“In its rush to claim the high ground in our roiling national conversation about harassment, the Democratic Party has implemented a zero tolerance standard,” Ramsey said in a statement Friday. “For me, that means a vindictive, terminated employee’s false allegations are enough for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) to decide not to support our promising campaign. We are in a national moment where rough justice stands in place of careful analysis, nuance and due process.”...
“After I told her I was not interested in having a sexual relationship with her, she stopped talking to me,” [the male subordinate, Gary Funkhouser] wrote. “In the office she completely ignored me and avoided having any contact with me.”...

Darn it, another Democrat down. How will we cope?
I note Senators Franken, Menendez, and Carper, all Democrats, are enjoying life to the fullest despite their abuse accusations.
When do they resign? In Franken's case, why hasn't he?

I had to read the story closer to see the true import of this one, though. This time it's the girl being forced out for sexual harassment.
That's a new (and welcome) twist.
--Vance
The description doesn't sound like sexual harassment, just unfair treatment due to be rebuffed.
I'd say that sexual harassment goes both ways--predatory women etc.And they do in fact exist. But while true that understates the case now that there are 32 plus flavors of gender identity.
There are going to be a lot of semi-innocent casualties in this purity war.
This crucible does not discriminate between the guilty and the innocent.
Franken resigned, I saw him do so on CNN a week or so ago. He's just not left. I would say the likelihood that he eventually does leave diminishes with each passing day.

@Nonapod, ever hear of the phrase “hostile work environment “?
Pervnado is turning into the greatest friendly fire event of my life.
The circular firing squad is a beauty to behold...I'm going long on popcorn,
The guys last name is Funkhouser, which sounds to me like a made up name for a farcical comedy show.
Her sin was wanting a heterosexual relationship. If she had hit on a woman, she would be admired by all for her great courage to be herself and won the race easily.
@Big Mike - sure, but that ain't necessarily the same as sexual harassment.
And certain people here were all too happy to report a Republican settling an allegation of "hostile work environment" as an admission of committing "sexual harassment".
"The guys last name is Funkhouser, which sounds to me like a made up name for a farcical comedy show."
Not that Funkhouser.
This is hysterical in its stupidity!
Hopefully, Nancy Pelosi asks ME out one day.......
Ah..explains (moreso) why Seinfeld went for that high schooler.
Me too
Another Alford plea. This one is interesting because she claims she would have fought the sexual harassment charges by countersuing for defamation if they had been brought it against her directly, but didn’t because the lawsuit was filed against the company not her, while at the same time declining to fight the charges now by dropping out of the congressional race.
Frankly, after all of the feigned pearl clutching over "Binders full of women" I'd say it's more than past time for the Democrats to really enjoy the fruits of their labors.
Obama's white house was responsible for setting up the kangaroo courts at Colleges based on Title IX so I hope a few more pols get to enjoy being found guilty without any chance to defend themselves against spurious accusations.
Sw: Christianity had a concept of "already, but not yet" that would seem to apply.
Had, not had.
That was a typo, not a commentary on the state of Christianity.
Okay now the reality. The DNC is throwing her under the bus because the district in strong GOP...the GOP incumbent won 60-40 the last two elections. And she isn't THE candidate...but just one of the declared candidates that first have to win the primary next spring. So she is very easily expendable. The "zero tolerance" thing is crap.
An aside that I find interesting is that a female teacher is charged with raping a male student almost weekly. I wouldn't know this if I didn't check the DailyMail site fairly regularly. The majority of offenders are twenty somthings.
Curious that in this current environment this fact isn't more front and center.
The ghost of Robespierre smiles.
October is going to be so much fun, watching the dems attempt to take out every single repub candidate for everything with this issue.
ribbon,
Instapundit tends to keep up with that..do a search there.
But yes..aside from articles, there is pretty much no social commentary on it..no tearful Kimmel displays.
It's not "rape rape"..hot for teacher and all that.
"We are in a national moment where rough justice stands in place of careful analysis, nuance and due process.”...
However did the party of nuance-ful deep thinking respecters of due process come to such a pass?
There is a certain beauty to watching the left occasionally pushed to formulate arguments against reflexive overreach...Damon just recently daring to put behavior on a continuum an example.
walter,
My first link to DailyMail was from Insty. He doesn't point them all out, but ya, you can find enough to make you go hmmm on his site.
My curiosity as to why the crying circus ignores these multiple cases is feigned..It simply doesn't fit the "Men are evil predators, Women are pure victims" narrative.
For those that may think I'm exaggerating the women rapes boy phenomenon, I suggest you enter the three words -DailyMail Teacher Rape-- in DuckDuckGo (haven't tried in google). I just did, and quit scrolling after 3 pages of unique incidents.
The cancer of sexual harassment continues to metastasize.
What's good for the goose....
An aside that I find interesting is that a female teacher is charged with raping a male student almost weekly
What puzzles me about most of these cases is that the teacher is almost always attractive enough to walk into any bar in the country and pick some one up.
"What puzzles me about most of these cases is that the teacher is almost always attractive enough to walk into any bar in the country and pick some one up."
True, but that pickup at the bar wouldn't be a teenager that was apparently desired.
I believe this will start an avalanche of powerful women being punished for this kind of thing. I predict by the end of 2018 nearly twice as many will be brought down!
Gahrie ,
Puzzles the hell out of me as well. Also puzzling is why their weren't any 1976 versions of these women in my school when I was 15.
I kid, I kid.

