"Red Sky at night,
Sailor's delight.
Red Sky at morning,
Sailor take warning."

PS:But does pink mean the sailor should be just mildly irritated?

Rusty म्हणाले...

I like pink in the morning. Not necessarily the sky.

MadisonMan म्हणाले...

It was really beautiful to see on the bus in. Quite a deep red around 6:30, and more of a pink at 7. Awesome!

It was chilly at my house when I got home this morning. I forgot to switch from the A/C to heat before I left last night, and the temperature was 64 degrees inside (about 49 outside). Oops! Heat's on... At least until midday.

MadisonMan म्हणाले...

Why would you turn the heat on if it's 64 degrees already in your house?

Ann Althouse म्हणाले...

64° in the house. That's what I turn the thermostat up to when I'm chilly. The daytime setting is 62 and the nighttime programmed temperature is 56°. Meade tries to get me to turn it down to 45° at night! Or open the window.

Your body produces its own heat, you know.

Hey! we have the white stuff here.. this morning. Our thermostat reads 70. We are warm blooded people from the tropics.

Unknown म्हणाले...

I prefer to be in a cool environment especially at night. 64 degrees is about right at night for me. It does make getting out of bed a thrilling experience.

Not enough when you are in Chicago in January.

Now, if I was home.

MadisonMan म्हणाले...

70! Heat-induced torpor is a result!

Our house is insulated like a hobbit hole. It's pretty much always the same temperature, no matter the season.

Freeman Hunt म्हणाले...

Well, okay, we vary it a little. Sixty-nine in winter, seventy-one in summer. I like wearing sweaters, but I am the only one in the house who does.

If you keep teeing up the lawyer jokes, we're gonna start spiking them over the net...

Red dawn!

Mid-Life Lawyer म्हणाले...

Lovely. Reminds me of a Beth Orton song.

I'm having a very difficult time deciding whether Penélope Cruz is better looking than Priyanka Chopra or whether it's the other way round.

I could be happier if this was June.

Yes, but you lose it quickly in cold weather.

Unless you have a comforter, several blankets, a few dogs (breed dependent), and possibly a spouse shielding against loss of said heat.

Ann Althouse म्हणाले...

A down comforter is all you need. I even replaced the heavy one with a light one or Meade would have opened the windows.

edutcher म्हणाले...

Glad you think so.

I believe the survival guys who say, "layers".

I've also got a wife with lousy circulation.

(I OTOH have veins she lusts for - if only to draw the blood from them)

WE are bracing for a WINTER STORM down here in the South. :-)
