Tea Party Express and Tea Party Nation come to Wisconsin to help the GOP recall candidates.

CNN reports:
Kicking off their four-day "Restoring Common Sense" tour Friday, Tea Party Nation and Tea Party Express will hold rallies in multiple cities and defend Republicans who supported Gov. Scott Walker's controversial bill that curbed collective bargaining rights for state employees earlier this year....
Here's the tour schedule. I wonder how helpful these outfits really are for these particular candidates. Do they know enough about Wisconsinites, or are they trading on our event to put on their show?

Alert the FBI!
The terrorists are coming!

P.S. I'm sure by now you've heard Palin's take on that:

"If we were really domestic terrorists, shoot, President Obama would be wanting to pal around with us wouldn’t he? I mean he didn’t have a problem with paling around with Bill Ayers back in the day when he kicked off his political career in Bill Ayers apartment, and shaking hands with Chavez..."

Zing!!

I see more capitol protests on your event horizon.

Or it could be just their way of balancing karma in the universe.

You just never know.

The Crack Emcee म्हणाले...

Oh - and happy anniversary!

KCFleming म्हणाले...

The Teahadists will make Deign County protesters see black Yukons everywhere.

I predict more red-hearted balloons, followed by attacks from knife-wielding balloon-hating Wisconsin public employees.

chickelit म्हणाले...

Well I didn't hear team garage whaling like a plaintiff when the outside union money came pouring in so it must be OK.

Isn't the standard of justification these days whether the other guy does it?

KCFleming म्हणाले...

Whaling?

Hilarious typo!

Bruce Rheinstein म्हणाले...

I suspect this won't be quite as bad as Operation Clark County was in 2004, but it could be close.

Outsiders need to be careful when trying to influence elections.

Yes, what crack said:

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!

For weeks, I've been receiving email and written info from OFA...that would be Obama's Organizing for America re-election campaign to join them in defeating the Repubs in the recalls. It is being sent from my teacher's union mailing list.

Why is Obama, the Pres of USA using his re-election group in the WI recalls?

Why are national unions SEIU, AFL-CIO and other forming a coalition group and sending millions into WI to staff and oppose Repubs in recalls in WI. Why did they financially support a defeat Luter Olsen storefront office in Ripon, WI?...his home base.

The Tea Party is a national name for people that want smaller government, reduced and effective spending, and adherence to the constitutional freedoms. You know, terrorists per the VP and Dem meeting. The national Tea Party dollars are miniscule compared to what the left has brought in with finance and staffing.

Yesterday, I went to hear Gov Walker in Ripon WI and the "Walker Stalkers" were there, blocking the street and not letting people get into the parking lot. Police had to be called to step in and move them back after each car went through. They didn't step in front of me, I drive a truck! Walker called them "my fan club". His news was some very good numbers, credit + bond rating, surplus, paying back the dem raided malpractice fund the millions sued Doyle/Dems for taking, schools hiring, jobs numbers up. Yeah, let's definitely recall the people that got this turned around...NOT! Let's get it passed on to DC.

They went all Amish on me, "shame, shame, shame"...who would think people that call themselves progressive would go in for public shamings.

KCFleming म्हणाले...

No mistake, that was perfect!

I have some reservations about the organized groups vs the folks who came out to stand on street corners when the rallies were scheduled. There seem to be quite a few professional politicians who are running to the front of the parade. That is always the problem with real grassroots organizations.

अनामित म्हणाले...

Do they know enough about Wisconsinites

Since they're coming to Wisconsin voluntarily, the answer almost has to be no.

SunnyJ म्हणाले...

@Mike K - certainly some folks, I am one, come out on their own, to observe and listen.

The folks I saw yesterday are using the same signs (most pre printed and labeled by the Dem union groups, OFA etc)and organized and transported by the groups. I'm a instructor and union member so I get the emails and calls to go do the dirty work. The SCLabor Union Newsletter came out yesterday and it is 10 pages of non stop trouble makers classes to take, where to protest, what the national groups are doing in WI for them (which they are very, very proud of), and Walker demonization.

There is nothing spontaneous about anything on the progressive left. The entire idealogy is built on collective, group think, group act, group message...champions of diversity in thinking they are not.

What are the Wisconsin rules about domestic terrorism? Obviously, you've got bus-fulls of them inbound.

I read some Gay Rag at the Willy Coop the other day.

Some dyke who lives with her long time companion is head of some anti-gay group. She is raising lots of money for the pubes and did as well during the Gay Marriage Amendment in Wisconsin. I say you go girl.

Dust Bunny Queen म्हणाले...

What's wrong with their outfits?

In the photos in your link they seem to be wearing normal jeans, tee shirts and sweatshirts.

I don't see any smelly hippie wanna be's wearing outdated tie die and fake retro 60's protest clothing.

The candidates also seem to be wearing normal business attire.

....oh....you meant something else?

edutcher म्हणाले...

