I look at the far Left’s assault on Wisconsin and I say, “Are you kidding?” As an outsider (albeit an admitted Green Bay fan with family roots in Chippewa Falls), I join millions of Americans watching the political shenanigans in Wisconsin. I am torn between just chuckling at these radical liberal yahoos trying to oust an intelligent administration that is fulfilling its promises, or raising a fist in disgust at people sitting on their thumbs while Governor Walker and Lt. Governor Kleefisch get thrown to the wolves....

Yes it should be an interesting Rorschach test to distinguish local PDS suffrers from the national types.
Her Facebook ghost writer must be back in town.
She has signaled the Tea Party to get all dressed up like Indians again.
Whatever you opinion of Palin, she gets the troops motivated. She is the opposite of Mitt Romney in that skill.
What could we do to use them both in the coming days?
No Mrs Nice Governor, I like the line, "She’s being thrown beyond the wolf pack – she’s also under the GOP establishment’s bus because this Tea Party “Mama Grizzly” beat the establishment candidate when she got elected".
And I like that she's linked to Kleefish's web site.
And when the trolls show up, that special bit of vitriol reserved only for her is because Mrs Palin is as responsible for getting ZeroCare up before SCOTUS as anyone and more than most.
Are you of the Boston Palins?
No, the Chippewa Falls Palins.
Ah, yes.
"While Democratic femme-a-gogues continue their plaintive wailing about a “war on women,” Kleefisch has battled vile misogyny from liberal detractors. When lefty Wisconsin radio host John “Sly” Sylvester accused Kleefisch of performing “fellatio on all the talk-show hosts in Milwaukee” and sneered that she had “pulled a train” (a crude phrase for gang sex), feminists remained silent."
You stay classy, Madison.
They won't be thrown to the wolves if they win the recall election. The people will decide on the merits of this administration. If he's worth keeping, he'll win.
Yes, yes I know they won the election, don't like recalls? Change the state constitution.
Crawling back under the bridge.
Palin fights like a girl.
The DOJ s pulling a Palin on Nikki Haley. Any pubbie running for any office better be pristine or they'll be hounded out of office if they dare to win.
"Palin fights like a girl."
mama grizzly is the only female governor to quit her job half way through, so fights is a misnomer.
You bet'cha!
Garage Mahal used to be into the fisting thing around her
It's fishing chickypoo. And I'm damn good at it. I was just telling somebody about what Buys Ballot Law is today.
If you were on the ocean, would you know what that is? No googling!
[Hint: it has nothing to do with fishing. Well, if you were fishing, yes].

She's fighting now and little Lefty pussies like bathtub swabbie don't want to address the fact that she was being bled white by the frivolous lawsuits thrown at her by the gutless Lefties.
But calling her a quitter, which is all they've got (and it ain't much) doesn't alter the fact that she galvanized the ZeroCare debate with two words, "death panels", and, when the Demos go down this Fall, no one will have had more to do with it than she did.
YOU BETCHA!!!!
shiloh -
Whatev. Keep letting other people do your thinking for you. When you have $500,000 of personal legal expenses because a-holes file frivolous lawsuits against you (BTW, they were ALL dismissed...) maybe YOU can quit, too!
I was unaware Palin had roots in Chippewa Falls.
I have family roots in Waukesha, Sussex, Hartland and Milwaukee.
Relevance? Zero.
"I join millions of Americans watching the political shenanigans in Wisconsin....
If I lived there, I would find that pretty embarrassing. For a long while there last year it was like everyone in the state let their crazy aunts and uncles get loose and roam around Madison unsupervised, unmedicated and dressed by by carnies.
You should corral them out here toward CA where their friends run the asylum. Madison is like a baby California with more cheese and less weed. I had no idea that cheese was such a powerful hallucinogen.
I agree with Palin, and because of a Walker letter we got today, we're donating to his reelection. (MN)
When Scott Walker got rid of collective bargaining for public service unions it became possible for towns and counties to balance their budgets because these three things became possible: 1. Requiring public employees to pay toward their pensions and health care 2. Rebidding contracts, above all for health care but also for school lunches, school buses, snow removal and so on. 3. Getting rid of pointless regulations which prevented efficient use of personnel. For instance, older people on pensions could help keep services going. And then the budget could be balanced. Follow the Wisconsin way and balance your budget. SCOTT WALKER FOR PRESIDENT
Blue cheese gone bad, it packs a kick, favorite of the Wisconsin subculture.
Please, let the conservative palin whining continue.
Cry me a river ...
One wonders if Walker would prefer mama grizzly stay far away from WI.
Hell, I might even vote there.
I understand that loosey-goosey voting rules are Wisconsin tradition.
No ID?
No problem!
Over 900,000 valid sigs verified by the GAB today, only 30k were tossed. Nearly 8k because of those for incomplete address, and 4k because the circulator dated incorrectly. Including those, it turned out to be 3% bad sigs. Only 5 fictitious names were recorded.
The "I signed 80 times!" dude never showed.
So basically what I said at the time, the whole ominous "Mickey Mouse Hitler signing!!!!" was all bullshit.
I do think Palin is having a great time now getting the last laugh. Her life is a perfect example what a winner does: pick your battles, let the blows glance off, keep moving on the target, and hold your values tight. Of all the candidates who ran in 2008, she has had come out best after it all. Some have faded away, some have gone down in flames, some have just proven ineffective or worse, few are enjoying life (including the political) at this point like I think she is.

