I assumed that, eventually there would be a full time dog in the Meadehouse. I was wrong.
You seem to be doing very well with several part time dogs. I'm sure this is a win-win situation for dogs that might otherwise sit at home all day long.
Bill Ayers' Weatherman was (is?) a domestic terrorist organization that engaged in terrorist activities in the United States in the 1970's.
Should the President and/or lower level administration officials have had authority to eliminate selected Weatherman leaders by missile strike, assassination by hired "hitmen," or whatever?
(Don't bring up Ruby Ridge or Waco. There was nothing secret about those operations.)

Man, we just lost a big fuzzy very lovable dog. These photos of Abby and Zeus are tempting me once again...and it's been a couple of weeks plus now. Still hurts. The photos of Abby and Zeus make me feel better. Question: Do I have it in me to raise and properly train another big dog? We still have "Dera" our hyper energetic female...am I giving her enough time? I think not...need to improve that before anything else. For now...I'll watch Abby grow up. Thanks.
Hell, even bagoh20's rescued Doberman boy pup is tempting, just too far away, which is probably a good thing for now.
You could have some great pics of kid sleeping against sleeping dog.

No. They should have been tried and found guilty and be in prison or executed.
When one of my dogs dies, I'm on the phone to breeders right away to find a new pup.
Normally, I would be doing that. The GSD pups I'd buy now are $2500+ but that's all right, the issue is me, not money. Do I deserve a new dog?Yes, I am still feeling guilty for the time I didn't give "Ari", at least in my mind.
This time, at 70, I am questioning whether I really have what it takes to raise and train a big dog properly...and the ability to give it the time it deserves, which is 3-4 hours per day in direct attention....not all at once, but in sum. We still have "Dear" and at 8 she's going to be here a while longer...my gut says do the right thing, give "Dera" everything I can, now.
I hate it when personal animals die, horse or dog, yet I've always gone ahead and asked for it again. I know they don't live long. This time I am not sure I'll outlive a new one.
I forgot to mention that, thanks bagoh20's multiple comments about rescued dogs, particularly the Doberman recently, I'm considering a rescued dog....if and when a "right" one comes along. Our "Dera" is a highly social & playful German Shepherd who would dearly love another canine playmate...she's the "Omega" jester. The Doberman bagoh20 mentioned he was fostering would be perfect I suspect...but too far away. However, it got me thinking. It may be time for me to just give back, to learn to love a dog that needs it most.

Can one plastic grocery bag do the poop bag job for Abby?
And all that snow intrigues me. Does everyone in the North get issued snow drifts that linger?
Zeus kicked to the curb, just like that.
Isn't it beautiful when good looking girls are shone in their natural setting.WooHoo Abby.
The Daily Cuuuuuuuuute.
Literally she is in her element.
Get ready to bathe her. Here comes the mud.

She needs a mini barrel of booze under her chin.

Too bad you haven't got a grandson to borrow.

I like it.
And it's is, not was.
The dog is entitled to royalties on the Amazon loot.
Professor: Is the St. Bernard a pup or one of the smaller bred ones I've been seeing the past couple of years?
The snow just melted here.
Be sure and wipe of Abby's paws after walking in the salt and chemicals. She is a beautiful dog and I'll bet she is loving the snow.

Forget that. She will need a drool bucket. One of the downsides of a St Bernard. Your whole house will be covered in shiny ropy strands of drool.

I do not like the term "cutie Pie", but from a Golden Retriever man, that pup is a cutie pie.

Dogs don't live as long as people so you'll go through a lot of them.
The bible on the situation is Vicki Hearne Oyez à Beaumont.
Abbbbbbiiieeeeee!
She is such a sweetie. Love her.
Shhhh don't tell the two snoozing cats on my lap.
Be sure and wipe of Abby's paws after walking in the salt and chemicals.
----
or, unless everyone's sidewalk is bone dry salted, try to steer clear of walking her over big salt chunks.
her pads looked so new, and most dogs are smart enough to not walk on the salt if they can help it.
maybe this is one of the reasons she lies down to 'rest' so often.
common sense -- think like a dog.
the cold she's built to handle.
the madison chemicals -- not so much. see, lakes/watershed for how they affect living things.
Cuuuuuuuuute.
Literally she is in her element.

naturally, dogs would walk on snow, unleashed. not sidewalk salt.
