muslim.

There is an adage to the effect that those who don't understand history, are doomed to repeat it.

I find it interesting that so many Trump supporters, those on the right, etc, are now reconciling themselves to essentially another civil war. I do think that it is possible. One thing that has changed are the demographics. Working class whites have long been one of the most dangerous demographics. Esp the Scotts-Irish descendants of Andrew Jackson. I think that the next thing that we will see, in terms of violence, is some masked fascist antifas shot while appearing to attack people with their bats and other weapons. The antifa domestic terrorists don't seem to realize that bats and the like are legally considered lethal weapons, which means that you can often legally shoot someone in self defense if they come after you with such. Some will, of course, be prosecuted by left wing prosecutors, to send a message. Won't work. And this time around, the DoJ isn't going to jump in to tilt the scales in favor of the left wing terrorists, as they did with BLM under Obama.

Oh, and a couple more bodily attacks on Republicans is going to give us nationwide concealed carry reciprocity. The right hasn't been arming up for the last decade or so because they fear a massive wave of four legged predators. They fear the state, because they know what the left does when it takes control, whether it be the Communists in Russia, or the Nazis in Germany. First thing that they do is forcibly disarm the population. Second thing they do is start killing those who engage in wrongthink. And we are seeing the Blue States working hard to disarm their law abiding citizens, but typically doing little to nothing to disarm their violent criminals. Reciprocity will come because the sane part of the country will refuse to allow these fascist supporting left wing politicians to control their right to travel by making much of their states no-go to those who don't trust corrupt politicians with their own safety. And, maybe after nationwide concealed carry reciprocity, we can get federal preemption of state and local gun laws that restrict citizens of those states from buying they want for personal protection, even if they don't have reduced capacity magazines, or are constructed of modern materials, and are scary black in color. Blue, gun grabbing states are going to squeal like stuck pigs. But state restrictions, esp by CA are already affecting what people can buy in other states (as is the case of automobiles). The sale of firearms involves interstate commerce, and state attempts to affect the national firearms market are more than sufficient to justify de dermal involvement to regulate interstate commerce.