But I thought the left was blowing their wad over the "ONE MILLION SIGNATURES"!!!!???
So, along with the 3% of "bad sigs", about 100K sigs that the recall people claimed they have they...well, didnt have.
Meanwhile, the left hates being reminded that Walker got over 1.1 million votes in Nov. 2010.
This recall election is going to go down as one of the biggest jokes in the history of this state, and it costs us taxpayers north of $10 million.
Think this will hit 200 comments by the end of the day?o

The Left is pouring untold amounts of money into this state - meaning creating jobs. Keep it going.

Here is a scan of Mickey Mouse signing a recall petition.
"Blue cheese gone bad, it packs a kick, favorite of the Wisconsin subculture."
From here it looks like Madison is all subculture, except for lonely Meade playing the role of Road Warrior.
There is something similar about Meadehouse and the Palins. I can't put my finger on it, but it's a very good thing.
Hi Allie
Valid signatures: 584,489.
Not 900,000.
Say, where can a guy get some of them there absentee ballots? Like a few hundred or so?
Maybe I can call the Franken offices in St. Paul.
Hi Bagoh, I don't often eat that cheese, I stick with the curds.
Madison is really a great city, beautiful, yes quirky as most college towns are especially if they happen to be the Capitol too. Will be there for a special wedding this fall, my daughter's. See? Madison residents still believe in traditional values. Her florist is a hippy, well known in Madison.
May the best candidate win in the recall election.
leslyn: The Gov of Alaska (which isn't all that hard to govern, seeing as the state gets to write oil profit checks to every resident, plus hardly anyone lives there),
Do you listen to yourself? On what authority do you claim that Alaska "isn't all that hard to govern"? Were you maybe Mayor of your SimCity? Geez.
can't stay in her seat to finish a term...be lauded from the sidelines than do some actual work.
We've been over this. She resigned for the good of the people - because Democrats were using a hole in the ethics laws to hamstring and sabotage her administration.
But its interesting that you need to lie about what your side did.
Never forget, when bathtub swabbie speaks,
Conservatives whining = telling the truth.

