That's a nice clip. I saw A Chorus Line on Broadway in 2007 and it blew me away. I just found out I am going to NYC in July and so I will get to see Hamilton. I'm not remotely a Broadway follower but Hamilton seems to be generating the same buzz as Spring Awakening did back in 2007. I haven't noticed this kind of excitement since then.
Songs about show business are always a hit with show business folks. Is it only the creative/performing areas of human endeavor that have similar self-referencing feedback loops? Writers who write about writing. Artists whose art is about Art. etc- these follow the rule. But away from these antennae of our collective human creature the rule breaks down.
So it does not apply to say: Soldiers who soldier about soldiering. Farmers who farm about farming. Lawyers who lawyer about lawyering.
The point I was trying to make (and failing) was that often Bloggers blog about blogging. This tells me that the blog is more of an artistic creative activity. But on the other hand I may just be high.
Pretty sure we saw this with the original cast in NYC and it was ... exciting. Remarkably. It got the kind of standing ovation where everyone just leaps up at the end and won't stop clapping.

And Kelly Bishop went on to play Lorelai Gilmore, the elder, in Gilmore Girls on TV...

I mean - Gimme the Ball !
I saw Chorus Line on Broadway -- 5/6/78 -- at a matinee. That and The Wiz are the only two shows I've seen on Broadway.
When I see old dancers, like in the video, I'm always wondering: Who has had hip/knee surgery?
It's sort of like when rock musicians write songs about being a rock musician.
Nice tribute to a great show. Too bad the singing wasn't quite up to the music.