The Lefties have been nationalizing local elections for years.

The Tea Partiers understand you fight fire with fire and beat them at their own game.

They may not know much about WI, but how much do the "volunteers" brought in by Media Matters know?

And I don't know that they're "putting on a show". I think they understand this war is going to be won locally, before it's won nationally.

PS Pogo, for a dumb snowbilly, that lady can sure nail it to the barn door, can't she?

WV "galiotsy" Something else that lady would say.

Carol_Herman म्हणाले...

No more grass roots!

This is a group of people who think they're political leaders. At a time when the rallies have dropped off the map.

What happens in Wisconsin, how, is bringing in a lot of money! But the money is being earned by PR groups. And, they don't live in Wisconsin!

You know what that means, don't cha?

It means the circus has arrived. And, carted in a whole bunch of snake oil salesman.

It also lets lots of people "remember" that there's gonna be a vote.

I don't think it motivates the kloppenhoppen gang. Because that's a small group of women who meet at the mall ... in a stall ...

Nordstrom's? J.C. Penny's? You won't be able to tell from the parking lots, though. The whole thing will look like some shoppers have to go pee.

The "Tea Party Express" is a bus tour with various speakers and entertainers. I have seen the show.

अनामित म्हणाले...

WI is becoming quite the epicenter!

Welcome to Wisconsin carpetbaggers! Come fix our problems for us.

Alex म्हणाले...

I wish Althouse will explain how the Tea party express will alienate swing voters from the GOP. An interesting exercise in logic.

Beevalo Bill म्हणाले...

"Welcome to Wisconsin carpetbaggers! Come fix our problems for us."

I think we have a really good start on having problems in Wisconsin fixed.

The recalls are just retribution.

Triangle Man म्हणाले...

Looks like really good timing for a dress rehearsal for the national campaign season.

Chuck66 म्हणाले...

Depends on how they do it. They could do more harm than good. As long as they keep it positive and have fun, fine.

Big tip for you tea party folks....bring lots of cameras, and if you see anyone with an outragious nasty sign, get his/her pricture. Find out who it is. Watch our for plants from the left.

Chuck66 म्हणाले...

".... It is being sent from my teacher's union mailing list."

Serious. Hmmmm, so WEAC is partnering with Obama and pressuring Wisc teachers on the recall elections.

jimspice म्हणाले...

I dare any one of you to do a breakdown of which side REALLY has more out-of-state money pouring in for the recall elections. I honestly don't know, but have a hunch you would be disappointed.

By the way, I think the TPers should have moved the even 1.5 miles south east to the North Shore Country Club. That way, the puppet masters could pull the strings from the cool comfort of the clubhouse.

Scott M म्हणाले...

So that would make all the non-puppets what, exactly?

Matt म्हणाले...

All aboard the Tea Party Death Express. Tell you what GOP. You take the Ryan plan and the rest of us will take Medicare.

Scott M म्हणाले...

You take the Ryan plan and the rest of us will take Medicare.

Some of us had fully functional and effective health care that required neither. POTUS's health care bill is destroying that. Outrage on a very personal level.

The commercials for the Olsen/Fred what's his name campaign are classic. I particularly like the radio ad that starts with facebook and foodstamps and ends with big mansions and fraud. I place it in the Throw everything at the wall and see what sticks category.

I'm not sure why the Democratic party didn't find someone who wasn't at the bottom of the barrel for that particular race.

paminwi म्हणाले...

Obama's gang is going to do a midwest bus tour the week of August 15th. Stops will include places in Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio. You know that Madison will be on the list of places to stop so get ready folks for all kinds of crazy!

If I were one of the recall politicians, I'd politely decline the help. My focus would be on how there shouldn't be a recall election at all, these people are disrespecting voter's time, taxpayer's money and democracy itself and a vote for me is a vote against this nonsense.

I don't think that line would ring as true if I had a dedicated core of traveling helpers getting out the vote.

@ Matt

That would be great!! I would love to be able to choose my medical insurance that would cover me for the things that I actually want and need. and receive a voucher for $8000 to pay the premium instead of being in Medicare.

Medicare isn't free you know. I would still have to pay for Part B (about 98/ month) which covers doodly and then buy a supplement plan for another 200 or so a month.

Most doctors are not accepting Medicare patients anymore and you are lucky to get in even in an emergency. Whereas when you have insurance, you know what your policy will cover and the doctors know how much they will get paid.

Choice is great. Good thing you agree.

Madison, a peaceful, friendly town with Professors and students. Why there is not even a Bar Exam requirement there.

But then the accidental collision of political armies over Madison has hallowed the ground.

If you draw a straight line from Juneau to DC, it first crosses from Canada into the USA 2400 miles from the lair of the Alaskan Impaler of politicians.

If she cannot be stopped at the U. of Wisconsin, then she will speed the final 800 miles to triumphantly enter DC and finish off the politicos there.

All eyes are upon the peaceful, friendly Town.
