Last night's rats.

Drawn by finger in texts to Meade last night, without thinking.

I'm remembering them now as I read about rats in the NYT: "How the Brown Rat Conquered New York City (and Every Other One, Too)." I take the trouble to try to draw the rat in one of this pictures...

Ack! Too much detail.

Not enough room in the window for my favorite parts, the steppin'-out paws....

Too much detail to take account of. I need to look away, forget about it, and try again later going on whatever impression is left on my brain... the tiny paw-tracks of memory.

Makes me think of Wordsworth: "Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility." Recollected. That's key.

That last one looks like a mini-behemoth.

Which reminds me Rats flee sinking ships...or is it Rats running back on ships when they don't sink. Trump haters have been doing both lately.

Rats!

Achilles म्हणाले...

They all look like the rats jumping off the Clinton Titanic this morning.

If you missed it there is a preference cascade starting to roll. Even Comey is jumping off the ship and reopening the investigation.

Yes, many are suddenly hedging their Clinton, Inc. bets.

The MSM stars are suddenly talking nice to Trump's spokes people. It is disorienting.

Do we get to vote again?

October surprise indeed

The cascade is in full swing now. I didn't think they would be this brazen.

A cynical, decadent and plague-bearing lot of rats I think.

New FBI email investigation? WTF?

Hagar म्हणाले...

I don't know what to make of this "re-opening the investigation."
New documents in the mail from anonymous sources? A forgotten stack discovered on a table in the executive lunchroom?
Has Obama decided to dump Hillary! after all? Or, is it to give it another coat of camouflage paint and hope to stave off the uproar for another two weeks?

Hagar म्हणाले...

Comey is just following orders. The FBI's paychecks are printed by Obama's Treasury Dept.

Cynicism and paranoia and speculation -

An attempt to lock things up "under investigation" and delay release of upcoming Judicial Watch items from FOIA.

The coughing rat is named "Hillary," right?

The last one is my fav. I like my rats fat and juicy.

Crooked Hillary! Maybe one of the rats is trying to rehabilitate his reparation or maybe he's trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube.

"Trump's pro-India ad is so weird." Said the lady who draws rat stick figures.

The second one, though must be named Cassius, as in, 'Yon Cassius has a lean and hungry look. Such rats are dangerous'.

As a kid, would see rats surrounding neighbors dog food bowl. Maybe eight or ten at a time. Very well fed and fat.

I trapped two in our house in Seattle. Big fat ones. Very satisfying.

We've seen these line drawing rats before. You need to do gestural drawings to eliminate the static ping.

You lost me at the rat drawing.

We were surprised by a rat infestation this past summer in our home. They gnawed through aluminum grating over roof vents to enter the attic, to get to the water dripping from the air handler. It was a dry summer, and they had no other nearby sources.

They were eradicated and are now kept away with repair of the grates with steel mesh, trapping, and continuous use of poison bates for the past six months.

I note in passing that our last housecat died in May, a month before the rats invaded. Makes me wonder if they were kept at bay by just the smell of that old senile jellicle cat.
