"Top Secret Service officials ordered members of a special unit responsible for patrolling the White House perimeter to abandon their posts...

"...over at least two months in 2011 in order to protect a personal friend of the agency’s director, according to three people familiar with the operation."
The new assignment, known internally as Operation Moonlight, diverted agents to a rural area outside the southern Maryland town of La Plata, nearly an hour’s drive from Washington. Agents were told that then-Director Mark Sullivan was concerned that his assistant was being harassed by her neighbor, the three people said....

“I don’t think the Secret Service should have been down to my house, watching me all the time,” [Brenda] Allen said. “What threat do we pose? Why so much attention for this woman?”

Harvey Keitel says that sometimes the Secret Service follow him, that man by the bank in the suit and the sunglasses, look at his shoes, you can always tell by the shoes. I have a hard time hearing about shoes because I only have one pair of shoes, they smell of dog shit and mildew but they are my only pair of shoes, I only have one pair. Anyway, Harvey says he knows Secrets, that there is a special underground passageway into the White House, it is underground and it is where the hookers come in, and it's not just the hookers, the White House is full of anal sex, there is anal sex in the bedrooms and anal sex in the hallways and anal sex in the kitchen by the giant refrigerators with the ice cream, the White House is full of hookers, ice cream and anal sex. As Harvey tells me this the man in the suit and sunglasses and shoes crosses the street and walks away down the street past the falafel place; Harvey says Damn right he better walk away, he doesn't want to have to kill someone so early in the morning. There is a lot that Harvey knows.

It is stories such as these that cause me to believe that our government is beyond our reach. There is no stopping them now. They are just out there. An us against them mentality. Where "us" is the strong arm of the federal government and "them" are the common hicks. The feds do can do what they want, anytime they want, using any level of force they desire.

How did we get here?

There were probably some great parties anticipated in La Plata MD..

La Plata was a place for assignations and quickie marriages, according to the lore of my youth.

Coincidence? I think not.

Harvey Keitel says that the Secret Service might take a bullet for the President but that they wouldn't bother for the Vice President, it is just human nature, second place is not worth dying over. Harvey says that Vice Presidents know this, and that is why Vice Presidents always go crazy, their brains squirm with fear and distrust, their heads become full of worms and after they are out of Office they are Broken Men, filled with Paranoia, they think ants are crawling over them, always. Harvey says that the Secret Service are not protecting the President, they are protecting America from the Vice President with his head full of worms and ants and sometimes syphilis.

Who will rid me of this turbulent neighbor?

"How did we get here" writes Humperdink.

I think the potential has been there for a long time. All it needed was permission.. Holder and Obama, like Henry II before them, have signaled loud and clear that the restraints are off, and the natural instincts took off from there.

Secret police behaving secretively for their own interests. Who could have seen that happening?

I mean besides Iraq, Venezuela, the Maarcos Phillipines, Pakistan, New York, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, Cuba, the USSR/CIS, Argentina, Nicaragua, El Salvador...

I bet Al Qaeda would have loved to know Obama's SS was leaving a gap in the defenses of the WH.

But folks, it's only a matter of time before Obama's drones start doing their dirty work on citizens in this country who he deems them 'UN-American'.

Look at Reid and his screed over the Koch brothers and anyone associated with the Tea Party. To him they are the enemy.

Look at the IRS purposely blocking conservative groups right before the election. And then taking the 5th.

Look at all the stonewalling and ignoring of subpoenas on multiple scandals.

Democrats won't give up power without a very long and dirty fight, and they won't rule out the use of force.

CWJ has it right. The restraints on Federal Government abuse of power is off. The USA is fact descending to the level of a police state - Venezuela redux.

He said through a spokesman that he did not personally order the 2011 checks on his assistant’s home and that a supervisor in his office authorized the visits. He said that he learned of the checks after they began and that to his knowledge, they were done for just a few days and were “appropriate.”

No one is ever responsible in a bureaucracy. And Supervisors will always cover for you.

The Secret Service's duty is to protect the President of the United States. Sullivan knew something we didn't, Hillary should pack it in, his lady friend would be our next president.

@paul a'barge

Your "here is more" link goes to the article I linked in my post.

Your other article goes to The Daily Mail which has no different information. More pictures though. More headlines in boldface type.

What do you think you are adding? I saw the woman's name but there is nothing useful in the name.

I'd like to know the deal with this woman, but her name didn't have any significance that was revealed in the article.

It seems likely that we are re-evolving the aristocracy. In earlier times, there were different laws, and different judiciaries, for the nobility, the clergy, and the military. This is the origin of the idea of a "jury of one's peers". We still have separate military courts.

But more importantly, we have separate laws. It is illegal to lie to a federal agent. Ask Scooter Libby and Martha Stewart. It is a federal crime to threaten them. They have their own retirement system, which is much better than ours. They have privileges and immunities which we lack, and they take care of their own.

I first realized this many years ago, when two women were kidnapped here in the Willamette Valley. One of them was a clerk in a convenience store. She was abducted from her job. The local police agencies tried hard to find her, but without success. She has never been seen since. The other was a college student, who happened to have a Summer job working for the Forest Service. The FBI found her hand-cuffed in a van, alive, and arrested her abductor. Why was the FBI looking for a Summer Intern with the Forest Service? Because being a Federal Employee, even temporarily, made her a Real Person, as opposed to a mere US Citizen.

Jupiter,

You've got it, bro/sis!

Things will not be ok here until (among other improvements) it's just as much a crime for the feds to lie to you as it is for you to lie to them.

Until then, FOAD fibbies (and I say that as someone who know someone fairly high up in the FBI.)

Kirk Parker म्हणाले...

James P.,

I see what you're hinting at, but no. Just plain NO. The last thing we need at this point is a friggin' leftist martyr.

Points taken.

I saw the woman's name but there is nothing useful in the name.

Shame. On her. Without mercy. Endless shame. Hopefully everyone who hears or reads her name will treat her like a pariah.
