He intends to lose 16+ pounds but also to constitute "a metaphor of the current inflated era which should lose some weight." He says: "In this materialistic age, in the era of pleasure-seeking and greed, all things are inflated infinitely, slowly lose the beautiful and clear origins."
His performance will appear on line via web cam, and he will not leave the scale even to go to the bathroom. I suppose that too is a metaphor, but it's hard to say what it represents.

Is this New Age bullshit, or just mainstream bullshit? Does it matter? Is any worse than the economic bullshit that is leading us to the edge of that cliff? Why are we so inundated with bullshit?
I appreciate the metaphor and all, but it's gonna get ugly.
And keep in mind this is Red China this is happening in, supposedly the ones who are going to take over.
I can't help but think of yesterday's post about the North Korean.
Sounds like someone who ran out of ideas.
Next up: online porn as art.
online porn as art.
Didn't Koons do this already when he was married to the porn star?
I don't believe he will stand continually on the scale for a month. I'm an art denialist!
"I'm an art denialist!"
I can't remember, who is secretly bankrolling the art denialist movement with the big bucks? Make sure you get yours.
I'm getting my .007 digit income from the Koch brothers!
Ugly thought, but doesn't waste weigh something?
With his weight permanently displayed on the monitor, a web-cam will live-stream his project online where he will interact with the public and won't even leave the scale for food or bathroom breaks.
That's one "scale that will fall from my eyes". Acts 9:18
When he regains the weight, as he inevitably will, will that make him a capitalist running dog? Well, will it? I lack the will to reign in the will to write will. Oh well.
I hate performance art.
Hey, ev'rybody Wang Jun tonight!
Is he actually standing on a scale (as in maintaining a constant vertical position solely under his own power) or just staying on a scale?
His performance will appear on line via web cam, and he will not leave the scale even to go to the bathroom. I suppose that too is a metaphor, but it's hard to say what it represents.
That's no gonna be pleasant.
I can't help but think of yesterday's post about the North Korean.
Amen.
It means some self-identifying "artists" think that any kind of shit is art.
(Maybe most of them.)
