"I’m tired of being accused of being anti-American... They call it class warfare... if anything, it’s warfare against people who have no class..."

Says Van Jones, "the former Obama Administration green czar who resigned in controversy, [who] appears on the fast track to a political comeback — emerging as a star at this weekend’s California Democratic convention and lauded by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi as a 'leader of the future.'"
[Jones] argued that under-30 voters critical to Democratic successes in 2012 will find appealing “the idea that the people that already climbed that ladder (of success) will give something back.”...

Jones apologized for some of his actions, including signing a petition for 911Truth.org which appeared to suggest the Bush Administration “may indeed deliberately have allowed 9/11 to happen.”

Only the delusional Democratic party would point to a ex-con, anti-american, socialist, truther, as a "leader of the future". I'm guessing because Che is dead, and it won't be too long for Fidel, and Hugo.

This is what comes from allowing felons to vote.

The reason Jones is gone from the Obama administration is that he was costing them support. Keep it up Nancy (or as Ace amusingly calls her, "Granny McRictus Botox"). Cost the Dems some more support.

SFGate is the SF Chronicle's website. The SF Chronicle has lost an higher % of its subscribers in the last ten years than any other BIG market paper. I think they lost more than 50%. This article shows why they turn off paying customers.

Also, when did Van Jones ever apologize for signing the 911 petition? I thought he claimed it was not his signature?

Usually you would say "I love this country" right after you say I am tired of being accused of being anti-American. But I note Jones did not. And I remember Hillary didn't either after her famous shriek whining about being called un-American.

Jones is this generations version of Al Sharpton. Only Al actually produced dead people with his vitriol. Van hasn't done that yet...as far as I know. But, he's just a basic scamming con-man, making the most out of nothing. He's a throwback to a 60s classroom socialist. Which, come to think of it, is precisely the background of a certain Head of State.

This is a man who decided to become a Communist after the fall of the Soviet Union. So much for looking at something obvious and missing the meaning entirely. History is not a strong suit of this generation.
This is a man who parades around as an "Environmental Advocate"....whatever that is. (Hey...I like clean water. I guess that makes me an advocate). He's been a part of "causes" that one has to have to gain cred among progressives. I produced a CD for Mumia Abu Jamal. I think Israel should never have existed and needs to go away. I look at OWS as the start of the American Autumn...and I think that's a good thing. Basic stuff, but one needs to have it on their resume to get elected in Pelosi's district these days, or...to get a job in our government, or at a bastion of higher learning...such as UW-Madison.

What bothers me is that such light thinkers, spewing out basic pap, get any traction at all. Let alone praise from some circles. Van is a hack. Perfect Democrat candidate. And by that I'm not propping up Republicans, but hell...you're just not going to see a Republican say....I like Communism. It's shows such a disconnect from reality. In Communism, Van would be among the first taken out back and shot. What a maroon.

Something is incongruent. A leader of whom in the future, Madam Speaker--your future? Certainly not mine. It's not that I'm unforgiving...I'm unforgetting.

If Jones really is a rising Democrat star-- given the imprimatur of Nancy Pelosi (you don't get more DNC establishment than that)-- then Democrats don't have a leg to stand on accusing Republicans or the Tea Party of ideological extremism. (As if Obama weren't left-wing radical enough.)

Jones as quoted in Time Magazine on 9/3/09:

"Jones now says that he did not sign on to the ideas described in what he signed. “As for the petition that was circulated today, I do not agree with this statement and it certainly does not reflect my views now or ever,” Jones said in the statement."

That does not sound like an apology to me.

"the idea that the people that already climbed that ladder (of success) will give something back"

It's funny how the Democrats' idea of "giving something back" always seems to involve taking something from someone else. Your taking money from someone through legal extortion is not the same as them giving back. Do you think maybe the people that climbed the ladder of success might have learned a few things along the way? Like throwing money into the ravenous government maw so it can give free stuff to people who have no appreciation for what it took to generate that wealth in the first place is maybe not the formula to guarantee success in life.

Hey, everyone remember when King Putt of the Immaculate Teleprompter accused George Bush of being unpatriotic for running massive $400bb deficits. At the time I thought PBHO was arguing that the deficits were too big; in retrospect, he clearly thought that any deficit under a trillion was un-American.

Sometimes the truth is nasty.

Van Jones and the rest of the proggs are more at home with European style governments of a self appointed elite, that would be people like Van Jones, ordering the lives of the uneducated peons. Progressivism is a 19th century European ideology espousing guidance and rule by the elite.

The Constitution now gets in the way of Progressivism, so it must be radically transformed. They say so themselves. That means that individuals excercising their liberty are an impediment to their plans and that needs to be changed.

Disrespectful of others civil liberties is what Progressivism is. Anti-American is what he is.

Patca;

Ever notice the term "activist" is never used by the MSM to describe a conservative? Neither is "reform" - that is only used to mask the lib big spending agendas.

While conservative plans and ideas are always described as "controversial"

अनामित म्हणाले...

Yes, "controversial" seems to be reserved almost exclusively as an adjective for use on the right. Even when national polls show a majority of people in favor, an issue is somehow still "controversial" as long as it's against the de facto position of 10% of the left.

In the interests of letting the past speak for itself, I've posted the post-mortem written by the members of the Communist group in Oakland that Van Jones belonged to (STORM).

It can be downloaded here

Van Jones has never publicly disavowed his association with this group.

It is reasonable to question equal contribution. It is not reasonable to suggest that progressive discrimination is the resolution to real and perceived inequities.

Van Jones is wrong to denigrate individual dignity. He is wrong to pursue normalization of involuntary exploitation. He is wrong to not recognize that redistributive and retributive change are principal means by which progressive corruption of individuals and society occur.

Van Jones is opportunistic and is either unable or incapable of recognizing the regressive principles he promotes.

There is a better way. He seems oblivious to what they may be.

Envy is unbecoming a "progressive" leader.

Toad Trend म्हणाले...

Why has the term Oligarchy gone out of fashion? Isn't that what progressives would love to create?

Toad Trend म्हणाले...

"Envy is unbecoming a "progressive" leader."

'Progressive' is a euphemism for 'socialist'.

Projecting envy is modus operandi 101 for progressives.

Directly related to the 'fairness' meme.

Quite simple, really.

What a great guy...let's put him and his buddies in charge, and just see who "we and they" actually turn out to be.

By the way, I thought Van Jones instigated the OWS for the WH, thought he liked the "no class" 99%...once again, it's all about who's definition is being used. Too bad what they've done to the English language with their double speak.

Van Jones is anti-American. The fact that he doesn't like America and what it stands for while sucking up all the opportunities it has ever given him and denigrating it only proves he's a liar. And that's what leftists do. They lie. They will cheat, they will steal, they will kill to prove to you that they are not leftards.

Scott M म्हणाले...

Van Jones believes that our society should be set up that everyone should be able to take their life, scrunch it up into a ball and toss it in a big bowl, draw out someone else's life at random, and have it be a "pretty good life".

Aside from the obvious "I know better than everyone else what constitutes a good life" arrogance, Van Jones believes that a brain surgeon with multiple years of training and experience doing one of the most difficult jobs in the world, should have a life that's roughly equivalent to that of a janitor.

Abdul Abulbul Amir म्हणाले...

.

Van's big lie is that those that climbed the ladder of success have taken something that rightfully should be given back. This is utter BS. The way to climb that ladder is to give back more than you take all along the way.

If Bill Gates never gave a dime to charity he has created millions of jobs and reduced the cost of goods and services for everyone. He has given far more than he has taken.

Van is either ignorant or a liar.
