"... to an Interesting Person who'll surely be profiled by Esquire or the Awl someday in long form."
It's Paul Kevin Curtis, suspected of sending those ricin letters. This seems to be his YouTube channel. And here's his Prince imitation.
I don't know how he got into what appears to be a classroom or what those teenagers are thinking.
It's nice to be free to laugh at this one.

Where are the Zucker brothers when you need them?
This week has gone from weird to bizarre - and that's just politics.
It's really loathsome for an adult man to be sidling up to captive audience girls and singing the "Little Red Corvette" lyrics.
That should not happen in schools.
This almost ruined Prince for me. I love Prince.
Typical Mensa member.
Pathological need for attention.
One day, his genius will be appreciated.
"Poor soul. He was just too high strung."

One of the YouTube comments says " I know your daughter was proud that day!"

Didn't daddy ever sing "Rockaby Baby" to you? Now that's inappropriate.

His comment: "I Never Expected This Headline: 'Suspect in ricin-laced mailings is an Elvis impersonator.'
Yes, the guy's from Tupelo - Elvis' birthplace - and he mailed the letters from Memphis but, when he signed the note inside 'KC', I though maybe the evil deed was done by Harry Casey from KC and the Sunshine Band because it seemed like he wanted several politicians to Get Down Tonight."
"Poor soul. He was just too high strung."
Good one, Doc
"That should not happen in schools."
Really? That's terribly Santorumish of you. The song's message is quit being a slut, it's bad for you.
This guy has a lively need for attention. It's great beyond measure that his attention getting stunt was completely upstaged by the Boston crime. He doesn't even get fifteen minutes.
