I exclaim, reading this.
MEADE: "It was only a matter of time."
ME: "But they were parading like they were these..."
MEADE (interrupting): "Don't parade."
ADDED: Absurd sentence from the linked article: "Ange, 41, has been focusing on her humanitarian work while Brad, 52, focuses on launching a resort in Croatia."
AND: "There have been a constant string of arguments about their future and their children. They ended up completely disagreeing over how to raise the kids." What were the different ways that were so much more of a conflict than the way that is without 2 married parents?

Well, it's Hollywood. They had a longer marriage than most, I think.
Still a terrible thing. Wonder if Brad or Angie had a wandering eye. It's not like they wouldn't have tons of volunteers to, er, "play" with.
Hey, is it true that Angelina is a closet conservative? Of course, she has to keep it hush hush because the tolerant left blacklists people who don't think like them in every single area.

Wish them both and their family well. 6 kids means they will have to work together for the rest of their lives
Pitt has developed a "Trumpian" taste for women on his trips to Croatia.
I didn't realize their ages were that far apart.
My wife was Team Aniston, I was Team Jolie. She thinks she won.
Don't date actual actresses.
As my wife said, odds are, she expects to get custody with him getting visitation so she will get her way.
If your were unfortunate enough to have endured the two of them in 2015's "By The Sea" -- a film about a marriage on the rocks -- which Peter Sobczynski aptly described while writing for rogerebert.com as a "borderline unendurable exercise in vapid self-indulgence" you would not be so surprised by this development.
Life imitates Art. Or do I have that backwards?
It's an indirect proof that looks don't matter, something in common with the real world, if anybody doubted it.
They have three bio kids, and the two younger -- twins -- really like the older one.
Sad.
I'm always surprised to read that someone like Hugh Grant doesn't have a stable romantic history. You'd think the clever personal dialogue would go with having figured life and obligations out.
It's hard to be witty if you don't actually know stuff.
Not terribly surprising. In Hollywood the surprise is when the marriage lasts. This one was actually semi-surprising that it lasted this long. I wonder if they ever had anything in common to begin with, outside of acting which is one of the absolute worst things to have in common. Pretending to be other people leaves nothing to latch onto. Shared drug addiction is a stronger foundation.
The news - perhaps gossip - is Brad was having an affair with a co-star while also entertaining Russian hookers. She also disapproved of Brad's pot smoking. On the plus side, a potential sequel to Mr. and Mrs. Smith would be much more lively.
Angelina Jolie has a fairly well established history of nutiness. Brad Pitt has a fairly well established history of infidelity. I think we all knew where this was going.
What did Jolie expect? Didn't she snag Pitt by getting him to cheat on Jennifer Aniston?
Angelina Jolie is in my list of generic actresses. I couldn't tell her from her picture.
The ones I recognize are Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Aniston, Meg Ryan, Julia Roberts, and maybe one other I can't think of at the moment.
Oh and what's her name, not as a favorite but as recognizeable. Meryl Streep.
Brad Pitt on the other hand is also generic.
Hugh Grant and Tom Hanks are the recognizeable ones, except for some action guys who always play themselves.
What were the different ways that were so much more of a conflict than the way that is without 2 married parents?
Was attachment parenting going on? Attachment parenting would explain everything.
One word....snatch
Not a fan of "Friends" during its run but I saw it enough to prefer Monica to Rachel (who seemed a smidge too perfect. But now I'm sure Jennifer Aniston will age as handsomely as any star ever has. I'm thinking Katherine Hepburn and Lauren Bacall and yeah, Jane Fonda. I wish her bon vie. Tangentially, at age 63 I have yet to see a woman made more attractive by a tattoo. Will Ms. Jolie age so well?
OOh, ooh, I just remembered Raquel Welch!
Six kids under 16. Got to be stressful even if you're rich.
I recently saw a documentary about Ingrid Bergman. She had an adventurous marital history and routinely abandoned her kids. They interviewed her now adult kids in the documentary. They expressed some bitterness towards her but also a great deal of love for her. They said that she was just so much fun to be around (when she was around) that it was impossible to hate her. The kids all had successful lives and careers so whatever abandonment issues they had were kept to a minimum......The moral here is that if your mother is rich and beautiful, and you yourself are good looking and wealthy, and if you have a stable, nurturing relationship with your nanny, the trauma of divorce can be overcome. I think the Jollypit kids will be all right.
