I love the idea of Kramer and Newman being so into Risk that they'd bring it onto a new York subway and continue playing while riding the train. Absurd and hilarious.
"When the sentence "The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak" (дух бодр, плоть же немощна, an allusion to Mark 14:38) was [machine] translated into Russian and then back to English, the result was "The vodka is good, but the meat is rotten" (спирт, конечно, готов, но мясо протухло). "
@jr565- yes, absurd....we have trouble keeping the game board set up on the dining room table without someone accidentally jiggling it and knocking the armies around.

I haven't played Risk in ages (have moved on to better games since then)but I remember the few times we had to stop playing in the middle of the game and had to mark how many armies were in each country just in case some jostled the board. I can imagine playing on a moving NYC train.

In Risk, the Ukraine (esp with the Middle East) is a game changer. But you need lots of armies.
"Ukraine is game to you!"
That was a question, not a statement. Should have a ?
Wow. Nobody mentioned Obama once.
Fascinating,...

Obama must have learned his foreign affairs from playing Risk.

Axis & Allies > Risk
"Oh, it's Risk, it's a game of world domination being played by two guys who can barely run their own lives."
