Hans and Franz pump up Aaron Rodgers.

Just in time for tonight's big game:

After this morning's discussion of the gendered violence of Debbie Wasserman Schulz's statement that Scott Walker grabbing women's hair and pulling, I was taken slightly aback by the "Doesn't this hurt?" bit that begins at 0:35. But the answer is: "Not with those puny arms."

UPDATE: Ow.

We'll see how funny he is in a few hours.

Aaron has lost a little weight though. He looks good. Hangin' out with movie stars.

Quaestor म्हणाले...

Actually it was Not mit doz pew-eh ahrmz

great Unknown म्हणाले...

Why did the "Doesn't this hurt" take you aback? He was showing concern. Or is that also sexist?

Quaestor म्हणाले...

Hans und Franz. As long as Nealon and Carvey were with SNL that pair could be counted on to liven up a flatfooted script in three minutes. Just one joke really, but it had mileage.

Quaestor म्हणाले...

You'll tank us later.

Tanks a lot.

Too bad the director didn't think to CGI in a taut rope. The sag spoils the gag.

Birkel म्हणाले...

Go Packers!

Quaestor म्हणाले...

I wouldn't bother reading anything political into Aaron Rodgers yanking on Brunhilde's braids. Not many people will mistake DWS for a valkyrie.

On the other hand valkyrie is from Old Norse valkyrja, meaning "chooser of the slain". Given Obama's 38% approval rate any Democrat standing for office who elects to be chosen by Debbie as a beneficiary of her shrill off-key maniacal rants is likely to be slain this November.

Seattle is in for a mighty rude awakening. Contrary to what the talking heads on ESPN and NBC are babbling on about. Lots of sad 12th men after this one.

rcocean म्हणाले...

I'm sorry I can't concentrate on the game. There's a racist Football team in the NFL and its keeping me awake at nights.

Thank God, the WaPo and ESPN have spoken truth to power about the Washington hmmhmms.

That's all I can say.

Bob R म्हणाले...

The bigger question is how many of those protein bars the Packer O-line have eater. If Rodgers has time, he may be the best QB in the league. If he is running for his life on every play - not so much.

Even bigger question is how many defensive penalties the zebras will call. If its as many as the preseason the Seahawks won't make the playoffs.

Here comes the sledgehammer.

chillblaine म्हणाले...

Actual football is actually being played.

I look forward to Bob Costas' halftime lecture on why the Redskins should change their name.

Titus म्हणाले...

I want Seattle to win. I prefer deep blue states with fab cities in sports.

sorry.

tits.

And Green Bay, the city is a hellhole.

thanks,

Titus म्हणाले...

Have you been to Naples 15 Meade and Althouse?

It sounds fab and so not Madison and very east coast

But can they really say fresh seafood?

I am going there when I come home this month for my parents 60th wedding anniversary!

Tits.

"Actual football is actually being played."

Mr. Baseball.

Patrick म्हणाले...

Packers' D is as good as last year, that is to say, not very. They should've replaced Dom Capers. Whatever he is doing has not worked. Disappointing.

(Quaestor checks watch) Is the sledgehammer running behind schedule?

Quaestor म्हणाले...

A safety!? Let's not talk about the Packer's defense. Priorities, gentlemen, priorities.

Quaestor म्हणाले...

They need to sit on David Bakhtiari's chest and give him a buzz cut. One needs to play better than that to wear one's hair that long.

Original Mike म्हणाले...

"(Quaestor checks watch) Is the sledgehammer running behind schedule?"

That's garage; Always blowing his mouth off.

Birkel म्हणाले...

Wait!
"garage mahal" was wrong?
Well I never!

madAsHell म्हणाले...

....but the Seahawks pumped out a win!!

the wolf म्हणाले...

If "rude awakening" means "convincing victory," garage was spot-on

mccullough म्हणाले...

Seattle is a terrific team. Balanced, attacking offense and a dominant defense.

Rodgers now knows what it was like for Favre all those years being surrounded by mediocre players and coaches.

Alex म्हणाले...

garage how was that for a 'rude awakening' LOL

अनामित म्हणाले...

I hope the chargers put up a better show next week.

Kirk Parker म्हणाले...

Wow it must suck to be garage...

I think we can all agree if someone makes a prediction and the predictions doesn't come true, that person should never be listened to, or even heard from, again.

LOL Lots of sad green and gold....well after they come out of their alcohol comas. And read the paper. Correction, have it read to them.

Here comes the sledgehammer.

Well, you got this one right. Packers were the nail.

The Cracker Emcee Refulgent म्हणाले...

Titus, old boy,
King County may be deep blue but the rest of Washington is barely even a lighter shade of violet. And Boston is far more fab than the dingy Emerald City. Rest easy, garage. I'll quote you liberally this morning, to provoke much hearty 12th Man laughter.

Kirk Parker म्हणाले...

NotquiteunBuckley,

No, don't be silly. One or even a few wrong predictions shouldn't cause that response.

But when a long train of failed, doctrinaire predictions is noticed, then yes that does mean something.

mccullough म्हणाले...

The Packers played as well as could be expected. They are an average team playing a road game against a very good team. No one should be surprised at the outcome.

The Packers have Rodgers and Seattle has a dozen very good players.

khesanh0802 म्हणाले...

Poor Garage. A loyal, but not intelligent fan. How long has it been since Seattle lost on their home field?

Anthony म्हणाले...

Actually most of the I5 corridor in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties are pretty blue. Eastern WA is deep red but low population means we're stuck with corrupt idiots like Cantwell and Murray.

Let's not forget however that both Wilson and Bevell are Badgers.

Known Unknown म्हणाले...

More out-coached than outplayed, to be honest.

The 4th and 1 down on the Packers 15 was a pass all the way, and no one on that D had a clue.

Mike McCarthy is probably too dumb to be a modern NFL head coach.
