... in every episode.
Ever notice?
ADDED: Reminds me of the plant named "Arthur" that popped up in Mad Magazine, so many years ago. I'd like to find you a good link for that, but in looking for one, I found this excellent presentation of the Mad fold-in pages, where you can make the fold with your cursor.

There's also an alien in every Althouse comment thread.
Often more than one...plus some wannabes.
Hey, it's diversity.
I think Superman is somehow in every Seinfeld episode also.
Two great things about the magazines of old, fold ins and fold outs.
The mazing thing about Al Jaffe's fold-ins is that he draws them on a single stiff board and never tests them to see if they line up properly. He does the whole thing in his head first.
(He's also a damned nice guy!)
There was an Alfred Hitchcock in every Alfred Hitchcock movie.
South Park has been a terrific show for a very long time.
AllenS: As time went on, Hitch kept putting himself in his movies earlier and earlier just so people would not be diverted from the film by looking for him!
The original "Arthur" was a marijuana plant in a pot in Bill Gaines' office.
Makes me yearn to dust-off my rainbow wig!
The carnivorous plant Arthur.

I was living in NYC when South Park first came on. I had the damnedest time convincing people that there really is a place called South Park in Colorado.
(Honest. Look for the town of Fairplay, which is where the SP boys come from. That alp it's in is South Park.)

He had real trouble with Lifeboat, since the whole movie takes place in a lifeboat in the Atlantic Ocean.
He put himself into a newspaper ad that floated by.
I am wondering why there is no discussion about the new revolutionary for civil liberties in Egypt.
Aliaa Magda Elmahdy
Why is there no support for her?
Are GOP not capable for supporting freedom?
You go to REDDIT! I'm impressed.
It's not for "old people." My son had to tell me what site he was visiting on the Net to get his "news" ... or commentary.
Then, I became addicted to this site's observations. And, insights.
It also explains why Jon Stewart's Comedy Central is the top news show in this country.
I first saw South Park at a concert, between bands, in a bunch of videos the organizers played while resetting the stage. It was the original one - Santa vs. Jesus - and a revelation. The howls of laughter were off-the-charts. I'm glad it turned out well for them.
Since it's not part of the TV series, I'd guess, there's probably not an alien in that first pilot.
Interesting! But the reddit alien is cuter.
SP had a few yuks once in a while--like the mockery of the LDS cult-- but on the whole the animation's juvenile, the jokes unfunny and predictable . What passes for satire in the US.

And, coincidentally, I drove through South Park last night. Was coming up US 285 from Santa Fe, and turned left onto CO 9 in Fairplay (Park County seat), and 23 miles over Hoosier pass into Breckenridge. If I hadn't turned left there, 285 goes from South Park over Kenosha pass NE into Denver (85 miles from Fairplay).
If you know enough about Colorado, you will constantly find references to local stuff in the episodes. Which I seem to do, having grown up there, and then spent a majority of my adult life there. Grandparents boarded their horses there over the winter a couple times while I was growing up. And, in college in Colorado Springs, drove through South Park on the way to Summit County to ski almost every weekend in the winter. And, yes, it can be brutal there in the winter.
BTW - Kenosha Pass, where the frozen guy was found, has nice aspen trees in the fall. Also, the real elementary school in South Park is a one story school building, next to the middle and high schools, that looks like it was built in the 1960s or so.

Oh, put a sock in it, "Steve"! Your annoying off-topic spam isn't winning you any new readers and never will. All you're doing is increasing the probability that you'll be flooded with counterspam about gay porn, Scientology, and penis enlargers.
Potrzebie!
Furshlugginer!
Gaines was a complete genius. Cheap!
43-Man Squamish!
When I was a kid I had the 'Arthur' plant poster on my wall. I don't think I ever understood the context but I loved the pic and it's recurring role in MAD.