The Gov of Alaska (which isn't all that hard to govern, seeing as the state gets to write oil profit checks to every resident, plus hardly anyone lives there), can't stay in her seat to finish a term. That didn't sit well with people, and she would have to deal with that in any campaign for office. She saw what politics is like, and would rather be lauded from the sidelines than do some actual work. Plus she can pick her forums so she doesn't have to whine that people are mean to her.
AK is one of the few strong Governor states in the country, so clearly, Leslyn doesn't know what she's talking about (surprise!!) and Miss Sarah ran it well enough to catch the attention of the national media and the Republican Party.
Considering she brought in all the undecideds to the Republican campaign in '08 and galvanized the opposition to ZeroCare, she's obviously smart enough to scare the Lefties.
Leslyn usually doesn't come out into the light this early, so she's the last of the trolls to try their hand at the mess that is the Left tonight. And all she can do is say, "Quitter", and "Palin is dumb", when she clearly has the Lefties wrapped around her little finger.
Crawl back under the floorboards. Your side is goin' down.
The best candidate was already elected once.
This is just expensive pouting from the entitled left.
garage mahal,
I was just telling somebody about what Buys Ballot Law is today.
If you were on the ocean, would you know what that is? No googling!
Buys Ballots Law states that Democrats wins elections when they buys enough ballots.
OK, I think I got it - the the thing about Meadehouse and the Palins:
Both wonderfully matched couples, that epitomize mutual love and support, but the one word that fits best is "decency".
For me that's high praise, but if it's not for you, consider the alternative, which I guess could be fun too.
Would much rather listen to whining about a recall than boasting about drowning someone or something in a bathtub.
I'm in NJ.. Can I vote for Walker?
Its not like I have a Tweeter account calling for someones death.
I just want to vote for Walker..
Its not like I'm making a secret deal with the Russians to sell out an allie.
I just want to vote for Walker..
Its not like I cant tell the Supremes weather a penalty is a tax or a tax is a penalty.. because nobody can.. still
I just cannot vote for Walker.. alas.
It is that it would be illegal..
It is that to call for the death of another citizen is incitement.. at the very least.
It is that our president should not arrogantly presume to know how people are going to vote.. least to make foreing deals based on it.
It is the old saying, that if it quacks, its a tax. and calling it a penalty will not change the fact that it is a tax.
So, while I will not be voting for Walker, I most solicitously ask those of you who can.. as they say in Chicago, please do so early and often ;)
leslyn opines: ""But calling her a quitter, which is all they've got (and it ain't much)...."
Pshaw. It's a big deal.
She just MAY be smart enough to realize that she's too dumb for the big leagues. Which would be a lot of insight, so that's a toss up.
Palin: "...raising a fist in disgust at people sitting on their their thumbs..." Go back to Alaska where you can try to finish a real job.
I take back my comment about insight. The obvious irony has eluded her."
You obviously know nothing about Alaska law which was changed after the Palin situation became obvious.
You are also an obvious expert on Alaska governance. Where is "spring breakup this year?
I do appreciate Ann setting up this site to expose the idiots.
Recall WEAC : New billboard going up on the Beltline at Rimrock Road tomorrow. Should be loads of fun for the lefties in Madison to try to deface.
Pogo-
The extra ballots are in the trunk of a Prius located outside of the Democratic headquarters...look for the one with the "Hope" & "Coexist" bumber stickers on it (not that that really narrows it down)
Don't forget the WI Democrat war chant: "It's not over until we whine."
I'm not going to beg now.. but I'm asking people to vote for Walker..
If you dont want to do right baby.. then get on away from me.
Valid signatures: 584,489.
Not 900,000.
584489 plus whatever number of signatures that were on the undetermined number of recall petitions they were unable to access.
Let's just ignore that 200+K that are in a special category too.

