The upside to all this beheading is maybe we finally have an answer to the age old question of whether the head knows for an instant that it's missing a body.
The terror as Cruelty Art was much further along in the old Empire days.
Cruxifiction was a good one along with impalement, and also roasting the victims pulled out guts as he watched. But the old Roman days are not back, yet.
The all time winner is the Byzantine Emperor who captured 10,000 Bulgarians soldiers that attacked Byzantium and had all of their eyes plucked out except for a couple of men that kept one eye to lead the blind Bulgarians back home to their families.
On Monday, 10 September 1792, a correspondent of the Times reported to his readers in London regarding events in revolutionary France, “The streets of Paris, strewn with the carcasses of the mangled victims, have become so familiar to the sight that they are passed by and trod on without any particular notice. The mob think no more of killing a fellow man – one who is not even an object of suspicion – than wanton boys would of killing a cat or a dog.”
If history is any guide the nonchalance of these boys to the daily display of their Muslim mentors porcine depravity is hardly an occasion for optimism. Their evident indifference only means the corruption of their spirits is nearly complete and may be irretrievable. One would be wise to note that by 1792 the violence inspired by the French Revolution had twenty-six much more bloody years yet to run.
Optimism is totally unwarranted. Instead we should steel ourselves with grim determination to make sure these barbarians are exterminated to the last jihad-preaching imam. We can but hope it won't take a lifetime to do the work.
I didn't know Satan limited Himself to anything as superficial as race. Although I readily concede that He uses racism as one of his many goads and lures.
"I can't wait that long." The good news is, Rahim didn't wait, he charged a target that was harder than he expected, and he's now just food for worms and the media (but I repeat myself).
The bad news is, Darwinian selection always operates. Rahim's successors will be more deliberate.
When beheading gets boring... ... is that cause for despair... or hope?
It's just common sense. If you've seen one beheading, you've seen 'em all. Drawing and quartering, on the other hand, leaves room for creativity and flair. One more example of the superiority of Christianity over Moslemism.
Evil wears many faces and names, but always it becomes transparent. In these past decades of relative peace, we find the partisans defining evil in terms of position and title.
In it always fruitful to see evil manifested as a discarding of accepted culture and a full embrace of death, disfigurement, and abolished liberty.
Not only does it help clearly define "The Enemy", but it also exposes elected and deigned leaders for who they are at the core.
Obama boldly declared Assad had crossed a red line, got on national TV and stated his (weak) case, and requested congressional approval to take significant military invention in syria, than backed away and never took action. Now he runs sorties into Syria under the guise of fighting ISIS, and refuses to address the problem head on.
On ISIS, he upfront stated boots on the ground was not an option and that he'd rather support others willing to fight - despite their inability to do so effectively. He's willing to bomb from afar, but not engage the enemy directly.
Meanwhile, the King of Jordan suits up when a single one of his pilots is murdered through fire.
I'm not saying the U.S. President should be like the King of Jordan. I'm saying there are few times in life when a leader gets to take on evil so directly as the target ISIS presents us with and it's illuminating to see that when Obama is truly tested, he'd rather not use the tools at his disposal to address such enemies directly.
OK it's a reduction ad Hitlerum, but it's hard not to think of research on members of the Einsatzgruppen, the "special action" squads who were ordered to murder Jews as the Wehrmacht marched through Eastern Europe, the Baltics, and Ukraine.
Apparently many ordinary German soldiers had tremendous difficulty participating in the murders ... the first time. But it became easier when repeated, and for some eventually became routine.
I suppose we'll shortly see videos of nine-year-old Islamic State executioners (although perhaps not beheaders, as they probably lack the strength).
When I was a kid and in Sunday School, I always had a hard time understanding how people could parade around with the two dead prophets in Jerusalem as it says in Revelation. I no longer wonder and haven't for some time.
Oh, I think those kids are quite impressed. They are all looking intently at the same thing. Kids take in information, process it and use the information to understand how to deal with the world. The kids are concentrating. They know this is something important. Their long term reactions may be quite different. Their current reactions are the same.
The MSM would categorize the event depicted in that photo that as an isolated workplace dispute and in no way indicative of broader events other than to suggest the US needs stricter gun controls and more comprehensive hate speech legislation.
As the clear warning signaler sounds out, the savages are afoot savaging one another for now to see who gets to savage the Jews and the Christians off the Planet next. They are Obama's bff's , and he has single handedly maintained a cover for them getting their nuclear strike force missile system in place without Israel blowing it up.
What a friend the savages have in B.Hussein Obama.
I saw a basis for hope in the kids' boredom. This head-cutting is supposed to be thrilling, jazzing you up to fight for the cause, or filling you with dread about what will happen to you if you don't join.
"....basis for hope..." More likely they are so desensitized to the brutality they don't feel anything at all. Next up, it will be their turn to use the knife on infidels. And they still won't care.

Don't read too much into this. you have no idea what that culture has already put in those budding jihadists heads before this barbarity took place. For all you know they were all judging his technique.

Underscores why it's important to know who supported whom in the whole Libya/Benghazi incident.
At some point "Not Impressed" becomes "What? Me Worry?"
Severed heads are old hat.
The banality of evil re-surfaces.

The kids acclimatize to depravity. That is why child soldiers end up as psychopaths.
Get them young and shape their twisted little minds.
Satan is laughing his skinny ass off.
The severed head asked, "Are you not entertained?!"
Obama has restored America's standing as the most respected country in the world. Polling results based on an OFA/Politifact poll.

Wonder how Obama will respond when ISIS gets around to taking Americans hostage and beheading them....
Despair. Definitely despair.

I have to wonder of his response will depend on if the victims are "his" Americans or those "other" Americans.
Then again, it may all be moot cause you know, you have to break a few eggs to make an omelet...

If they voluntarily walked over to isis? Trade 5 senior taliban.
Christian aid worker? Well we don't negotiate with terrorists.
It's depressing, because it makes them turn towards more spectacular methods.
The poor pilot who got burned alive was a victim of beheading-boredom syndrome.
I shudder to think of what they'll think of next, but one suspects that the escalation of throwings-off-buildings has something to do with this image.
I have to wonder of his response will depend on if the victims are "his" Americans or those "other" Americans
I suppose police officers and conservative media personalities are not in the "his" Americans category.
Usaamah Rahim, who was fatally shot after waving a military knife at law enforcement officers in Boston, was originally plotting to behead Pamela Geller, an activist and conservative blogger, law enforcement sources told CNN on Wednesday.
But Rahim, a 26-year-old security guard who officials believe was radicalized by ISIS and other extremists, decided instead to target the "boys in blue," a reference to police, according to court documents.
"I can't wait that long," he said of the original beheading plan, according to an FBI affidavit filed in federal court in Boston.
"I can't wait that long." The good news is, Rahim didn't wait, he charged a target that was harder than he expected, and he's now just food for worms and the media (but I repeat myself).

We have nothing to fear from these people. They pose no threat to the United States. At all. Ever.

Must be kids from the Gaia Democratic School. Once you've seen a 30.48-cm Steely Dan, a beheading is banal.

I don't blame them for being less than impressed. It's not like it was Kobe Bryant doing the beheading.

Christians are drawing and quartering people!?! I better check the Drudgereport!

Hope and change turned out to mean: hope for Muslim terrorists, change into despair for the US.
Despair. If they turn these children into sadistic soldiers for their cause, we may be forced to kill them someday.
As for the beheader, he would be better off at the bottom of the sea with a millstone around his neck.

Perhaps even hope and change!
Things people think when the utter reality of what is staring them in the face is simply too much to deal with.
Yet I see a basis for hope for Althouse!
