Enlarged photo shows "Welcome to the Sunset Cafe."

Too many Sunset Cafes to hazard a guess at which one though.

Everywhere in America.

I noticed Ann was getting a little cranky, so Meade took her out for a spin across America.

Have fun, you crazy kids.

You realize that kechup bottle label was designed by Teresa as tribute to her husband.

I only found this blog shortly before you were hitched, Professor, so I don't know -- did you take trips like this before you got married to Meade? If not, then he's done a great job exposing you to the real United States.

@Big Mike I've done many cross-country road trips, and it's been my style to photograph signs like this and Americana of this kind.

Being with Meade does make a difference though in that I feel I have a bodyguard and I'm more willing to go places where I might feel a bit afraid or self-conscious... not that I think places like this are likely to be dangerous, but as a woman traveling alone I erred on the side of caution.

"Thank you veterans" on the Heinz ketchup bottle! I'm surprised someone hasn't tried to stop this. Or more likely they would have if they'd seen it but they haven't since that kind of person doesn't visit places like Yellowstone anyway.
