At the A-to-Z Café...
... we've got Abby and Zeus.
(Abby is a St. Bernard puppy, and Zeus is a 6-year-old Lab. They belong to different neighbors, and we were taking care of them as they got together for the first time.)

Alpha and Omega of Meadehouse. They're very well behaved.
Made my day! You two are very lucky to have such companions.
I would have trouble with a doe-eyed dog like Abby: I'd be concerned with her expression that she wasn't happy. I have a mournful cat that does that to me offset by a wild-eyed German Short-Hair Pointer. I know it's silly.
Good lunch at Manna Cafe in Madison today. Great food with Jewish specialties and excellent lox.
So, I'm watching this American version of House of Cards, and I've got to say it leaves a lot to be desired. I'm supposed to believe a prominent Washington newspaper would run a story about a leaked education bill that's left of center and a) it would be pulled because of it and b) the President and his staff would be embarassed by it? And a Secretary of State (or was it Defense)? would be embarassed by a college editorial that was anti-Israel? And George Stephenapoulus would grill the guy (a Democrat) about the editorial on national TV?
This show might have worked in the 1990's. Every premise is laughable now.
Adorable! Meade's advice about the "puppy yelp" reprimand is very sound.
Abby is the calmest puppy I've ever seen. I am used to "poodle turbo" pups. (We had planned to name Baci "Turbo," but Mom discouraged us because she thought it might be a bad omen that would turn him into a "turbo." A lot of good that advice did. Now we often call him "Baci T. Baci.")
Until watching this video I was semi-convinced Abby was actually a stuffed animal.
Goats Yelling Like Humans
Almost pissed my pants laughing at few of those.
I want that dog.
Your wedding ring is small.
tits.
Now I get it, you save all the sweet and cuddly for the dawgz and all we peons get is cranky.
Saw this map earlier - if the US were made into 50 equally populated states. Break up some of the conservative one so Barry would have his 60.
Also, the global alcohol consumption ma.
And finally, Pelosi galore thinks cutting Congress' pay in interest of lowering the deficit is beneath their dignity.
PS Not that it's any of my business, but why the purple nails?
Garage, the dog's reaction in the last clip made me laugh so hard the daughter came to see what was up.
My dog has a sad look on his face like that.
Garage, that was very funny!
That Abbey is one of the most photogenic dogs I've seen, and I've seen a lot, and you can actually see her growing in real time. Very cute.
Garage's goats are pretty funny. If I heard one of those, and didn't know where it was coming from, I'd probably grab a first aid kit, expect to find someone stuck under a heavy object.
Amazing edutcher, they make the US into 50 equal population states and name one of them Maumee and one of them King? They must plan on Obama being president for life.
There is nothing like an attentive basset hound. They are on the case at all times and ready for action.

Those goats! The last one....." yeah"!
Sorry. An an attentive basset hound.
Abby is still puppy cute, too bad they grow up to be big slobbery dogs, maybe she'll be the exception .

Not in AlaMissaGia.
As I said, though, I'd be interested to see 60 states, just like Barry thinks we have.
PS Note they're almost all named for the dominant Indian tribe in the area.
Nevermind.....
Abby is adorable. You'll have a sibling within a year.
I see both Abby and Zeus speak fluent Butt.
Congrats to Monona Grove Silver Eagles! State Champs!
Just finished my closet shelves. Job came in on time and under budget!
I went to the ER today--scary brain ache.
Love the goats. The next to last one sounds like an old Jewish man. Name him Maurie.
Thanks for posting the video. Abby is beautiful! I loved when she sat there with her rawhide, not chewing it.
Interesting problem in Minneapolis here Big racial incident between Somali's and African American students at the high school. I see a fair amount of dislike and distrust between these two groups.
Hope you're well, Liz. Returning from the ER suggests good news, I hope.
Tengo Una Cita - Manolo Galvan
Speaking of where's the Q, does anybody remember Adam West as...
Captain Q?
"Too-da-loo, Captain Q!"
Hi Meade
Hope that go back to this thread.
I just bought a few minutes ago, The Irrational Atheist Kindle for PC by entering amazon through your portal. I had to fiddle a bit as I had to download the program. Did you get the commission?
Thanks
I got up way too early today, at 2:30am. I've been getting up a half hour earlier each day, trying to get a jump on jet-lag.
I leave for Germany tonight. Hopefully I'll be tired enough to sleep on the plane, and wake up in Germany on German time.
If not, I've wasted a whole lot of hours that I could have been sleeping.
Will U be my Valentine?! a video suggested after this is hilarious. A teen freaking out his little dog and insisting he doesn't abuse the poor confused thing.
But I wanted to say your sweetness toward the puppy is so tender and contrasts sharply with the video in Ace's sidebar last week titled Ring of Saturn Seized and Devoured (fat cat cover). A big old fat cat is pulled onto on a teen's lap who controls the cat's paws to be the drummer. The cat suffers the ordeal. It's horrible. The music ends and the cat saunters off apparently dazed.
My favorite comment over there, Cat: "please kill me."
Awwwwwww

We love having you back.
Walt Whitman reciting a few lines from his poem "America" in 1892, as recorded on an Edison wax-cylinder.
He was 72 and died that year.
Tiredest. Dog. Ever.
I would like to point out, Ann, that you have evolved from someone who was apprehensive about the dog Meade first lured into the basement into someone who takes in stride a dog sneezing all over you and your camera lens.
Attagirl!
Meadehouse has become the land of baby talk.
I watched an interesting, albeit one sided take on Occupy... called Occupy Unmasked.
It reminded me of the little slide in the plane... Occupied... tie that to the stranded boat with the defecation horror stories that drove Althouse batty... and my daily vortex was almost complete.
I say almost because instead of feeding us our daily Gatsby... Althouse was playing with the dog.
re: Whitman' America, would his sentiments today be the same?
Abby has a horizontal marking on her back legs and tail.
Cute.
True, David, but as long as we have "Baby" in the corner over there, I'm expecting Patrick Swayze and Meadehouse to be in a very adult brawl soon after Baby Abby debuts her dirty dancing skills in that well appointed room.
Hope they keep that video rolling!
Prediction:
Patrick Swayze's GHOST returns Baby Abby to her owners.
Might be a good long while before we hear any Baby talk after that.
"Tiredest. Dog. Ever."
Yes, that poor dog had just walked all the way around the block only stopping to sit and rest about 20 times.
Zeus has that attentive docility I like so much in labradors. He knows how to act to get the treat.
Abby is adorable. But she seems like she's on sleep medication.
A lot of napping and spaciness about surroundings. Either that or total calmness and ease. Which is a good thing considering how obnoxious yapping dogs are.
Professor?
Why do you videos take so long to download?
I've spend the better part of 20 minutes trying to watch this one the way it goes in fits and starts and as much as I want to watch it there just aren't enough minutes in the say for me to spent 20 minutes trying to watch a 4 minute video.
And yeah this just happens with your videos.
