"The unemployment truthers are not helping Romney."

Says WaPo's Greg Sargent, but I'm a Sargent truther. Sargent skews everything to try to help Obama. Of all the mainstream commentators I've been watching over the last few years, he's the most predictable. In no way do I believe he's sincerely and accurately offering advice to Romney supporters.

EVERY-ONE AT BLS LOVES US AT THE WH.

From now to the election day, EXPECT every-news outlet to support us.

Who needs Romney? No one.
Who loves Romney? No one.

BIDEN WILL DESTROY RYAN in the debate.

Then on October 16, The BEST AND GREATEST POTUS in US HISTORY will dismember Romney LIVE to over 100 Million viewers.

Romney will be destroyed by Obama. NYT, MSNBC, etc. have already decided on the head-lines and live debate commentary.

Even the robot on Mars will watch. The Russian Astronauts are watching, too.

ROMNEY IS GOING TO BE BURIED on 10/16.

Bring flowers to the funeral.

The chart at the bottom of this post is interesting.

My knee tends to jerk against conspiracy theories, but this stuff stinks. Almost nine hundred thousand jobs in a month?

TexasVoter म्हणाले...

I just think it was a strange coincidence that after Obama was declared the loser of the debate, he gets on the campaign trail talking recovery.

The term "truther" has jumped the shark. As has the phrase "jumped the shark."

I guess that's a double whammy on shark truthers like me.

LOL, let me know if you truly believe you can 873,000 jobs in a 1.5% GDP economy. Last time we've added that many jobs, the GDP was 9%.

Carnifex म्हणाले...

greatest hiring boom in 30 years!!

After being trounced on national TV.

Yeah, I believe the lying sack of shit. READ THE INTERNALS!!!

There are lies, damn' lies, statistics, and then there are lying liars seeking to keep power anyway they possibly can. And this behavior is exactly why I fear the Mighty Kenyan will declare a "State of Emergency" rather than allow anyone else to be elected. It's what dictators have done, since the beginning of time.

I found the sites that destroyed this bullshit as completely as Zero was destroyed Wed. night. I'll find it and be back with the links.

Ps.

Anyone who believes what the main stream media writes about this guy was never gonna' vote for anybody else. They're too retarded.

cubanbob म्हणाले...

It's amazing how otherwise sane and intelligent people when it comes to politics take WMD grade stupid pills.
The labor force has shrunk so the unemployment rate has shrunk. But the total number of adults who are able to work but aren't has stayed the same or increased.

When Bush was campaigning for reelection in 04 the unemployment rate was 4.5% and left was complaining about a jobless recovery and that the jobs being created were McJobs. And what are the so-called being created today? McJobs but since a democrat is in office that can't be mentioned. One has to be mentally deranged to be a liberal.

AllenS म्हणाले...

Greg Sargent, Journolist member, liar, fabricator, a man who will do and say anything to help Obama.

MarkD म्हणाले...

This is the official rate, because the government said it is. There is almost no inflation, because the government said food and energy don't count. Your property can be seized and given to others who will pay more taxes because some judges decided that's what the Constitution allows.

Meanwhile, those who will never work again and gave up don't count. Those who are working part time but wish to work full time do count. It isn't necessary to believe there is a cabal of economists in the BLS working on the Obama campaign to believe that the official number understates the employment situation.

Carnifex म्हणाले...

Here is one analysis...
http://hotair.com/archives/2012/10/05/jobs-report-114k-jobs-added-jobless-rate-7-8/

Here's the money statement--"The number of unemployed dropped 456,000 last month, while only 114,000 jobs got added. That either means that 342,000 people left the US, or they left the work force in one way or another. In the household survey, though, the number of people with jobs rose by 873,000 — a very strange outcome that makes it appear that more than one tweak has been done to previous data. (The +873K is in the seasonally adjusted number, by the way.)"

So I missed either the mass exodus, or the mass murder. It's possible There were both events, and hence so small, weren't reported...Yeah...that's what happened...And Romney cheated during the debate. He used figures and logic and stuff. If you don't believe me just ask shut up!

Carnifex म्हणाले...

I should add as an aside, this guy mentions in an update that the household poll could just be an outlier, and NOT deliberate massaging of numbers...again, yeah, I believe that.

Carnifex म्हणाले...

You didn't poll that. Someone else had a hand in it.

It is pathetic really. 70 million saw Obama in the debate. He didn't say what he did do in the last four years to make the economy better. He didn't defend his policies. He said nothing. And then the next day, they cook books to show this unemployment rate and he is shrieking on the stump still not saying what he did, what is working to bring the numbers down, the biggest switch in trend in 29 years. Yeah, unbelievable. They are going for the lowest denominator voters.

Nathan Alexander म्हणाले...

In all these cases, if you unquestionably accept the final response without considering, investigating, or even caring how that final response was generated, you are a gullible fool, or a partisan operative.

Which one are you?

garage mahal म्हणाले...

"You are a silly idiot projecting at every turn."

You're a paranoid and desperate fool that thinks Romney is going to lose. Which he will. You just haven't accepted that fact yet. The reason you think Democrats are cheating is because you know Republicans already are.

edutcher म्हणाले...

