"2 men who had been at odds in an earlier video are now having a friendly chat, as 2 and then 3 women sing "Solidarity Forever," and then it's back to loud chant — 'Si Se Puede.'"
And: "[D]oes anyone have a good voice? Can anyone get the national anthem started? And if everyone sings the national anthem, will anyone sing the state song?"

Losing makes strange bedfellows, it would seem.
I say this figuratively.
So Hatman doesn't take it the wrong way.
I won't say anything about solidary if you don't.
Solitary solidarity.
One year later this Rasmussen Poll finds that Governor Scott Walker has an eleven point lead among independent voters.
Walker will win. Big time.
And there's this: Wisconsin labor unions now support the Republican-sponsored mining bill that the Democrats oppose.
Another Walker victory!
You must be proud of the Wisconsin job creation record over the same period too...it's working!

Well, sort of. We'll see if it moves Schultz or any of the Dems in big union districts. But in the end they will still support the Democrat in recall. Because the unions don't really give a rat's ass about the workers they represent. There is no shortage of evidence of that.
Sen Schultz did everything but endorse Kathleen Falk yesterday. Too funny.

Labor union members (non-government employees) are holding a rally in Madison at noon today in support of the minimg bill.
The private sector unions WANT the mine.

This is Wisconsin. We don't want any private sector development. Well, maybe the occasional Whole Foods or Trader Joe's... but nothing beyond that.
Solidarity!
I think a great big mine is a great idea. Let's start in Waukesha County.
Can we just convert those evil Milwaukee corporations manufacturing mining equipment into shelters for the homeless or maybe aqua-farm co-ops? Maybe the state can confiscate all undeveloped and create one big state park. After all, teachers need more nice places to visit on their summers off.

Since iron mines have ruined both Michigan and Minnesota, who in their right mind would allow a travesty like this in Wisconsin?
And since it no longer makes sense for us to be called "badgers", let's come up with a new, more enlightened, state mascot. How about the Wisconsin public employee? I can hear the shouts of "Go SEIUers!" now.
Solidarity!
Garage - there are several open pit mines in Waukesha County. Perhaps you can see them on Google Earth.
