I wonder why all the news organizations use the acronym ISIS for the "Sunni Islamist rebels" rather than their othr moniker: ISIL for "Islam in Syria and the Levant." Could it be because Palestine is in the Levant and Israel is in Palestine?
Crackster, I've been trying to find a sucker big enough to fall for this reparations racket, but no luck. I thought maybe Garage or ARM would come through, but they're typical liberals. They're all for reparations, but not with their money.
But then I remembered something; The USDA already has a reparations program in place. Pigford! They hand out 60K to any black person who, well, who is black, basically. I think you might have to tell a couple fibs, but who's keeping track? Shirley Sherrod and her husband got a couple million out of it. Have you looked into it?
There's even a White Guilt aspect, which should appeal to you. The idea is that the USDA discriminated against black people when it was making farm loans. So, you just have to say that you would have bought a farm, if only the USDA had loaned you the money, and hey presto! Your reparation check is in the mail!
My grandmother is the drummer in a band at her retirement home. This is so outside what I'd imagined to be her sphere. There is a picture of her in action that I think I'll have printed and framed.
You are confused, Hagar. Israel is in the Levant and there is no such thing as Palestine outside certain warm imaginings and a bit of common Roman butchery. As Abraham Lincoln said, calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg.
All this talk about what "we should do in Iraq" is B.S.
In the first place, Barack H. Obama is going to do what Barack H. Obama is going to do regardless of any advice offered in or out of the White House.
Secondly, it has taken Mr. Obama 5½ years to set the stage for this to happen, and it is going to have to happen, and then it is going to take at least twice as long to "do" anything about it, or just to adjust to the new situation.
I don't think I am confused on that subject, but I do think you and others are, if you think that the recent developments in the former Ottoman Empire is not going to make things dicey for the State of Israel for the foreseeable future.
I get the impression the media pundits do not want to think about that, and try to pretend the problem does not exist.
In the "Men in Shorts" category, I see that the Yale Alumni Magazine just shared on Facebook a picture of its September 1942 cover, featuring campus men in shorts. And jackets.
If you mean, Hagar, that Isis, Isil or whatever they call themselves have bigger ideas, e.g. caliphate, we are in total agreement. If you think that Israel is part of some entity called Palestine, I don't know how to help you.

If it's not Festiva Maxima (and it looks like this one could be) or Sarah Bernhardt, I don't want to see it.
Hey! That one splotch looks like Florida!?!
Luscious.
@Ignorance

Maybe if we just ignore it, it will go away?

It...was a different time.
