Anita Hill says that Biden did a "terrible job" of running the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearing.

In a new interview:
“I think he did two things that were a disservice to me, that were a disservice more importantly to the public," Hill said. "There were three women who were ready and waiting and and subpoenaed to be giving testimony about similar behavior that they had experienced or witnessed. He failed to call them."
Hey, journalists: Ask Biden about it!

I was riveted by those hearings. As I recall, the three other women referred to by Anita Hill had obvious problems that would have nullified the impact of their testimony.

That poor woman wanted Thomas to pay attention to her and he married a white woman ! Nobody hates black men more than black women after they marry a white woman.

Brilliant repartee at TPM by the way.

cubanbob म्हणाले...

She must be writing a book. Got to make noise to gin up sales. The TPM comments are what one would expect.

Just for fun lets assume what she claims is true. What does it show? That the Democrats picked the dumbest Democrat possible years later to be Vice President.

Funny thing is that Thomas has been on the court for over twenty years and since then no one has alleged improper conduct by him.

What difference at this point does it make?

SGT Ted म्हणाले...

Sour grapes are sour.

Vengeful or jilted women lie about shit like this routinely, to punish men for not complying with their desires.

And, even if he did say what she claims:

"Oh, a pubic hair joke, my virgin ears!!!"

Was Anita Hill come from some sort of Victorian era commune?

He is alleged to have told an off color joke to a woman at work and this is supposed to keep him from serving on the Supreme Court?

But, Bill Clinton gets blow jobs in the Oval Office from an intern and its "not sex" or "his personal life" and not subject to critique as to his fitness for Office.

Fuck the Democrats for making Clarence Thomas's confirmation hearing a political career lynching and to hell with the harpy Anita Hill.

And, indeed, what difference at this point does it make? Other than for book sales.

Boy, she's been dining out on a purported pubic hair for a long time.

" Joe Biden did a terrible job...". You can stop right there. It is the story of his life.

Tom म्हणाले...

Easy equation. Anyone who supports Bill Clinton yet believes Clarence Thomas is a sexual harrasser and shouldn't be on the SCOTUS because of it is a hypocrite. Not even F. Scott Fitzgerald could hold those two opposing thoughts at the same time and retain the ability to function. I think.

rhhardin म्हणाले...

I wasn't called to testify, either, and that would have thrown the case back the way it came out. Proof that Hill is lying.

Ah, yes, Anita "He harassed me so badly I voluntarily followed him to a new job, rather than stay where I was and file a complaint" Hill.

Translation: "Hillary for President."

(And maybe a nice federal job for Anita Hill.)

SteveR म्हणाले...

Gee I wonder who she voted for in '08 and '12?

She was teaching classes at my alma mater last I heard. Which is why I will never give the school a penny.

Anita Hill shut your whore mouth.

Chuck म्हणाले...

The purpose of the hearing in 1991 was to determine whether then Circuit Judge Thomas was fit to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court. That he had the knowledge, intellect, experience and character to serve competently and faithfully.

And of course what we didn't know then, but what we do know now, is that Justice Thomas has fulfilled his oath of office in every way imaginable. More than 20 years of service that could only be criticized by his political opponents.

It's almost an unfair question; should Clarence Thomas have been confirmed to the high court? It is such an easy and self-evident answer now. Of course he should have been confirmed. No sane and sensible person could argue otherwise. Whatever doubts that may have been sown by the liberal ideologues in the Democratic staff of the Senate Judiciary Committee back at the time of the hearing, they have now been obliterated by two decades of service on the Court.

Eric म्हणाले...

Hey Joe! Get out of the way!

The Cracker Emcee Refulgent म्हणाले...

Ah, my first nudge to conservatism. I thought the hearings were riveting too, and after absorbing them, the Clinton years made it very plain what a pile of lying, slimy hypocrites the Left were and are.

gadfly म्हणाले...

Hmm. This was the same bunch of Senate Democrats who destroyed Robert Bork, almost got to Clarence Thomas and then turned their backs on justice by letting Slick Willy off the hook.

Anita continues to lie. Party politics haven't really changed nor has the NAGs - the National Association of Gals.

Lnelson म्हणाले...

Note: Quotes are paraphrased...think fake but accurate.

Ted Kennedy: "A pubic hair joke? He's not fit for the court!"
Kennedy out of the public eye: "Hey Chris, I got this hot tramp we can both bang"

Ted Kennedy: "Green power and wind generators are vital to this nation"
Back at the Mass compound: "Those wind generators will be a blight on the horizon"

Lnelson म्हणाले...

I forgot it was Bork's career that Kennedy assassinated.
Still, the court confirmation antics of democrats over the past 25 years is a despicable display.
Politics of personal destruction is all they have anymore

Humperdink म्हणाले...

"There were three women who were ready and waiting and and subpoenaed to be giving testimony about similar behavior that they had experienced or witnessed..... "

So who were these three women? Juanita Broderick, Kathleen Willey, Paula Jones and Gennifer Flowers? Wait, that's more than three. Sorry.

Couldn't agree more. Is there anything worse than a "15 minutes of fame" person trying to milk another few minutes, years later?

They come off looking sad and pathetic. Like they are holding out a tin can begging for the lost glory.

Skeptical Voter म्हणाले...

Why complain about Biden? Doing a terrible job is his specialty. The son of a gun couldn't organize a two car funeral in a small Nebraska town--why does Anita think Slow Joe could run a Senate hearing?

And in addition, we the people forgive Bill Clinton so much, that we are now close to electing him for a third (and perhaps fourth) term, nodding and winking our way around the 23rd amendment.

I think we all know what Anita Hill did and what she is. I think we all know how certain Dems lynched a black man and got away with it. We don't need to hear from her.

That is par for the course. If you lean liberal, one good deed undoes a life of crime but if you lean conservative, one bad act (regardless of how small) can never be forgiven or forgotten.

Oh, and in this case I think she is totally full of crap. As others have said and was said at the time, if she was oh so offended why did she follow him around like a love struck school girl?

Peter म्हणाले...

The woman who launched a thousand corporate "education" courses, thereby creating employment for a whole new generation of zampolit.

She failed to derail Thomas' confirmation, yet somehow managed to create a tremendous pile of political mischief anyway.

If it hadn't been for former Pres. Clinton and "that woman," we'd probably still be forced to listen to facilitators asserting "women who accuse men of sexual misbehavior (or worse) never lie" about such things- in a setting where disagreement is not tolerated.

In case you didn't know, the documentary, Anita, is bouncing around theaters now. I think they're pushing for a wider release.

She lied then, she lies now.

Two things to remember when considering Anita Hills allegations:

1: The man she described was out of control. If her description had been valid, he would have done those kind of things again, some time in the last 13 years. And if he had, it would have come out.

2: The alternate claim was that Hill got "fired" from her first job for being incompetent, made up a story about leaving because of sexual harassment, got hired by Thomas, and got "fired" from that job because she couldn't cut it. And that the whole "Thomas harassed me" story came out of that original claim.

So, what has law professor Anita Hill accomplished in the last 13 years? She was a cause celeb of the left, why isn't she at Harvard? Where are her high profile legal articles? Has she done ANYTHING with the fame she had?

No.

Why?

Because she is incompetent. Because story #2 is correct.

She smeared an innocent man, and everyone who jumped on her bandwagon, everyone who pretended to believe her unsubstantiated and non-credible allegations (come on, she was stealing claims from cases she had been in the office when she was there!), shares in her shame.
