I had one with "Hey" in the subject line, doesn't most spam start off their e-mails as such. I don't even read them anymore.
Why doesn't he say, "I've been outraised by my opponent"? Because that would make him seem even smaller.
totes inappropes
You could distill whatevs down to wev.
Over the past two months, we have been outraised by our opponents...
He should have been less transitive and stated: "Over the past two months, we have been out risen by our opponents"....or would that be too risible?
Considering Obama raised almost a billion dollars in 2008, this certainly doesn't bode well if a lackluster bully/wuss is able to raise more than him.
I have to seriously consider that the polls aren't as neck and neck as they seem to be.
Begging.
Very bad form.
You should reply, "So what?".
Separating the text with slashes made me think the original email was a poem, and boy did I blush when it got to "bigger."
"Sometimes politics can seem very small.
But the choice voters face in this election couldn't be bigger.
Mitt Romney may have visited the Western Wall,
But I'm still the most electable n--"
A needle pulling thread?
The White House staff is going to be prying the "R"s off the keyboards next January.
Wow Coketown, wow.
Remember when President Obama was going to raise a record amount of money, and that was going to prove how popular he is and how unbeatable?
Now, somehow, raising a lot of money proves Mitt Romney is dangerous.
So the decisions are vital and the election is vital....but no risk of cheating or voter fraud occurring? Doesn't seem to mesh here.
If it was important as they claim, cheating would be EXPECTED.
Maybe people are realizing that they have had a very bad ROI [return on investment] with their previous donations to the Obama administration.
Rational investors, look at the ROI and make decisions based on the known variables in the investment. Yes. We know that past performance is not a guarantee of future performance.
However, in this case, since there appears to be no change in management style, past history of mismanagement of financial assets, loss of connections with affiliated industries (bad diplomacy) and a lack of appreciable greater market participation in the future: a rational investor will weigh the past factors against potential future performance and conclude that this investment is a loser, and will invest elsewhere were the chance of a better ROI is possible.
:-D
So glad I don't do this investment advising and research anymore for a living...but that was sort of fun.
Quick, get dose a fainting couch
From that email:
"Tonight is one of the most critical fundraising deadlines we’ll face."
I went to the Obama campaign website and found multiple references to today's critical deadline. Seems to be important.
Actually it's just the end of the month and the only deadline is that the contributions will be listed in the July FEC report.
Lying gets easier with practice.
invest elsewhere, WHERE the chance of a better ROI is possible.
Gaah typos
He's a nasty little man.
Haha, you guys should see some of the emails I get. I loved Obama's convention speech (well before he was a presidential candidate) so when he announced I donated.
Now, some days, I'll get like 10 emails.
Thank you for being in the first 10,000 supporters.
Thank you for being the first 100,000 supporters.
Etc.
But, I don't know why we are acting shocked. Most campaign fundraising emails are like this - Scott Walker's were. (Someone at work thought it would be funny to get me on that mailing list)
...how petty the POTUS is?
Petty POTUS picked a peck of pickle pepper;
A peck of pickled peppers did petty POTUS pick.
If petty POTUS picked a peck of pickle pepper,
Where’s the pickle peppers petty POTUS picked?
Swallowed up by Government Motors and other bailouts with nary a thing to show.

Wow Coketown, wow."
coketown is one of my favorite commenters, and I love his new "If you are going to insist on calling me a racist I might as well become one" attitude.

