When in Rome two weeks ago, I saw several cases where two Smart* cars were parked sideways across a single parking space. They have a lot of small cars in Europe because parking is very difficult and many old cities have very narrow streets. In those places, very small cars like the Smart or the Toyota (or Scion) IQ make sense. I even saw a 4 door Smart car in Greece. They also use small trucks to service older parts of the city. I also remember hearing ambulance sirens in Rome. Perhaps there were a lot of people being injured in auto accidents.
*They named them Smart cars because "Dumbass Deathtrap" didn't poll well in the marketing focus groups.
These cars don't cost much, but if you own a SUV and strong arms, you can steal a half dozen of them in a single outing. The trick to making money in Petty Theft Auto is volume.

Behold, the folding coffin!
I'll take a real motorcycle over a folding car.
As long as there's no snow on the ground.

Twenty years ago a pal had a personal helicopter that could fit in the passenger seat of his MG when disassembled. Don't see this as much different.
Meet George Jetson...
Folding cars are not new technology.

When it gets small enough and light enough that I can have it in me. I'll buy.
