Well, of course it snowed there yesterday, 'there' being the middle of nowhere. The only odd fact is that there was someone around to notice, nowhere (like every other utopia) being usually pretty empty.
I just think Meade and Zeus are two of the happiest creatures on the planet today. Along with our son Mike and his Rocky, doing much the same thing, probably, in Columbus, Ohio, today. Mike is a blues musician, so his days are free. Lucky Rocky! Lucky Zeus! We need our dogs to bring us into a connection with Mother Earth. Joyful!
I don't think that Prescott is really that surprising. It is 7,000 feet, while PHX, 140 miles south, is at about 1,500 feet. Takes like almost twice the gas for me to go PHX to Flag, than the other way. Many a time I have seen on the nightly news in PHX, where it is a pleasant 75, blizzards in Flagstaff. Remember one time I took the southern route from CO to PHX (I-25 to I-40) because I-70 had blizzard conditions. Blue sky most of the way, and was flying along I-40 and missed the cutoff a bit east of Winslow that diagonals to PHX because I was making such good time. Started hitting snow at about 5,000 feet, and it was a driving blizzard up through Flagstaff, and then down to about 5,000 feet on the other side, averaging maybe 25 much of that way. Then blue sky and 70+ mph all the way down I-17 to PHX.
Up in NW MT, we are supposed to get our first snow of the year down low Sunday. Had some earlier above 5,000 feet, and the mtns are already white, but we are down around 2,500 feet. Hope it isn't much here though, because we have an appt in Missoula Tues, and my SO is a wreck as a passenger on snow. Comes from living most of her life in the desert. Not so much for me, who has fond memories of driving 12,000 ft Loveland Pass every weekend in the winter in high school for skiing (we trained at A-Basin on the west side of the pass).

Buy long underwear.
Every posture is a word, with dogs.
Snow in Wisconsin in late October? Must be Anthropogenic Global Warming!
It snowed in Prescott,AZ two weeks ago. Now that was quite a surprise.
Humans are visual, dogs are olfactory.

@bandmeeting, that's due to anthropogenic global warming, too!
hey, I haven't seen that St. Bernard for a while. Did he move? If not, I think he/she would enjoy a trip to the dog park.