Former Assistant County Administrator of Pima Co., AZ was named Lindy Funkhouser. The County Administrator was Chuck Huckelberry. It was a laugh a minute, I can assure you.
The evidence that she harassed this guy and retaliated seems very thin. It's a he said she said which resulted in inconclusive litigation and agency action.
It's really unfortunate that people are being forced out of this and that on what is basically mere (and stale) accusation. I do not take any comfort in the fact that the accused in this case is female.
David,
On the one hand I completely agree, we are approaching Mao's Red Guard territory. On the other I'm having a hard time not enjoying the schadenfreude.
It's mostly been the moral preening assholes that started this crap sandwich that have fallen victim to this latest moral outrage.
This cannot be.
Andrea is a woman's name.
I heard that joke before
but it was a pussy in the sink
I think
that could be a Dr. Seuss
if you had the right illustration
Andrea is a woman's name.
Unless you're Admiral Andrea Doria. Andrea is Italian for Andrew.
32 plus flavors of gender identity
Two genders (i.e. mental and physical traits): masculine and feminine, closely correlated with two sexes (i.e. genetic): male and female, respectively. The other flavors are Labels for partitions on the transgender spectrum (i.e. significant deviations from gender), including: homosexual, bisexual, transvestite, crossover, fluid, undecided, etc.
I live in the district, and this is a whole heck of nothing. Basically, the DLCC got spooked by a nothingburger lawsuit and dropped support of her. Kind of a bad look to pile on and say "I told you so" when this is such a thin accusation. We have some mutual friends, and I tend to believe her when she says:
"Twelve years ago, I eliminated an employee’s position. That man decided to bring a lawsuit against the company (not against me). He named me in the allegations, claiming I fired him because he refused to have sex with me. That is a lie. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission investigated the allegations and decided not to pursue the complaint; the man later decided to voluntarily dismiss the lawsuit. Because I wasn’t a named party, I didn’t have any opportunity to participate in its resolution."
I'm no Democrat and have never once voted Democrat. I hate abortion, Emily's List, etc. But this piling on is stupid.
The one good thing is that perhaps the goose/gander thing will cause lefties to think twice about blindly believing every accuser.
...define "performance"...
A Republican settled a lawsuit claiming "hostile work environment". We were labeled for weeks as hypocrites and loathsome human beings for not demanding the immediate resignation of this man because the settlement proved "sexual harassment".
Never saw that considered a "personal attack" though.
So, sorry, not sorry.
If you think Pat Robertsons moral majority was a terror, just wait and see what new left has in store for you.
She was running with the endorsement of Emily’s List, a liberal women’s group that has raised more than a half-million dollars to help female candidates who support abortion rights.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...
But this piling on is stupid.
When Progressives/Democrats do it, it's for the greater good and their agenda moves along. When Conservatives do it, it's stupid.
They have to live by the rules they have created for everyone else.

Agreed, but we should be better than that.
Men, always press charges, always sue. Now I add, see sexism everywhere and use it to your advantage.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration is doing the admirable thing:
Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke revealed today he has fired four senior managers at the Interior Department for inappropriate conduct, including sexual harassment.
“I’ve already removed four senior leaders that were guilty of inappropriate behavior and I will remove four hundred more if necessary. Intimidation, harassment and discrimination is a cancer to any organization. However deep it goes, we will remove it from Interior,” Zinke said in a video posted on the agency’s website today. [emphasis mine]
Not that the GOP will get any credit for doing this, but hooray for Secretary Zinke.
Jeez, nobody here has answered the Really Important Question: Was She Hot?
