I was unaware that the Dixie Chicks were still a thing.
That is not a diss, I'm just not into modern country music. It's all basically pop music with a twang to me. Except for country songs with rapping. That is an abomination.
Bring us together. Fusion. Great stuff when it works.
Still I can't quite picture Beyonce in any real life situation. And "Princess Di's skeleton" (dress) is one of those creepy clown comments that I am sighting more and more often.
I note in passing that the women appearing on the Adult Video Awards show wear less revealing dresses than this. Some people know you get paid for letting your ass be exposed on TV.
There's some joke I half remember about a wigmaker going to see his first staging of some Shakespeare tragedy and afterwards his only impression was admiration for the hair pieces.
If Tom or Lorenzo (or Althouse) knew anything about country music, they'd be aware that black country entertainers are not new, the most famous being Charley Pride back in the 1970s and 1980s.
The Dixie Chicks have been dead to me ever since Natalie ("Brain Dead") Maines dissed the US and our president in front of a foreign audience.

And this was stomping on the dying body that was country music. If Ricky Skaggs ever performs with Jay-Z, we can perform last rites.
There seems to be a law that either Paul McCartney or Beyonce has to take the stage at every big musical gathering.
Perhaps if they appeared together, it would be the blessed end to both of their careers.

@Kirk,
And this was stomping on the dying body that was country music.
It isn't just country that's on life support. There are some great musical traditions on the black side that sadly are barely with us anymore.
Meh.

I can't find it on the internet.

Howard has it right. Beyoncé really should hit the gym before wearing transparent outfits...
dbp: In her cultural milieu, Bey-once is considered under-nurished
Two bad looks on that stage (Bey and Maines). Good tune, though.
