How many people thought of this idea for a tweet...

... but managed to resist the shameful impulse?

I said it before & I'll say it again: Titter will end more careers than booze, drugs, or sex before it's gone.

Never, ever shoot from the hip in a public space with your name attached.

Do so anonymously & semi-privately.

Like here chez Althouse.

How bizarrely lame.
It's not even a rare name.
"Oh, a man died somewhere. Why couldn't it have been the man, Paul Ryan?"

Pathetic

I'm getting bored with Obama. He slightly revived my interest by spectacularly failing to know the true state of the Obamacare website. How could he not know? But I'm bored again. It's very slow movie running in slow motion in a loop

Couldn't have happened to a nicer skank.

Better question: How many of our friends on the Left said some version of that to each other? While giggling.

Oh, the humanity !

Ironically a Walker aide just got fired for tweeting she'd like to choke Mexicans cleaning in a library.

Ah, the News Editor at Jezebel.com.

Nice "Squirrel!" there, garage.

It's Jezebel. Anybody with an IQ above room temperature wouldn't lower themselves to write for them.

And even more to the point, the Walker aide got canned. It's unlikely the Jezebel editor will face anything more than a bunch of quiet atta girls.

It was a horrible thing to say. Did they apologize?

You know, we just had a long talk with my 10-year-old son because he told a boy at school "I will kill you" thinking he was making a clever joke (a la Achmed the Dead Terrorist, I think). Apparently some people didn't learn about boundaries in school.

David म्हणाले...

Garage, she sort of apologized, saying:

"I don't wish death on anyone. Joking about that was insensitive and inappropriate."

Now, she could not quite bring herself to direct the apology to anyone. Nor do I think that the apology was voluntary. She tweeted at 7:14 PM and posted the above at 11:56 PM, nearly two hours after Twitchy had exposed the avalanche of criticism she had already received.

One of those survival apologies, methinks.

Don't waste your energy defending this jerk. She's a loser.

Lyle Smith म्हणाले...

She has made it amazingly far in life with that character. Lord have mercy.

I think the best way to drive the anti-Walker people nuts is to say it was him but on the third day the Governor rose from the dead in fulfillment of the scriptures.

MadisonMan म्हणाले...

When I heard Paul Walker had died, my only reaction was "Who?"

MayBee म्हणाले...

She doubled down before she apologized. That article leaves it out. But prior to apologizing, she said conservatives just don't have a sense of humor.

What happened to our new era of civility? Did Gabby Giffords get shot in the head for nothing?

Me too.
Apparently he was some sort of actor.

She'll be fine. It is acceptable to say terrible things about conservatives/Republicans followed up by half-hearted apologies. It's part of the political game.

kjbe म्हणाले...

Both names were in a lot of headlines, this last week, so it was easy to do a double-take. And I'm no fan of the Governor, but this never crossed my mind.

Nice people ya got there. Be a shame if sumthin happened to 'em. I know I'd cry about it.