"They" being a Tea Party website. The GAB found over 900,000. Who would you believe?
That metaphor is all thumbs. If she feels disgust, she should give the middle finger at people sitting on their hands. Or she could point her finger at people who won't get their hands dirty. Perhaps, in exhortation, she should clap her hands at people whose hands are in their pockets. I can only shrug my shoulders.
Sarah Palin is like Obi-Won Kenobi. "If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful then you can possibly imagine". I detect a faint blue halo around Palin these days...
Wow, those are impressive numbers, Garage. GAB has no agenda.
I always lulz@Charles Blow, because his last name is so ripe for puns. Yeah I know it's not NICE to make fun of someone's name, but I make a special exception in the case of race hustlers.
Allie - sure they don't.
/sarc
Yeah, no agenda with GAB.
Heh. That's good.
Alex, when they rule in favor of Republicans, then they have no agenda? Can't have it both ways.
Now here's a story ripe for Palin's Facebook-Fu skills:
Parents of murdered British students criticise Barack Obama
So black criminal youths gunned down are to be personally mentioned and lamented by Obama, but white men don't exist.
"JUST AS PRIESTS go to confession,
and presidents to the polls, and
distinguished men of letters to the
critics, just so, the professors ought
to turn to the American people for
an occasional report card. As a lay -
man, one of the signatures on the
report card will be mine. For those
professors who have dealt with issues
of immediate and vital interest to
the welfare and integrity of the
United States, I vote a resounding
flunk." --- William F. Buckley Jr.
"The last 'page' I weighed on gained 30lbs... in 9 months!"
Ted Kennedy not joking about leaving MK breathless.
leslyn said: forgive my ignorance, but what's a "strong Governor state?"
You weigh in with "Alaska is easy to govern" and you don't know the difference between a strong and weak Governor state? Seriously?
You're the Monday Morning Quarterback who doesn't even know what a post route is.
Sit at the end of the bar and mumble to yourself.
Alaska (which isn't all that hard to govern, seeing as the state gets to write oil profit checks to every resident, plus hardly anyone lives there)
Very stupid thing to say. Alaska has about the same population as Virginia (by far the most populous state at the time) did in 1790 — and that scattered across an area one-fifth the size of all the rest of today's states put together, with only a fraction of it accessible by roads, and subject to an extremely severe climate. Nor does the annual dividend of a bit more than $1,000 per resident leave everybody wallowing in money. It's a hard life there.
The GAB found over 900,000. Who would you believe?
Thanks for the chuckle.
"leslyn said...
--Oops, nope, one more thing, to wildswan about how Walker's budget is good for counties and towns:"
If you read the article every town in question has not had to cut services. This represents the overall effect of the Walker budget:
"But it has meant trying to provide the same services with less money"
OMGF! Towns have be efficient and taxpayers money wisely! THE FUCKING HORROR!
Let's just ignore that 200+K that are in a special category too.
212,628 ***
Told ya
Why are you comparing to Virginia in 1790? This isn't 1790.
Despite your modern-day provincialism, nearly three-quarters of a million people wasn't “hardly anyone” then, and it isn't “hardly anyone” now. It (actually less than that) was sufficient for Virginia — in combination with several other even (much) less populous states — to defeat the greatest empire in the world, and it was sufficiently cultured and civilized for them to create the Constitution and nation of the United States.
The populous areas of Alaska have a climate that is less harsh than Northern Wisconsin's. The climate in Juneau and the southeast panhandle is best described as “a cooler version of eattle.”
You're conflating very different areas of the state. The southeast is mild — but the southeast is a) a tiny proportion of the state area-wise, and b) it does not constitute the bulk of population of the state, which resides in the Anchorage area where there's a far more severe climate. The capital doesn't even have access to the rest of the state by road — it's 600 air miles from there to Anchorage.
And anyway, why are we talking about climate?
The point is that Alaska is a difficult and varied state, with many difficult and varied problems which the government (and governor) must address. In addition to having to cope with temperatures down to -80 deg. F., for instance, it's in a highly tectonically active region, with numerous active volcanoes, tsunamis, and earthquakes. The worst earthquake in U.S. history — a magnitude 9.2 monster (larger than last year's killer quake in Japan) — occurred in the vicinity of Anchorage in 1964. Before then it wasn't even known that there were earthquakes as large as magnitude 9 — none had ever been seen before.
In another for instance, Governor Palin personally achieved the politically very difficult agreement with Canada and oil companies for a $26 billion, 1,715-mile natural gas pipeline from Alaska's north slope through Canada to Calgary.
Being governor of Alaska can be a piece of cake….”
The map of Alaska were it superimposed on the continental U.S. would stretch from Los Angeles in the southwest to Charleston, South Carolina, in the southeast to the Canadian border in the north. It's absurd to claim that such a vast, disparate state is easy to administer.
What would be “a piece of cake” to administer is, say, tiny, flat, three-county Delaware, 96 miles long and 35 miles wide, from whence the Vice President of the United States hails. Though, formerly being purely a legislator, Biden had no executive experience at all prior to being elected VP — and of course President Obama had none either. That's what's ludicrous, not Gov. Palin's experience in this regard.
What is the relevance of Sarah Palin commenting on Wisconsin politics?
Oh, yes, more Palinology please!
After all, who is more qualified to weigh in on the Walker recall than someone who quit as governor half way through her first & only term in state office?
Reality TeeVee stars as political pundits = WINNING. Why is America being deprived of Snooki's sage observations on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? Lamestream Media, indeed!
It's funny, because Walker said repeatedly that he'd use collective bargaining to resolve the state's disputes with unions - you know, the same collective bargaining he then arbitrarily did away with? Yeah, THAT collective bargaining.
He'd've gotten away with it too, if not for that meddling videotape. Damn you, far left videotape! DAMN YOU TO HELL!
