"1 judge with tie to John Doe probe signed Scott Walker recall petition."

Headline at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Excerpt:
One judge with at least minor involvement in a secret investigation of campaign fundraising and spending during Wisconsin's recent recall elections signed the recall petition against Gov. Scott Walker two years ago....

Duvall, a former Democratic district attorney of Buffalo County, was appointed to the bench by Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle in 2005 and has been elected twice since then.....

Odd that there are only investigations into conservative groups breaking campaign finance laws.

Sort of like the IRS only vetting conservative groups tax-exempt status.

It would be very bad if day-to-day government workers are conducting partisan investigations.

They are and it is.

no one ever covered the concept of "recuse" in law school for these twerps.

Aren't the grammar rules regarding the use of numerals to always spell out numbers one through nine and to never start a sentence with a numeral?

That headline breaks both rules, which surprises me more than the injudicious judge.

Was it one of six or one of seven judges who have approved of this investigation?

Apparently the other majority of non-signers are all partisan hacks too?

And here I thought it was our constitutional right to take part in democracy?

When we're talking recusal, I think Gableman and Prosser both are not standing on very secure ground.

Why is the '1' even needed in the headline?

wow...shocker....yawn. Say, remember when Sara Palin was vilified as being stupid because she claimed there are death panels in ObamaCare?
Well, Mark Halperin of Time, admitted that there are in fact Death Panels built into ObamaCare as a way to keep costs down.

I got as far as "1 judge with tie" and found myself wondering, "Wait, is that unusual? Do they ordinarily go barenecked, or what?"

Maybe the headline was written by Prince?

If the judge has a meaningful role in the investigation, I will be delighted to know that he may well not be impartial.

That would be far better than not knowing it.

Has anyone really looked, of late, at George Soros?
