Top 100 political best sellers.

100 that you have to pay for, plus 100 that are free as ebooks. (The #1 free political ebook is "The Communust Manifesto." I just downloaded one of the top free ones, but not that one. If you need a Kindle to read ebooks, you can get one here. Actually, I usually read my ebooks using the Kindle app on my iPad... which is something you can buy here.)

And please buy whatever you want through the official Althouse blog Amazon portal

That pesky bible is the political best seller that the beautiful people can't get rid of no matter how hard they try.

I am amused that Rand does not appear.

I can't imagine a less inspiring or interesting read than communist ideology. It's equivalent to books on homeopathy, or how to get rich in 2 hours a day from home, but the market is huge for all that, and many of those readers are voters. Explains a lot.

I don't buy through the Althouse or the Instapundit portals, since I don't buy that it's free.

It spreads straw over a gigantic camel's back.

It doesn't break the camel's back, but the camel works a lot slower, and it starts issuing debt that it can't repay.

Derrida's Specters of Marx is good.

I wonder if we downloaded the same book.
It's interesting to read down the list. Conservatives seem to either write more books or more popular books than liberals. Certainly the most current books are conservative. I buy through Althouse or Instapundit as often as possible. It may or may not be at no cost to me, but it's advertising dollars that I'd pay for anyway, and I think it's a good idea to support financially the things I support politically.

The free menu has many more interesting books than the other side.

The reason that you can't cheat an honest man is that he's not interested.

Not so for women.

I'm pretty excited about #100 in free:

"Animal Sanctuaries in Labrador An Address Presented by Lt.-Colonel William Wood, F.R.S.C. before the Second Annual Meeting of the Commission of Conservation at Quebec, January, 1911"

What could possibly be #101?

Mein Kampf should be on the list but isn't - it's listed under Biographies instead.

It was free back when I got it - now $9.99 (Ford Translation)

Has anybody read any of the Rubio from Cubio books? Is he going to be VP? Couldn't it just be Sarah Palin again? She wrote books. What about Rick Santorum? His book It Takes a Family isn't too bad. Huckabee has some books. Should the quality of the book determine the next VP? The relative intelligence? What?
