Drudge is having a scare fest this morning.

The scariest thing, for some people, is Trump grimly displaying his signature on the tax bill.

Kind of a cafe post.

Come to think of it: in the Roy Moore controversy, did anyone ever ask what these young "ladies" were thinking, going on dates with a 34 year old man?

Not a cafe post. But feel free to discuss any of the headlines, the stories that are linked to, and the overarching topic of new media trying to scare you. Also fear of Trump and the tax law. I don't want to dredge up the Roy Moore topic here.

The only people scared of Trumps signature are the rich institutions of the left (Harvard) and the rich politicians in Blue states who overtax their residents.

Why didn't Spacex announce this beforehand? It was apparently visible from here in AZ and I would have liked to have seen it.

I just listened to a self-professed 'globalist' discussing why we should not attribute the stock market rise to the tax bill. Yeah, right. Total coincidence.

Put that way, you can see why Pelosi called it "the worst bill in the history of Congress". It was something Republicans could pass and Trump could sign that helped the average voter, thus making it harder for the Dems to impeach him or say he was too incompetent or unfit to govern.

It gave him an overarching legislative victory which shattered so many narratives from the left. And of course rather the only thing they could direct their anger towards was the bill itself.

I would guess some combination of:

1. They didn't know they'd be successful and didn't want to call attention to failure.

2. They wanted the viral promotion that they're getting from scaring and confusing people.

You're probably right on both counts, Ann! ;-)

Lights in the night skies are increasing as Spacex launches replacement weapons into space to keep up with the re-entry of shoot downs we are seeing every night somewhere. That should scare us until the dawns early light reveals who is the winner from all that rocket's red glares.

I've never seen a signature quite like Mr. Trump's.

3. A conspiracy theorist would argue that SpaceX is merely a means for the government to cover up increasing extraterrestrial activity. SpaceX never reports extraterrestrial activity. And any reports - be they from civilians or government employees - can always be traced back to SpaceX.

Musk's quest to travel to Mars would be less a matter of technology, and more a matter of creating the right relationships with other civilizations such that we could acquire their technology and leapfrog past many technical barriers.

In the meantime, he spends part of his government payments to keep a bunch of rocket scientists busy as a means of providing overall deniability.

Not so much "dredging up Roy Moore" as looking at it the other way around.
What got me asking the question was the article about Tippi Hedren freaking out when she found her 14 year old daughter dating Don Johnson, then 23 years old. I did not bother to read the article, but assume the "freaking out," rather than calling the police, was because it was her daughter who had gone after Johnson rather than the other way around.
According to the picture notes Jonson and the girl got married and had a daughter, then divorced and married others whom they divorced, and then got married again for a good long time by Hollywood standards, before finally divorcing again. Today, they are all good friends, but not a family.
So, how often do such things happen around the world, other than in the backwoods of Alabama?

My brother saw the Space X rocket last night as he was driving home. He said it almost brought traffic to a stop on the 405. Much bigger and brighter than any launch that he had seen from Vandenberg in years.

Children should be seen, and not heard, unless they want birth control, abortions or sex change operations.

That looks like a giant sperm cell.

The launch *was* announced in advance.

But who pays attention?

P.S. I saw it, and it was pretty spectacular
