The past few days I've been seeing public service spots on TV that show athletes and Obama and Biden saying that hitting a woman once is one too many (brought to you by WH.gov).
So, do you think the election watchd-dogs will see this as a campaign effort? Surely, Obama is reinforcing his message that the Dems care more about women than Republicans.
Do networks running this spot owe the GOP equal time?
I myself feel giddy as a MSM "reporter" meeting Zero for the first time. Why you ask? because I don't listen to Reid, Pelosi, et al. They have nothing I care to hear unless it be "I quit" At least the leftist on Althouse are entertaining. These guys would bore a corpseman stiff(I hope no Sconnie congress critters get excited by that imagery).
Who was that chick who said she didn't know how Nixon won? This reminds me of that, only on a national scale.
We're just to stupid to understand how awesome it is to live on the democratic plantation. No thinking, no responsability. They'll do all that for us. We can be their children. Doesn't that sound nice?
Just put down the mantle of being a mature responsable person. Lay back. Let Zero's coolness enter your soul. Sooth your troubled brow. Moochie will tuck you in to bed at night, after you get your totally non-fat, non-dairy, non- gluten, non-tasting cookie. She'll pat you on the head, and tell you what good little children you are.
I did not know you had a blogspot. I have added you to my favorites list.
Is that one of those hanging from a cable trams? You got more guts than I do. I scuba dive because you can't fall to your death while doing it. The pictures are breath taking. Alas, that is the only way I will see such sights.
On the personal news, my gaping stomach wound is down to a few inches each way(yeah me!) But the string of bad luck is still plaguing the family. My uncle, one of the funniest men I ever knew, had a heart attack and died. While on the computer ironically(in that I am too). My nephew was in 2 car wrecks. One, his fault, one not.(he totaled his truck in the first, but was uninjured. He was hit in the ass end while drving his mom's car) Thank God for air bags.
Deades ago, when my dad and uncle were still fit they were game wardens together. At that time, more than 30 years ago, the game wardens became aware that there were mountain lions in the state of kentucky. The state denied this for 20 more years(they have since admitted that the lions do exist), but I was there when plaster casts were taken of the tracks of a full grown female and a cub(which inplies a daddy somewhere). I was also present when eye witnesses were interviewed. The word was given out that these lions were to be protected at all costs, including loss of human life(If the lions were killed, you had better be dead too, because we're gonna' bury you under Leavenworth)
Anyhoo, dad and my uncle were bow hunting together one day after work. It was late in the afternoon when my dad heard the lion roar in the field across the street from where they were hunting. Then it roared a second and third time.
Now my dad goes everywhere armed with a gun. EVERYWHERE. Except today, because he had been at work. So he thinks to himself "I don't have a gun, and that mountain lion is across the road, and I have to walk towards it to get to my car...mmmm"
So he climbs outta' his treestand and goes over to my uncles trestand.
"Ronnie....Ronnie...did you hear that?" my dad asked quietly. "Yea..." my uncle said,"what was that?" "That was that mountain lion" my dad replied, "I think we need to go while it's still light out." "Yea..."my uncle agreed,"do you have yourgun on you?" "No" said my dad. "Okay" my uncle said, and threw his bow out of his treestand onto the ground. He then, and I am not making this up, hit a total of 3 branches on his way down from his stand. My uncle lit on the ground, scooped up his bow, and started running for the truck.
"Ronnie! Wait for me!" my dad hollered. "Fuck you!" my uncle hollered back as they both ran back to the truck.
Ha Ha! The dummycrats have set up a "Keep the Obamas From Being Homeless in 2013" fund. MMMMM...maybe they ain't dummies! Maybe they know something! Maybe AP can fill us in from his insider position?
The capitol grounds in Bismarck were a great place to play as a kid; we went there in the summer to play frisbee on the huge lawn, and just hang around the cool buildings. The old museum (now the state library) used to be pretty awesome (I liked it a lot better than the Heritage Center they built behind it). The capitol building itself is much cooler inside; very nice art-deco and beautiful wood paneling and marble. From outside it doesn't look like much, but inside it is really something; if you are still there I recommend going inside to get some pics. The tower is just workaday, but the legislative areas are rather beautiful. The original capitol burned down, so ND got a chance at a re-set, at a time when architecture was doing some really good stuff, and I think it came off well. Hope to see pics!
Synova, your pictures are breathtaking. *administers inhalant* There.
But that camera of yours smudged. Ha ha ha. Smudged. Sorry. I meant to say, that's very sad. And I was looking them, all out of breath and everything, and I was thinking, gee, could use contrast. And saturation. And blur fix. So I did. And I shrank them to be reasonable but still be big enough to frame. And I optimized them furtherertherer to be as chintzy as possible but still as awesome as possible and then smashed all that into a zip file for you, which you can have if you email me at boureATcomcast.net then I will send you the zip with all of your options, no smudge fix, content aware smudge fix, my specialized acutely critical super duper personal touch smudge fix.
Mike here showed me how to do that so it's his fault.
The special someone is no fix possible except show detail hiding in shadow of visor, but then when I did and saw what a horrible mess the reconstruction surgeon did I backed off and put the eyes back into shadow where they belong. kidding.
I didn't hear Harry Reid either, nor Pelosi. And that's always a good day. But I did read that Harry Reid said the Tea Party activists are hardened and uncompromising and they are taking over the Republican Party and everyone should be very afraid. And I thought, you know that Harry is right on all counts.
Here in Denver, on the Spanish stations, the Obama team is kicking the shit out of Romney's team. Their ads in Spanish are excellent. They do not lie, they do not exaggerate, they use Romney's own words switching to English, "I will repeal Obamacare on day one." and "if I were president, yes, I would veto the Dream Act."
Now you may say, "Hey, that's pandering." And it is, they're pandering like m.f.ers, to pull something extraconstitutional then point to it while addressing the benefactors of that pandering who could likely not really appreciate the objection to its extraconstitutionality, which apparently is not a word, while Romney team is completely silent in Spanish, that I can see so far.
Lindsey still struggles to be witty. but it's a tough struggle for her. It's like watching a team of toy poodles competing in the Iditarod. One feels great pity.

