"Military Times survey: Troops back Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders for president."

"The Republican front runner Trump was the most popular candidate in a subscriber poll that closed Sunday, with 27 percent saying they would back the business mogul if the election were held tomorrow. Sanders, the independent Vermont senator, was a close second at 22 percent."

Two surprises in the poll - Sanders and Clinton both finished higher than "Other".

LOL,

my favorite part of that poll was that the ground troops went GOP and the Navy and the USAF tended Democrat.

The guys on the sharp end haven't liked Dems much since '68

For us old guys, Nazis are not an abstraction, like a Roman Legion or what have you. My father fought them, told a story of flying over the battle of el Alamein a few days after the battle at 5,000 feet and still smelling the stench of death, and my mother, nearly ninety, still has nightmares about when the Nazis took her city.

That's why when you see a guy who embraces fascist economics, the way Sanders does, and fascist political methods, the way Sanders does, it's deeply disturbing. Unfortunately we have completely mal-educated our children. We are so fucked.

Interesting. I wonder how sex distribution was?

Sanders appeals to those who are too young to remember the 1960s and recognize him as a student rebel and "sit-in" artist who never grew up.

Worse, most of "us" still today don't realize just HOW fucked we really are. If culture is "UPSTREAM FROM POLITICS" consider that the left almost totally dominates our civic culture--academia, the entertainment industry, news-media, and governmental civil service positions (think EPA, etc) NONE of the lefty dominance in these spheres is going away within the span of a single election or of even several. It would take a 40-yr ideological AND electoral slog to clean the Augean Stables from every local school board to regional planning commissions to State governments on up to all the ABC agencies at the federal level and I just don't see that happening. Lefty cultural dominance is like air pollution (the old fashioned kind, not "climate change") It affects everything, costs billions to eliminate, and millions of man-hours of planning, but it all gets up there for free so to speak as a natural by-product (e.g., the entertainment industry.)

Think about it...

Anybody who doubts my comment on fascism is free to point out any quote from Mussolini that Sanders would disagree with. No fair using the fake quote at the top of this article, which goes on to explain that it is fake:

Mussolini on the Corporate State

You might also note the heading of the web page:

Researching the right for progressive changemakers

These guys think these quotes prove the opposite of what they do, which is just proof of how deep a draught of the Kool Aide they have imbibed.

Jaq म्हणाले...

Quote on economics, that is. I am sure that Bernie doesn't take the same view as Hillary and Mussolini regarding the advisability of military adventures in Libya.

Military members know that they will go to prison for a fraction of the violations of handling classified information done by Mrs. Clinton.

The military is also a huge welfare state with a huge dependent class who thinks the military is there to give them stuff rather than defend our nation.

We talk about being the left that doesn't understand who Mussolini was. How does that explain the republican deep thinkers of NRO, etc. who are calling trump Mussolini.

Bay Area Guy म्हणाले...

Mussolini was a mere piker, much more closer to FDR policy wise than to Stalin and Hitler.

The left has infiltrated our military with all of its dubious social engineering. It's good to see the troops supporting Trump.

I really don't want to see Hillary as Commander in Chief - and neither to do them.

Don't know, not sure I care. Can you cite an example?

The non commissioned officers who fight and see their men die are not into Obama political betrayals. Why would they want to give away the same USA they risked their lives to defend.

अनामित म्हणाले...

It's good to see so many supporting Sanders.

अनामित म्हणाले...

Roughly 54-33&, republican-democrat, which was probably 78-20% 30 years ago. Higher% of women in the service currently ?

अनामित म्हणाले...

More like 60-34% rep-dem. Better point.

Great comment.

It is so disheartening seeing kids sucked into the liberal maw and them not realizing how destructive it is.

Most of the military guys on my Facebook feed back Trump and Sanders. If it's head to head, I don't know who they will choose. But if one gets the nod, it's pretty clear they'll vote for that person.

Jason म्हणाले...

The military had a lot of Ron Paul supporters in 2008 as well.

Mark म्हणाले...

Isn't that percentage of support below his general population number?
