It was the heaviest rain of the year, a crazy desert downpour. We were downtown on Fremont Street — the "Fremont Street Experience" — a great vantage point on the rain.
The "naked" man in picture #1 was later observed directing traffic at the intersection by The Golden Nugget where the storm had knocked out the stoplight.

God is going to have to do much better than that if He expects to clean out that cesspool.
Viva Los Vegas. It's the outdoor wet T-shirt contest.
That's the the one Ann Margaret scene that was cut from the greatest film in the Elvis Presley Body of Work...and they say he worked her body over well,

Well, at least he wasn't wearing shorts!
"Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin."
He was wearing a unitard thong.
My sister and I discussed the compressive effect on his genitalia. Perhaps the authorities control crotch stuffing for the street performers in this tourist-friendly (tourist-hungry) location.

I have never had a similar conversation with my sister.
After the rain the sun comes out and all the hookers too.
Happiest place on earth.
Perfect! I'm leaving on a motorcycle tour tomorrow, should skirt Vegas on Sunday. This makes for nice motorcycling conditions.
Y'all say your Hail Mary's tomorrow, and pray for forgiveness. *And I'm Jewish*. Annie's our living day Mary, she's exempt.
"Unitard" sounds like a mental handicap.
Back in the day, Binion's had a display of $1 million dollars in 100 $10,000 bills. They eventually took it down because the numismatic value of the currency substantially exceeded the face value. (Right now one of that denomination in poor condition will get you at least three times face.)
Your "naked" man will always have his panache!
That is quite a heavy rain for August in Mevada. We were there once when
A 1 inch rain fell
And the local news had on
Scene live reports with picture proof showing a half inch
Puddle on the street under her feet. It very
was big news seldom seen by locals.
I love monsoon season in the desert.
Annie in downtown Vegas is perfect asymmetry. It is the antithesis of downtown Madison. Looks like it took a sibling to get her out of her very tight comfort zone. I can tell you she smells like cigar a cig smoke. LOL.
Gonna go swim with the sharks, or do you already get enough of that here?
Yep, it's as ugly up close as I imagined from way back here.

I was going to cheekily ask how he was pointing cars in the right direction, but you later noted that he was clad in a unitard.
We had a lightning strike close to our offices south of the airport. The power went out for about ten seconds and then came back on. Unfortunately, it messed up one of our routers for the rest of the day.
I guess I worked in downtown las Vegas too long. I didn't notice the naked man.
Professor, that isn't even the worst. As I walked from downtown las Vegas to north las Vegas on Monday to pick up my car I encountered no less than 3 dozen homeless.
However, as for Fremont street, they are planning on addressing the panhandlers. You should be there after dark. That is when the weirdos come out.
jake, Drive that stretch north of downtown @ sunrise. You will see hundreds, maybe 500 homeless, sleeping.
Your photos look like shit. Have you ever tried using the "focus" function?