I've often thought that if I were really rolling in the long green, I'd like to commission an exact copy of that fountain/statue group of playing children that Vassili Zaitsev was hiding in at the beginning of "Enemy at the Gates" and then donate it to some local park.

That could be the most frightening sculpture I have ever seen. Surreal.
Vacant stares, walking into uncertainty without a care in the world, near-zombies; Obama voters, for sure.
So appropriate for the first day of school.
La-la-la. It was a tiptoe through the tulips.
and here's an article about my great-great-great granddaughter...

Liberals make me vomitous.
That's me in the background: Tourist-to-the-past. Walking boldly toward the past. Anywhere just to get away from those freaks.
Come on, North Dakota, you've got the rest of the Union to help you along.

Kidding. Nice pics. Tell awesome guy i said to shave his whiskers and he might get more kisses from you.

This title works no matter what the photo is:
Hey, Dummy: Somebody Cue The Sanford & Son Theme
Shooting at a Convention like event in Canada.
Come my tan-faced children...lol! Oh, pioneers. You so craz-ay.
She needs to show off her arms a bit more.
Those statues look like bad CGI.

I'm following Synova's blog once I get on a computer. Fresh voice. More please. The add button on my dashboard doesn't work on the iPad1.
Meade appears much more animated than I had imagined....
omg sorry meade...i had no idea your doppelganger was in the background.
it's Dick and Jane on meth.
Well, they're not as scary as the Enzyte guy.
PS If you're basing your convention (and campaign) on defending women, what would possess you to run a movie about the Chap Of Quiddick?

Getting back to that photo - could the boy appear any more un-manly??? Jeeze louise.
More Huck Finn's and fewer Doogie Howsers, please.
You really really wouldn't like the world, if it was populated with those types depicted in the statues.
Kenyon College has an even more asinine statue group consisting of dancing zombies on pedestals. Might say something about their students.

A wit by half, sir!

Synova: Your pictures are beautiful.
Well, the patina was a dead giveaway.
Frankly speaking, I thought it was pretty clever.
Oh ye humorless folk.
Does the girl look that much like Hillary Clinton in real life?

I found a few fossils too, crinoids of course.
Exactly what I thought too!
