As always, anything can happen and nobody can say what the future may hold. But so far Trump seems to be ignoring all the wailing and gnashing of teeth from a certain quarter and plowing ahead with most of his campaign promises. I personally don't see him doing anything that could get him impeached so far. He's far from a saint but he doesn't seem like the "high crimes and misdemeanours" sort.
The Dems are absolutely, positively certain that the Trumpster will not last four years. My FB feed is full of this particular episode of Fantasy Island.
They expect a massive revolt by the congressional Republicans against Trump, leading to impeachment. You know, a revolt against the same man that whupped the asses of the other Republican candidates & then led the down ticket candidates to a walloping Republican victory in Congress. You know, that guy?
So far I'm not getting into it with them. I can only argue my side. I can't prescribe Thorazine.
"Impeachment isn't going to happen, so what's their real alternative?"
I agree with YoungHegelian. My very smart and accomplished daughter told her mother that Trump will be impeached, like she was telling her the sun will rise tomorrow.
They believe this and I don't know why. My daughter is very interested in other things and lives in Santa Monica so she doesn't encounter a conservative unless she comes home for a visit.

She's probably right. Odds are the Democrats will retake the House of Representatives sometime in the next six years. And they would definitely impeach President Trump if they had even a narrow majority there. But of course there's no chance of sustaining a conviction in the Senate.
He's far from a saint but he doesn't seem like the "high crimes and misdemeanours" sort."
I hear this he'll be impeached stuff on a routine basis too. If I ask why (and suffer the howls of outrage that it isn't OBVIOUS) I often get a regurgitation of acts Trump has already committed - true or not. Or statements attributed to Trump - true or not.
Then there are the real outer space signals.
Did you know Trump has outlawed free speech? Do you know Trump has/will outlaw gay marriage? Did you know Trump is going to ship all Muslims out of America? There are more.
Not a single, so far, actual act that comes close to the definition of high crimes and... except the definition of "he's not one of us".
Find zher and give zher the head writer job at SNL. This simple concise joke is funnier than anything they did (except for the bubble) in the last 2 years!
All experience hath shewn that a period of twilight is recurring, and many people are frightfully nostalgic; but, let us right ourselves by abolishing the forms to which we have grown accustomed and enjoy the dawn. Let us set aside the prophets and Profits, and observe the chaos (i.e. evolution) of another day.
I give him two years before his past catches up with him ...
That's it? Your previous wishes were a bit more immediate: Recount Electoral revolt Russian interference.
As for his past, what the heck happened to the Apprentice tape with Trump caling his kids retards and using (negro) Was supposed to be broadcast last week.
FullMoon -- You must have me mixed up with someone else. I never talked about recounts or electoral revolts. As for Russian interference, I didn't think it was a big deal.
I didn't even vote for Hillary (or Trump). I had to shave that day.
Congratulations! Your "I had to shave that day" line made me LOL even louder than the original quote (about which I am in total agreement with M. Jordan: "Funny. Thumbs up. Thanks to Trump we can joke about our presidents again.")

HaHa. Funny and not funny. Impeachment isn't going to happen, so what's their real alternative?
Funny, yes. Ironic, too. I assume it's a Democrat making this joke, but it would only go to further support the Biden Rule.
Democrats don't carry the gene for irony.
Funny. Thumbs up. Thanks to Trump we can joke about our presidents again.
Okay, let Mike Pence pick the justice.
Come on. It's a pretty funny joke. With all the other "funny" stuff the left is putting out, credit where credit is due.
Funny and may be true.
Whiff of assassination, no?

More delusion by the Dems.
Sure, let Mike Pence pick the justice to replace Ginsburg. I'm sure the left will be totally happy with that!

Trump should increase the SCOTUS to 13 members. Put up five nominees now. All from his list.
But he does seem like the "age related reduced cognition" sort. 25th amendment (section 4) solution anyone?

Ha! Actually the first of his 8 years...
BURN
Allusions.
What EDH and the Unknown Vance wrote.
Maybe he's already done something that will get him impeached, but it's still under investigation. Time will tell.

lefties are simultaneously funny and sad creatures, no?
Remember the never-ending photo-shops showing Bush/Cheney/Rove being frog-marched out of the White House?
The left is completely populated by perpetual adolescents. It's entertaining up to a point.
zipity: "Ha! Actually the first of his 8 years..."
Ha! Actually the first 8 of his 16 years...
Closing their eyes and thinking of England.

Democrat joke:
"Why are we letting Trump pick a SC candidate in his last year in office?"
Republican response:
Ask me in seven years.

I kinda hope republicans and democrats team up to impeach Trump.
If they do this they will needs gibbet, guillotine, and firing squad teams in DC for weeks. I call guillotine!

At least someone understands why Obama's pick wasn't considered.

Russian interference.

Still waiting for someone to make a better joke on this subject.

Could somebody name, specifically, the high crime or misdemeanor that they believe has happened?
I got it with Clinton. He lied under oath, violating the rules of a co-equal branch of government.
I got it with Nixon.
A little help, maybe? Or is presidenting while Republican now a crime?
Last year of his presidency?
He's already filed for reelection with the FEC!
On the other hand, the party of stupid is fully capable impeaching their own guy if anybody is.
Maybe he's already done something that will get him impeached, but it's still under investigation.
Hahahaha. Maybe I'm the queen of Egypt.
>> Maybe I'm the queen of Egypt.
Sorry. Titus beat you to it.
Hit my funny bone. Much appreciated.
I was a very reluctant (conservative libertarian) Trump voter who is relieved because the alternative seems increasingly horrible and dangerous.
That said, it was funny.

WELCOME GREAT PUMPKIN!!!