Would I create a paradox in the fabric of the universe by calling him a liberal then?
Choom is no better than the other sorry fucks with a card board sign written in crayon asking you for your money in the island of an intersection.
Urgent!!! I need your wedding gifts, your bar mitzvah gifts, your little tykes' birthday gifts to pay for my wife's $6800 jacket to go to London to see the Queen. Frankly, I think she has been had, the jacket is ugly, almost as ugly as the one she wore last year to visit the Queen's daughter-in-law. That costed thousands too. Boy, things cost a lot of dough. Mind you, it's not really your money I'm talking about, it's someone else's money gifted to you, the money that you don't deserve. You know, somebody made your gifts happen. So you must help me out here. Or else ...
By the way, there will be civil disorder rallies in swing states. Our people will protest in rich folks' enclaves to prevent them from hoarding power. Our drones are ready, and our Justice Dept will monitor the gun clingers' responses.
Take care, until next email.
We must raise a pile of cash
And do so with rigor
And if that's not enough then we'll apply much more vigor
I will do these great deeds
on a horse named Trigger
Let's have a stiff drink
an ounce or a jigger
Like Theodore Roosevelt
smoking a cee-ger.
okay maybe not that last one
Im going to vote for Mr Obama over Mr Romney, but seeing the whining about money in politics coming from the first politician in modern American history who forwent public spending limits and the public campaign funds that came with it, is a little too much.
Soooo Althouse, how much $$$ did you donate to Obama's campaign in '08 before you voted for him?
Just a ballpark figure will suffice! :-P
take care
La Pasionaria, kudos to you for your intellectual honesty. I respect that. No matter whom you vote for.
So, um, like, I wondering if you could lend me a few bucks? You know, just until after the election. Havin' a little, ha ha, cash flow problem lately. Oh, don't worry - I'll have a lot more, um, "flexibility" after I'm re-elected...
"Soooo Althouse, how much $$$ did you donate to Obama's campaign in '08 before you voted for him?"
I have never given any money to a presidential candidate. Not once in my whole life.
I haven't made a political contribution since the early 90s maybe.
I think I once gave a friend of a friend $25 in a school district race. Possibly twice. Other than that, I've made 3 contributions: 1 to Russ Feingold the first time he ran for office (because he called me personally at least 3 times and it was getting awkward), 1 the second time Russ ran, and once to Jon Erpenbach when he was running the first time for the state legislature, because Russ asked.
I also gave money to EMILYS list a couple time, I think around 1990, when it first started. It was a feminist thing, I thought at the time.
On Conan - New Obama and Biden campaign slogans. Remember when comedians didn't make fun of Obama?
There's an earlier one of Obama and Romney slogans. Do you think they are mocked equally?
I have never given any money to a presidential candidate. Not once in my whole life
Don't start now. The phone calls, emails and junk mail will NEVER stop. Thank GOD for caller ID so we can ignore the solicitors. They are relentless!!!
Lately, when we are bored and have had a couple of cocktails in the evening, we have taken to deliberatly try to torment them. See how long you can string them along and argue with all of their points. Dispute their talking points. Sometimes they hang up on us if not..we then tell them that they are the XX number of caller that we have told to "STOP FUCKING CALLING US!!!!
Actual letter sent to the Romney campaign, for all the fat chance that it will have any effect.
We are thinking of sending back all of our other junk mail in their return envelopes.
Repeating, donated $75 to Obama in '08. My only political donation ever and what a ROI ie Sotomayor/Kagan and Obama driving Althouse cons batshitcrazy 24/7!
Maybe I'll go for $100 in '12. :)

btw, the reason liberal billionaires aren't donating to Obama like the koch boys et al con billionaires are donating to mittens is they feel there's no way Romney wins regardless.
They're reasoning is looking pretty good so far, eh re train wreck mittens!

Perhaps, but the desperation in Obama's pleading for more money would strongly indicate he doesn't share such sentiment.
Ironically it would then appear that liberal billionaires aren't paying their fair share to Obama's re-election campaign leaving the poor liberal schlubs to pony up even more.
I got the same email. Before that, I got one with a subject line of "Hey." If present trends continue, the next subject line will be "I."
Did you send him back an email saying that he was not a natural born Citizen (born a British subject of a British subject father), and not eligible, by the authority of a "law prof" (giggle).
Shiloh,
the reason liberal billionaires aren't donating to Obama like the koch boys et al con billionaires are donating to mittens
Do you have any evidence to back up this claim? And are you forgetting that Soros is backing Obama, pledging $3,000,000 all ready and working with others to inject $100,000,000 into Obama's limp campaign?
Ken said...Do you have any evidence to back up this claim?
You're joking, right? That was Shiloh you were addressing there. 51 cards shy...or more.
I just got email from Michelle, subject: "I'm asking you" Creepy. Do they have any idea how ridiculous these faux folksy emails are? Or is that how they really think? What's next? I'm tellin you!
I've never written to a friend with the subject: Hey. Why would a President do that?
Politics aside, the writing is atrocious.
Once again demonstrates the lack of principles on the left. If Romney "outraises" Obama, then oh noes! fat catz and deep pokkits buying teh eleckshun! If Obama outraises Romney, then it shows how much the proletarian masses support the One and his Cause.
The left in a sentence: Heads I win, tails you lose.
