There are 3 months to a season. Autumn began in the 3d week of September. I say late autumn begins around Thanksgiving. This is mid-Autumn.

Out in the gently subsiding day feeling peaceful not feeling bad.
In L.A. Autumn is one month (November). That's how long it takes all the leaves to fall off the trees that do that. It started last week. It's gonna be around eighty for the next few days and then I'm sure it will be winter by end of the month with some rain and temps down to 60. It's almost unbearable. Send supplies.

Economics permitting I'll be visiting my daughter at Christmas in Huntington Beach. Last year I'd get up early to walk to the beach, about a mile away. It was always around 34-36 deg. Walk through the cold fog in a shirt, a sweater and a hoodie. By the time I got back it would be 75 and clear and I'd be carrying my sweater and sweatshirt.
I love the weather. Hate the congestion and expense.
You never know what time it is if all you have is atomic clocks, hour-handwise.