The problem is, even if the numbers aren't fixed, and I'm skeptical, it's still a lousy jobs report.

60% of those added jobs are part time. Yeah, if you have a couple (or more), you can scrape by, but how do you build a future?

And, of course, most part time jobs don't include benefits.

If Zero trumpets this at the next debate, the Romster will hand him his chair.

Shanna म्हणाले...

This is the official rate, because the government said it is. There is almost no inflation, because the government said food and energy don't count.

Indeed. People know better, though.

The government uses certain formulas to come up with these numbers, but that doesn't mean the economy is great, jobs are plentiful and inflation is nill. Anybody who has been the grocery store lately knows prices are sky high. Anybody who has tried to get a job lately knows what the market is like.

I don't think the numbers matter. The reality very much does and it's all bad for Obama.

Geoff Matthews म्हणाले...

I don't think that there is deliberate fraud, but I do think that the number is misleading. Two thirds of the new jobs are part time, work force participation is at an all-time low. Gallup did come up with a different number (8.1%), and the change was pretty large for a ~1% increase in GDP.
In short, I think that this number isn't accurate, but I'm not ready to declare fraud.

TexasVoter म्हणाले...

I have a family member who is dependent on social security. I remember for several years they received no cost of living adjustment or increase in benefits. Sometimes yes, the government does lie.

I do agree that the Romney campaign is correct in NOT questioning the numbers. Sometimes the Republican base will attach themselves to the wrong thing, like Hannity going on about the race video.

edutcher म्हणाले...

Good point about Gallup as it's usually been higher than what the BS puts out.

One of the few areas where they've stayed out of the tank.

Trashhauler म्हणाले...

They should schedule about five more Presidential debates. By the time they are finished we should reach full employment.

Joe म्हणाले...

I think it was deliberate fraud. Expect the numbers to be sharply revised downward in December or January.

अनामित म्हणाले...

People know their own work situation and that of their friends and relatives. If they haven't seen real signs of life, the numbers won't matter either way. In fact, if they are massaging the numbers, it will work against them as people in CA, for example, get cut off from federal extensions of unemployment.

Christy म्हणाले...

Are voters going to pay more attention to that government number or to the fact that magna cum laude grandson is still flipping burgers at BK and Cousin It cannot find a job at all?

Only Sargent thinks the economy is improving when the second quarter GDP was revised down to 1.3%.

Let's take a look at the quarterly GDP numbers since 2011:
2011 Q1: 0.4%
2011 Q2: 1.3%
2011 Q3: 1.8%
2011 Q4: 3.0%
2012 Q1: 2.0%
2012 Q2: 1.3%

Now I'm not an elite Journo-lister, but I am smart enough to see that GDP growth has dropped each quarter since the 2011 Q4 number. And all of the numbers for 2011 up to Q4 were much lower than the 2010 numbers. The economy has gotten worse, not better.

Fact check on Sargent: 4 Pinocchios, Pants-on-fire, Probably claims to have native American heritage-type of liar.

If all the unemployed stopped look for work, after 4 weeks our unemployment rate would drop to zero.

How the Government Measures Unemployment

Fortunately, there is more than one organization which estimates the number of unemployed. Unfortunately, there is a recent mismatch between the independent surveys. There is, however, a consensus about the quality of jobs created. They are low-skilled and low-knowledge positions. They are mostly transitional or temporary jobs, which are not suitable for building or sustaining a middle class.

Synova म्हणाले...

Stores are starting to hire part time seasonal.

This is not a mystery and if someone has "created" these jobs it's not Obama, it's Jesus Christ by virtue of having been born at Christmas.

Joe Schmoe म्हणाले...

Maybe some of those supposed 873,000 new jobs were a trickle-down effect from all of the Obama fund-raising parties. Lots of catering, booze sales, waitstaff, champagne fountains, high-end rental furniture and decor for Sarah Jessica Parker's fund raiser, clothing sales, etc. Who said Obama's not helping the economy?

Carnifex म्हणाले...

Rick Santelli guaranteed that the unemployment rate would be under 8 percent 3 months ago. He basically said if the BLS had to go out themselves and hire 1,000,000 office boys...can I say boys? or is it racist?... for 2 months, the rate would be down. Now how gullible is Garage? let's find out...
Carnifex: Garage! Hey! Garage! Know the difference between a dick and fried chicken leg?
GM: 9suspicious)Noo...why?
Carnifex: Wanna go on a picnic tomorrow?(snicker, snicker)

Sammy म्हणाले...

I don't know why conservatives are harping about the unemployment numbers 7.8 % , even if everyone knows that they will be revised upward after the election....

It is the same rate as of Januray 2009, so Obama spent tillion's of dollars, the most spending of any one President actually the combined spending OF EVERY PRESIDENT, to bring the employment rate to what it was when he took office... and if you add the the percentage of the working age population who had a job in 2009 but have just given up looking for work the real rate of unemployment is 11% and add people working part because they can't find full time jobs, it's 17% and it's 25million Americans.......

Please Romney Ryan will easily make the argument if more Americans just give up looking for work under the Obama Presidency, Obama will have the unemployment rate back to 5.5 % what it's for the majority of Bush't terms in office.
