"A former top staffer to U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin has rejected a proposed severance deal that would have required her to remain silent regarding what she knew..."

"... about the problems at the troubled Tomah VA Medical Center. Now Marquette Baylor, ex-deputy state director for Baldwin and chief of her Milwaukee office, has hired a team of attorneys to explore litigation for wrongful termination or sexual discrimination. A source said Baylor believes she was one of the highest ranking heterosexuals on Baldwin's staff. Baldwin is the first openly gay member of the U.S. Senate."

Writes Daniel Bice.

ADDED: Based on my Google search just now, this story is the first time the internet has heard the phrase "highest ranking heterosexuals."

Sexual discrimination is so totally evil that the charge must be taken as true.

But why would Tammy bother to suppress a VA inspector's report about drug dealing Rx painkillers?

What is the meaning behind the statement that Baldwin was the highest ranking hetrosexual on the Senator's staff?

Did they have badges or rank insignia on their sleeves or something? Why is this supposed to be relevent?

Interesting. When I was a surgery resident we had a lesbian chief nurse in the OR. The duty assignments for nurses were well known to be based on favors.

Sorry that BAYLOR was the high ranking straight person on BALWIN'S staff. My mistake.

There are allegations of sexual harassment in that office, so it might well be relevant.

Perhaps this is another example of the adage to "follow the money." Were all of those pills actually given to the patients, or were some of them sold illegally? People pay good money to get their hands on those pain killers.

These are veterans and they are being screwed over royally.

And Congress isn't going to a damned thing for them.

This is legitimately infuriating.

...and they expect that government run health care would be a FUCKING IMPROVEMENT over our current situation?

That's the biggest disconnect to reality those advocating government ran (single payer) health care have. They seem intellectually incapable of looking at the existing examples of US government ran health care and seeing the problems that exist in ever single case. Look at the VA health care system. Look at health care within the active duty military. Look at the health care on Indian reservations. Are those strong, efficient, effective, and well run programs? Hell no, they aren't. So, if government can run those much smaller programs, who in their right mind can possibly believe government can do a good job of running all health care in the US?

Just as fabulously acrimonious gay divorces are going to be the schadenfreude reward for insufferable gay weddings, these heterosexual discrimination suits against gay folks are also going to be highly entertaining.

Get the popcorn ready!

A close friend worked at a major East Coast University in the Student Recreational Office guiding rafting and surfing trips, over seeing Intra-murals, etc. A lesbian was hired/promoted to Director of the Department and within in a year it was staffed almost exclusively with lesbian and the work atmosphere became decidedly unfriendly to my friend a heterosexual male. He went from a valued and highly rated employee to being called in and told he was facing a bad evaluation within the space of a year and a half. Seeing the writing on the wall he left and a lesbian was then hired to take his place.

I think we should ignore the sexual discrimination piece of this article. It is sometimes thrown in as part of a suit. Focus.

What is the backstory on the the VA. Something is being hidden. What is it?

The liberals hate veterans but love the rest of us, it it will be OK, right?

There is absolutely no lesbian mafia in the Army personnel office working to place known lesbians in the same units so they can work and play together.

And those lesbians placed in those units have never operated a lesbian BDSM "club" on, say, Dawaniyah, nor have enlisted lesbians ever been detailed for weeks at a time to provide sexual favors for a lesbian sergeant major at that base.

No sirree, Bob.

A good friend of mine is a charge nurse in an operating room. Thy have a bunch of lesbian nurses who talk constantly about their sex lives. The oner nurses hate it but everyone is afraid to say anything. The lesbians know this and get more outrageous very year. Nobody cares what hey do outside of work. They are taunting the hetero nurses.

Then they should complain to superiors and then, eventually, file hostile work environment suits.

Again, nothing changes until these things get done.

I am ex Navy and have been hearing horror stories about the VA hospitals since at least the 60's.

I never even bothered to register with them until my son did a rotation in the San Juan VA Hospital and convinced me to.

I have been to the outpatient clinic half a dozen times and have always been treated promptly at my scheduled time, lots of time with the doctor, xrays, blood work, hearing tests cardiology tests and more. Prescriptions come by mail.

My only objections are that is was hard to get an appointment for routine stuff and the parking is horrible.

A year or two ago they opened an outpatient clinic in Ceiba PR and I finally got around to visiting them in January to see about an appt. I got one for a 2 weeks later, they took the lab samples there, I came back and saw the doctor there, spent 20-30 minutes with him. (He was so friendly he stuck his finger up my ass)

Two brothers in law have been hospitalized in the SJ hospital. Both treated very well.

I don't know whether PR is fluke or what. I would put the treatment that I have had and the treatment that I know of personally, as on a par with any excellent hospital I have heard of.

Doesn't mean there may not be horrible problems in others. Just want to give credit where credit is due.

If you knew how afraid senior and experienced nurses are about their jobs, you wouldn't think that. It's a bit like master teachers. They know they can be replaced by two new grads who know nothing but work cheap.

A close friend of my wife (also a nurse) has been a supervisor for 20 years and has 30 years experience. My wife stopped by to see her at work one day and she could not talk. They are afraid. The lesbians know this and know the hospital administrators are not about to risk a suit from a protected class.

Because it would make Obama look bad. One more mess in the VA scandal. And this wasn't an inspectors report. It came to her office from a whistleblower I believe.

So, they say that IT is sexist because women aren't adequately represented in the field.
So, are heteros adequately represented in this persons cabinet? Since heteros make up the majority of the population I'd think her staff would need to represent society,s makeup.
So if there are more than 10% of gays in her staff there's a Problem.
Are gays now discriminating against heteros in govt positions? Say it ain't so!

jr565 म्हणाले...

Then again how are we determining sexual discrimination when guys chop off their penises and are suddenly women. Are they now being sexually discriminated against as women, or as men? Or as some third identity? You could make a case for all three.
Sexual discrimination requires hard and fast definitions on sex. If we can't evend determine who men and women are then it's harder to say one is discriminated against because of it.

richard mcenroe म्हणाले...

Why are you surprised by "highest ranking heterosexuals"? How far out of their way do you think gays go to be inclusive. They are an obliged class these days, not an obliging one.
