Mr. Russell, who was arrested on Sunday in Key Largo, confirmed to law enforcement officials that he was member of Atomwaffen, a neo-Nazi group, and that he had manufactured the “white-cake-like substance,” the authorities said. He told the F.B.I. that he had been planning to use the substance to “boost homemade rockets and to send balloons into the atmosphere for testing.” The F.B.I. agent who wrote the affidavit on which the complaint was based, Timothy A. Swanson, expressed skepticism about Mr. Russell’s explanation, given the volatility of the substance.

Devon Arthurs shot 2 of his roommates to death and said they were neo-Nazis and so was he, before he converted to Islam.
He said they were anti-Muslim (which, of course, doesn't justify murder). There's also a 4th roommate, Brandon Russell, and the murder investigation uncovered, we're told, a picture of Timothy McVeigh or his dresser and what are said to be bomb-making ingredients, the NYT reports.

"He shot his two roommates . . . after he converted to Islam."
Local imam, any local imam will do: "Why, yes, Islam's a religion of peace. Why do you ask?"
Nobody was skeptical when Saddam claimed that his mobile germ lab was really to create highly environmentally friendly pesticides.
Adeste infideles.
Timothy McVeigh or his dresser
McVeigh had a guy who dressed him? Or was it a picture of offensive furniture?
Nazis! I hate 'em.
This seems to sum up the media. A Muslim kills two people and the reporting is all about Nazis.
Are we sure this isn't a planted meta joke?
Why is The Southern Poverty Law Center the arbiter of Hate Groups?
Basically "Neo-Nazis or Muslims: Who Is More Violent?: A Case Study."
Of course, it happened in Florida. That was a given.
Bizarre story. There may be some overlap in the neo-Nazi and Muslim student groups as these kids seem to be mostly about anger and hatred of others. The Muslims and Nazis were pretty chummy in WWII.
First, I have to say that I am proud that Florida Nazi's are now worse than Illinois Nazi's.
Secondly, when did it become illegal to manufacture small amounts of explosives for personal use? Because I'm hoping the statute of limitations does not go back far enough to jail my entire Boy Scout troop from the 1970's!

neo-Nazis ... to Islam.
From frying pan to fire.
He said they were anti-Muslim (which, of course, doesn't justify murder).
It does to muslims. Maybe he converted because his new comic book said it was OK to murder people who don't agree with you, and he already wanted to murder those guys.
Atomwaffen?
Clearly, their German was about as good as their knowledge of chemistry & political science....
A fellow can be both. After all, they both hate Jews. https://en.wikipedia.org/.../13th_Waffen_Mountain_Division_of_the_SS_Handschar_...
Competitors. There can be only one.
Murder is still murder. You can't murder "Neo-Nazis" just for the heck of it, no matter how distasteful their views.
It's much more important what they do, than what their political, cultural label is.
Tips for Killers:
1) wipe gun for fingerprints
2) say the victim was a racist or homophobe.
3) call a good attorney
Waffen SS doesn't equal Nazi.
Muslims from Caucasus region - and other Foreign Volunteers - were put in Waffen SS Divisions.
Also, German draftees were also put in Waffen SS.
Two Nazi's dead and a violent Muzzie on his way to death row. I really don't see a problem here.
He said they were anti-Muslim (which, of course, doesn't justify murder).
Only in a holy war can you kill an infidel. I think a holy war has been declared if I'm not mistaken.
In war, God sanctions a killing. The commandment is: thou shalt not murder.
But "murder" is just another name for an unsanctioned killing. Like killing someone in a robbery or burglary. Thus, you are not murdering someone who is at war with you.
I wouldn't vote for an indictment if I was on a grand jury. Plus, he was in his home.
I can't keep up... does this mean we should fear the anti Nazi backlash, or encourage it?
he converted from the Crips to the Bloods
Hitler's views on Islam:
"Had Charles Martel not been victorious at Poitiers [...] then we should in all probability have been converted to Mohammedanism, that cult which glorifies the heroism and which opens up the seventh Heaven to the bold warrior alone. Then the Germanic races would have conquered the world."
"The Mohammedan religion too would have been much more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness?"
The step from fascism to Islam was a short one.
SS members weren't Nazis? Very interesting.
It was certainly possible to be a member of the Waffen SS without being an actual member of the Nazi Party, especially for the enlisted troops. While Waffen SS units committed many war crimes and other atrocities, some members were able to serve as more or less regular soldiers. The guys running the extermination camps, the secret police etc. were Allgemeine SS - they pretty much all deserved a slow death.
