He'd run as the previous GOP governors had: as a moderate check on the excesses of the Mass Dem establishment.

Plus Brown is much better as a politician "in the district", so to speak. He lost part of that advantage going to Washington.

My guess is Deval Patrick won't go to DC, however, probably for that very reason.; १०/११/१२, ११:३९ AM

The only one who comes to mind is Deval Patrick. He's already announced that he won't be seeking reelection as governor in 2014. He's obviously got the statewide name recognition to match Scott Brown's, and he's a Democrat and still popular after six years as governor.

He'd win.

Barring that, yeah, Scott Brown would have an excellent chance to win. It was a close race against Warren, and her closing ads were all about the idea that he could be the decisive vote to hand the Senate to Republicans --- obviously not a concern this time.; १०/११/१२, ३:२३ PM
