"Beyond the sweeping majesty of the snorfle snorfle snarf."

Nice Metafilter title for this video (which begins in timelapse):

...because nothing makes a marmot more pissed off than losing a day's sleep or two from winter hibernation.

It takes 'em until mid-May for the grumpiness to wear off.

Nice marmot...

That looks like the Isle of Skye. If there's one place in Europe that could benefit from a little warming, it's Skye. Even in August that place is f-ing cold.

This might be the Gunsight Pass trail in Glacier National Park.

POV of being kissed by a Frenchman with a beard.

Next time Meade might consider putting dog treats on his camera and he too could get some snorfle snorfle snarf along with drool dribble drip.

This may be the case, but the skyline looks different. Gunsight Mountain is visible in most vistas of Gunsight Pass. Not evident here. However, after the camera is "realigned" by the marmot one can see what may be glaciation on the far right of the frame.

Skye is one of the last refuges of golden eagles in Western Europe. Marmots are more than eighty percent of their diet.

Hah!

Quaestor म्हणाले...

It's a Greenpeace USA vid, so it's got to be Glacier National Park. They infest the trails and overlooks like picnic ants, spoiling visitors' enjoyment with ROV blimps and unofficial "park guides" who delight in pummeling the unwary with unsolicited warmist harangues.

We're all familiar with YouTube and how the viewer displays thumbnails of suggested videos with related content at the conclusion of a video.

YouTube suggested this. Given the origin of the marmot vid, Greenpeace, it may be appropriate.

There are lots of marmots in Glacier. Pesty.

Quaestor म्हणाले...

Is that pesty, or pesky? As in "pesky iggit rabbit," Yosemite Sam's iconic line.

Lyle म्हणाले...

Climate change? Love the marmots, but nature is nature.

David म्हणाले...

Cute. But I did not click to protect his home from climate change. Bad me.

Irene म्हणाले...

Is that pesty, or pesky?

Both!

Yum, people salt!

kentuckyliz म्हणाले...

One way to save this habitat from climate change is not taking an airplane and/or driving a car to this location to make a video for a warmist harangue.

Stay home and reduce your carbon footprint, jerk.

I noticed that there are two recent posts for which my typical icon is thematically related. I have my two marmots icon active now, and have previously used my sexy hijab icon.

Everyone knows that this is a ground hog, right? They are expanding their range from the southern mountains to the piedmont, contrary to climate change predictions.

What would it take to stop Earth's climate from changing? Killing everyone in China to stop them from using fuel would be necessary -- but far from sufficient. Eradicating humans entirely (tough) wouldn't be sufficient either.

But clicking on the link and giving money to a self-centered entitled asshole? That'll do it.
