Maybe I'm naive...Nope, I think paranoid is more me.
Imagine if everyone doped, or nobody did, including Lance, do you think he might still have been just about as outstanding? I think it's quite possible, since many did dope, and he still beat them all. The question would be how good were the ones who didn't? Were they good enough to beat an un-doped Armstrong?
What a shame if he actually was naturally the best anyway, and he threw it all away out of fear of being beat by other cheaters.
Would he have doped if he knew nobody else was? He certainly knew some were not, but it's all about being first at all costs, not honorably second.
I'm very competitive in sports only, not enough to cheat, which to me is actually being noncompetitive, but I really want to win.
I have no need to be first or best in anything else. For all other endeavors I just need to be good, competent, honest, effective. My attention span, and the ease with which I'm distracted by some new endeavor would never allow me to be the best at anything... except for love, at which I'm of course the best who ever lived - man, beast, or latex. I shit you not. Sure, I live alone, but that doesn't mean anything. Maybe I'm just too good for them. Yea, I think that's it.
So this doping thing really improves performance, huh? Just wondering.
Maybe I'm naive, but I still don't think the Benghazi attack was anything more than retaliation for the release of the anti-Islamic video, Innocence of Muslims.
